I also wondered at the timing of the photo. But I just read they were not allowed to release a photo during the jubilee. So they did or immediately after. That makes sense.

I thought the article sad they weren’t allowed to have a private photographer with them when they introduced their daughter to Her Majesty.

Abra1d1 · 08/06/2022 13:46

The black and white photos must have been before the Lili birthday as Meghan's face is much slimmer. Did she have fillers in her cheeks for the cathedral appearance? I actually like her best in casual clothes and think she looks great in the black and white picture, but you think she might have had the little spot on her trouser leg photoshopped out.

Abra1d1 · 08/06/2022 13:51

That came out sounding cattier than I meant, but her face does look different at the cathedral appearance--the cheeks are rounder. Very vigorous facial massage beforehand? Contouring? Or just angles?

I would imagine it would be hard to take a bad photograph of her--she is really is stunning.

Yes, setting up other adults to fail in order to create drama is one thing. Dragging kids into it is dreadful behaviour.

🤣🤣 Isn't this a bit of a stretch ?

I wish people would stop about Hewitt. Harry is the image of a young Prince Philip.

Agree that the Hewitt stuff is nonsense, but honestly, Harry looks nothing like a young Prince Philip!

They’re the spitting image of each other!

Have you not seen pictures of a young Prince Philip?!

DietCoke99 · 09/06/2022 01:01

That Elle article really does show how much Prince Harry looks like his grandfather.

Ohnonevermind · 09/06/2022 01:29

You can see a resemblance in this picture too between William and DOE - I’d never noticed a resemblance before

Jolly nice photos of Lilibet
Ohnonevermind · 09/06/2022 01:31

I’d also noticed a headline in the Huff post saying
‘Charlotte slyly corrects her brother’ - not a nice word I thought.

Hmmm.

Remove the beard and the uniform cap and the " resemblance" disappears.

Very sweet. Lovely red hair.

He looks just like him!

Different people see different things, I guess but I think the resemblence is in:

  • the eyes (without meaning to be rude, both are slightly too close together and tear shaped so that the widest and deepest set part of the eye opening is next to the nose, compare with rounded eyes where the widest part is in the centre of the eye)
  • The bridge of the nose (albeit, Phillip's nose was then longer and more pronounced)
  • The teeth - which are pretty much the same shape with the same slight gap in the front top two

He doesn't does he apart from the fact they were both young white males with beards, two eyes, a nose and a mouth. William is more like him apart from the superficial e.g. the beard. Their faces are a similar shape where Harry's is much rounder.

ChairP0se9to5 · 09/06/2022 11:27

Prince philip had quite close set eyes like harry. I see a resemblance

The resemblance is very marked if you look at photos of both from just under the nose upwards, Charles as well.

headstone · 09/06/2022 11:47

It’s the close sets eyes they all have. Fortunately the grandchildren have escaped that!

Abra1d1 · 09/06/2022 12:09

I actually found those close-set, eagle eyes of Prince Philip's in his youth attractive. I agree that it can look a bit Henry VIII-like. Harry actually does look a bit like him now.

Yes they both have eyes, 2 each, one each side of their noses.

Why can't we just have Harry looking like Harry, Lilibet looking like Lilibet. Why the desperation to prove who they look like. They are both people in their own right.

headstone · 09/06/2022 12:19

Where is the fun in that ancientgran? The royals are given huge wealth and inherited privilege and the plebs get to observe them.

BackwardsPrawn · 09/06/2022 12:32

Isn't it just shooting the breeze rather than desperation?

I am my own person, but am always being told I have my gran's thighs (this is not a compliment!!) Grin

SoupDragon · 09/06/2022 12:33

Why the desperation to prove who they look like.

equally, why the desperation to prove who they don't look like?

You know who Harry looks like, I mean really really looks like? He looks like Harry.

This seems to be done so much more for Harry than any other royal, is it a hang up because of the stories about whoever it was with red hair that people speculated was his father? People desperate to "prove" something? I honestly think there is some of that in there because you just don't hear it much about the others and if it is that I think it is so unnecessary and would be hurtful if he knew about it, I'm sure he has other things to do but if he did happen to hear it. Just leave him alone, he is Harry.
