Nessie?
A cannibal unicorn?
A secret alien society?

I also would like to know what kind of skills do the right people he is ensuring she has around her have.

link to the BBC because this is a serious business.

The Men in Grey? Didn’t he say something similar in the Oprah interview, that she was surrounded by people who did not advise her well?

😂As classic a case of projection as any I've seen.

MissPolliezDolly · 20/04/2022 21:09

Blimey. I never for a moment thought he could be referring to Andrew.

But even so, Im still of the opinion he needs to be he’s quite ridiculous.

Why2why · 20/04/2022 21:21

The fact of the matter is that the public have no idea what goes on behind closed doors with this Royal Family.

It was a curious comment and he knew that it would be turned into a story. I believe what he said but like everyone else, I have no idea what he means.

The Queen is his grandmother and it is extremely foolish for the British public to assume they know more than him what his relationship is like with his grandmother or to assume his grandmother will hate him simply because certain sections of the British public rant and rage about him.

What that interview shows is that all these Royal experts and commentators, who sit outside the palace gate speculating about conversations, thoughts, feelings amongst the members of the Royal family, are nothing but snake oil sales men and women. They know nothing about these people and their relationships.

Why2why · 20/04/2022 21:25

And Prince Harry is quite mischievous. I think he likes riling up the British press. He plays them like a fiddle and must be having a good laugh. Great publicity for him and he gets to confuse the hateful British public, who will debate and speculate, and rant and rage.

It was a curious comment but deliberately so.

CharityShopChic · 20/04/2022 21:31

I don't think he's bright enough to think in so much depth about what he says and how it might be perceived to "wind up" the press or play the public like a fiddle.

But hey, if Harry says he's protecting the Queen that's his truth and therefore must be taken as gospel.

What you think is irrelevant and may or may not accord with reality.

He seems bright enough from where I am standing.

Oh and surely the British public can see that the Queen does not care what you think when it comes to her flesh and blood. She openly and publicly walked with her son Andrew. Showing the world that it is her son. Her son! And despite his abhorrent behaviour she will walk with him and won’t hate him or banish him because the baying mob said so.

Let that sink in. The Queen is not your puppet and her relationship with her family will be decided by her. Harry is her grandson.

LetitiaLeghorn · 20/04/2022 21:43

@Aspiringmatriarch I heard there were criminal things. But, obviously, I can't substantiate it so I won't repeat a rumour.

Beautifully put, India. CBB misses you.

People who park in her driveway.

MsFogi · 20/04/2022 22:06

I think he is trying to position himself to be in the running to be the next James Bond.

Surely then what you think....is irrelevant and may or may not accord with reality.

But you seem pretty sure you are right.

This is what I don't get about these threads. They always end up with 'Harry doesn't care what you think' despite no body ever suggesting he does. Of course he doesn't. Nor does he care if you post supporting him. Everyone on both sides are just giving their opinion based on what they have seen /read.

Surely, since both are just opinions. Both are as valid or invalid as eachother?

Why2why · 20/04/2022 22:10

@WinnieTheW0rm , the lawyers wanted to call Meghan Markle because they claim she is the only one brave enough to expose the Royal Family and she may have been privy to inside knowledge about what was being said behind closed doors about Prince Andrew. They never ever said what you claim they said.

The Queen appears to do her own thing and does as she pleases (and why not)? Charles and William might have asked her to banish Andrew. If so, she must have told them to take a hike.

The public does not know who the Queen trusts or listens to. On the face of it, it’s not Charles or William. Seems she is more likely to listen to Andrew than them. Says a lot.

If it’s that Harry dresses as a nazi, we’ve seen those pics already, it’s old news.

none of them are any good really

Ohilovetorave · 20/04/2022 22:14

I think

Blinkingbatshit · 20/04/2022 22:22

He went to Eton and had the BEST schooling and help money could provide.. and still didn’t get halfway decent a-level results…..he’s very definitely not hugely bright!….and it doesn’t say much for Eton either to be fair😂!!….. he claimed he wanted to be normal and insignificant….but actually doesn’t want to be because then well, he’s not much is he?! He’d be so much better off if he actually lived the quiet life he claimed he wanted….and I reckon the press would leave him be more then too!!! But actually, he craves the limelight….

nope, not that, many more pix

Skiptheheartsandflowers · 20/04/2022 22:53

This is one of those classic Harry remarks where he wants to take a pot shot at someone - presumably one or more of the people who now have more regular access to the queen than he does - and crowbars that into an interview without thinking through how to handle any follow up. Like his infamous remarks that for Meghan the Royals were 'the family she never had' (hasn't that aged well!) when, once anyone pointed out that Meghan had in fact had a family, he got defensive and then it was 'I said what I said' (yes, Harry, it didn't make sense and neither does your follow up). However, since he won't do any interviews where he might be challenged - not unlike the Royals generally - no one will get to ask him how he is actually carrying out this mission of protecting the queen.

HeddaGarbled · 20/04/2022 23:12

Andrew is neither a paedo nor a nonce.

His behaviour was bad enough. You don’t have to exaggerate. It just makes you look pitchforky and devalues the rest of your contribution to the discussion.

OverByYer · 20/04/2022 23:16

Alright Sarah calm down.

LetitiaLeghorn · 20/04/2022 23:23

And it's not just the pix. It's who the pix are with.

GreenClock · 20/04/2022 23:27

He strikes me as dim but well-meaning. He’s probably concerned about Prince Andrew’s behaviour and its impact on his grandmother.

Gilmorehill · 20/04/2022 23:30

I wish the interviewers would actually press their subjects to elaborate on what they mean. If it happened often enough, Harry might think more carefully. On the other hand, he may be deluded enough to believe what he said. As HM has a devoted and loyal family and staff who have taken care of her whilst H has been in California, you have to question his thinking.

Hatinafield · 20/04/2022 23:33

I wonder what sort of search terms one might employ to investigate these heinous and surely untrue photo rumours…

GetThatHelmetOn · 21/04/2022 05:35

To be honest I am not sure who is causing more reputational damage to the crown. Andrew has just settled to avoid a paedophile prosecution but Harry has had a background of open and documented debauchery, saw it fit to dress as a nazi and still has us wondering who is the racist person in the royal family who commented on the colour of his child skin and let’s not forget that book is still to be published (and for those saying he is bright… he doesn’t even have the writing skills to write it himself), it would be interesting to see what other imaginative stuff he comes out with.

As for him being close and probably knowing his grandmother better… Oh well, there is some confusion on what kind of grandmother relationship he has with her, certainly not like the most of us have with ours, as Megan highlighted, he has to curtsy and ask for audience. If I had told grandma I had something important to tell her/have troubles, she would have dropped everything to discuss whatever it was with me over a cup of coffee not leaving me hanging for weeks and, after 2 years of distance, she would have certainly blocked a whole day off in her diary to receive me with hand made food not allocating a one hour audience to talk. We cannot judge the royal family as we do ours, perhaps the closest person to the queen is her secretary and for Harry, his nanny (if Eton didn’t make him forget her or define her as irrelevant).

None possible for unpublished photos

That ought to be obvious!!
