Catherine not wearing her wedding ring?

Did anyone else notice that Catherine was not wearing her wedding ring at the Commonwealth Games? Seemed strange.

I noticed this too OP as she does appear to wear it all the time in public. She had it on sailing in a wet suit a couple of days prior. Perhaps they're trying to appear more humble due to a large percentage of the country struggling.

Although I can't imagine all the speculation online is great for anyones marriage.

I personally don't always wear mine as it is large and valuable and I prefer to wear just a band in case I catch it day to day. So it could just be this.

I'm guessing you're trying to imply that because she only has her wedding ring and not her engagement ring, it's proof her marriage is in trouble. Are you bored today?

Maybe she is trying to appear more humble? I know there is a lot of criticism of the Royal Families displays of wealth when so many people are struggling.

Catherine obviously works hard on her appearance at public occasions though and matches colours appropriate to events or wears clothes that make references to the event e.g. military braiding.
So not wearing her engagement ring may be sending a message. Perhaps as suggested that she is being less conspicuous about wealth?
Princess Diana did signal issues in her marriage by not wearing her ring. But I just do not see Catherine doing this. So no I was not suggesting that. The two women are very different personality-wise.
I do think Catherine is interested in public opinion and responding to it, more than William is. Hence her travel by public train to the Commonwealth Games while William flew by helicopter.

This is Catherine at the Commonwealth Games. I can not see any rings.

She has a slim wedding band , probably so that it fits easily under the rather large stones on her engagement ring.

What I took away from the link is that I have the exact same dress as Princess Charlotte. I am 68.

OP it is disingenuous of you to say that you are not implying anything by this thread. A quick glance at the RF threads shows that you have at least 3 threads that you have started that are on the subject of the Cambridges and all would seem to me to be trying to imply something negative about them, from their taking public transport to their alleged high turnover of staff.

Perhaps she doesn’t want to wear it anymore - it’s a monstrosity! In 26 years of marriage I’ve never worn a wedding or engagement ring - still married!

They are public figures not Gods.

The Times ran a very charming story about the DoC yesterday. She was on a train to the games, waiting for the loo, no security. ReAlly??

@Justasec321 because you can say really nasty things about Meghan and Harry, but anything mildly critical of Catherine or William is beyond the pale.

So even praising Catherine for taking the train to the Commonwealth Games while William went by helicopter is terrible as it implies criticism of William.
And I am critical of William and his frequent helicopter flights.

On a personal note I am most critical of Andrew followed by Charles. So many scandals.

Sometimes I swap my rings over to my right hand due to developing eczema patches under the band - I was none too pleased with a fellow diner asked if i was going through a divorce because I'd moved my rings - I wasn't too polite in my response.

You mean that two people, who never met each other, have different personalities and opinions. No, never, I don't believe you. I have some rings that I love but I don't wear all the time as they are heavy and I worry about them falling off or getting caught on certain clothes. Maybe Catherine is the same, maybe not.

i saw the pics and vaguely wondered where her engagement ring was, given she wears it everywhere. I assume it was to go on the water then she’s left it off for practicality

Bloody hell. I haven't worn my wedding ring for years, I don't think anyone has noticed. Probably not even DH, he's never had one.

Why on earth would anyone care about what another person has on their fingers?

My eyesight’s shocking and I had to enlarge the photo to find it.

Why would you even be looking? You see her on tv footage and actively look at her hand for her rings?
