As the other thread has filled up I wondered if anyone would like to discuss the book here. I’m listening to it on Audible now.

Of course factually William and Kate have gone through far more staff than Harry and Meghan and some of their former staff actually have done interviews complaining about them (like the woman who Kate fired during the woman's honeymoon) not to mention the endless tabloid articles when they first moved to Anmer about Kate being a nightmare to work with and Carole dominating the household and ordering everyone around.

In general staff that are just moving around between houses and those who came to help H&M transition into the role have been portrayed as having left or been fired.

We just know one of those people was fired for inappropriate behaviour and another has never been a PA, was JK's friend and has now gone back to being a nanny for some tabloid hack.

This detailed report by CBC (the Canadian BBC) disagrees with you, I’m afraid. And Yuri Milner has definitely been accused of being an oligarch - he was included on the US State Department’s 2018 list of oligarchs (in fairness he did protest that)

He has definitely had past close links to oligarchs and Russian state funding though - his company DTS global was financed by both Alisher Usmanov and VTB Bank (both now sanctioned).

The complete lack of transparency over who was financing them when they stayed there - while they were still senior working royals - made me raise my eyebrows both then and now. They were happy for the world to know they were saying in Elton’s villa and flying on his jet.

Oh and thanks to the poster upthread who accused me of being racist and a liar, it reminded me to go back and report the posts I was referring to. MNHQ has deleted them now 😀

I personally am not accusing him of anything, nota (are you okay- you seem to be a bit het up there?). You were the one who said he’d never been accused of being an oligarch. That is simply not the case. He may or may not be one, but the US state department put him on their list a few years ago, do they clearly thought so. What another publication says a few years later doesn’t change that fact.

Also his company was lent $191 million by Usmanov in 2011. I think that points at a slightly greater connection than simply being acquaintances. He was also funded by Kremlin- controlled VTB bank. Who knows what that means? It’s certainly a connection worth a few questions, though, if you are a royal family member, wouldn’t you think? Must be above suspicion and all that…

Milner's trust has also gone and put a statement condemning the Putin state. They also put in 14.5Million to fund humanitarian efforts.

They state the fact they can't help being Russian, but will acknowledge that they do not support the Ukraine war.

Even us in the UK we have lots of dodgy connections with Russia. What's important is to change on not support any of it now. Just like when we finally returned those statues to Nigeria.

Genuine question- what do people who support H&M think about the initial half in half out model they wanted? In my view I wouldn’t have wanted anything to do with my family if it were true that racist comments were made. So half in half out to me doesn’t make sense if what they said on OW is true.
