Catherine not wearing her wedding ring?

Did anyone else notice that Catherine was not wearing her wedding ring at the Commonwealth Games? Seemed strange.

Perhaps she was fully briefed in the deprivation in Sandwell and decided that she could well be mugged for it (joke, kind of) or that it was a dick move to wear a ring thats worth more than the average house price there.

Because some posters are desperate for there to be a problem in the Cambridge marriage !

She only became Kate when the tabloids started writing about her, because it fits so much more easily into a headline.

Op there is no conspiracy theory here, she is not sending coded messages to you. Everyone knows what her engagement ring is and looks like, not wearing it one time doesn’t mean she’s trying to look poorer or something, really.

No - one of the reasons they travel separately is because of the chance of an accident - far higher by helicopter so doubt they’d have the kids (being in line for throne) on board hence train.

They travel to Amner Hall by helicopter all together continually, often every weekend. Even the Queen was concerned about that. There's pics out there showing them going all together.

I am gobsmacked by the number of people who just don't wear their wedding and/or engagement rings! What on earth do you do with them? Just leave them in a little dish somewhere? I know I'd mislay them. Over three decades and I've never taken mine off! Apart from having a massage, I love a hand massage.

My husband doesn’t wear jewellery, he wore a band for the ceremony and it’s still in the box 17 years later, I think it’s a personal choice, my own engagement ring is somewhere (we moved house) so I’ve no idea where it is 🤯

Of course it's personal choice, never said it wasn't. I was only really saying I'd lose mine if I put it down somewhere!

My DH has never worn any jewellery, no wedding ring nothing.

She really isn’t that thin, we are just used to seeing people who are overweight. I bet her BMI is healthy and she’s very toned

Usually I'm the first to say we've lost sight of what healthy looks like. I'm a size 8, I run marathons and I'm sick of people telling me I'm "too thin."
But that said, when I saw Kate in person recently I was shocked. She is very, very, thin. I would guess a good couple of stone lighter than me, and I have a bmi of 20.

The rings are a non issue. I take mine off sometimes, and mine are obviously nowhere near as heavy or as valuable as hers.

Come on, the subtext is she took it off in a rage and flung it over the balcony hitting W on the head.

My engagement ring lives in its box in a safe place. I got fed up of having to clean stuff out of it, and of scratching myself on the clasps, so stopped wearing it after about 5 years. Still wear my slim wedding band every day (unless I forget to put it back on after moisturising, or cleaning the sink).

I guess I don’t fetishise these things so that they are somehow a measure of my love or the success of my marriage. They’re jewellery. But then I am not religious so don’t believe in having rings blessed or that they take on some higher significance because an old man in a dress said words over them. Church wedders might feel differently.

DH and I exchanged rings but whether we are wearing them or not makes no difference to us. DH plays a wind instrument professionally, and found early on that his band restricted his movement, so stopped wearing it. We are still very happy 20 years on!

This is not true. They travelled together so often with the children by helicopter that even the Queen publicly expressed concern.
This is nothing to do with security. Catherine decided to travel by public train while William still flew by helicopter.

I don't either. Wearing a ring has nothing to do with the state of a marriage!
I was only commenting on my knack of losing things, I don't ever take them off for that very reason!

I have no idea what point you're trying to make OP, but I don't think there's anything wrong with her not wearing her engagement ring.
