Prince Harry not attending Philips memorial

It has been confirmed that Prince Harry will not be attending P Philips memorial service. What are people’s thoughts about this? Is the whole security issue a smoke screen for the fact he can’t face his family?

i do hate how it’s become Harry is the bad one while William is a saint, when actually it appears that they are both flawed adults who don’t always make perfect choices. The vilification of Harry in the media is ridiculous IMO

Up to him if he comes or not. I don't believe it's anything to do with security though, except in using it to prove that he can't come back to the U.K. without security being provided.

As for who's "good" and who's "bad", if you wash your dirty linen and that of your very well known family in the most public way possible then you must expect people to form an opinion. I think H & M are similar to a lot of SM driven people these days, in that they enjoy the status victimhood and "suffering" gives them. Harry didn't just talk about himself, he raked his family over the coals too, talking and opining on choices and decisions they made that have cemented their whole lives. He and his wife attacked everything and were flexible with the truth at times and it must have been horribly humiliating and hurtful. He knew what it would do and that they wouldn't be able to reply or defend themselves. It doesn't really matter whose "side" you're on, that was dreadful behaviour.

He doesn’t think before he speaks either…what about the radio interview he gave when he first started going out with Meghan where he said;
“she’ll have the family she never had…”

I don’t think it’s anything to do with security, he would be perfectly safe if he did come back and he knows it. He could easily return low key and be safe at Windsor or wherever. I think it’s pretty disgusting that he can’t man up enough to return for his grandfather’s memorial, I would have thought he could keep in the background and return to USA immediately afterwards with no fanfare or attention-seeking. His behaviour to me is very disappointing and perhaps indicative of how little he thinks of his family and the monarch. If he were my son I would be pretty disgusted in this situation.

Your rant doesn't make much sense.
You are complaining that he is saying, he is not coming to a big event, that would obviously draw attention to him.
You are also saying he could come come incognito, so why would he announce he is coming if it's secretly ?

The press are just angry because if he does come secretly, they won't be able to make money selling his photos and pumping up articles from 'body language expects' etc.

His spokesperson issued a statement saying he wasn’t coming . Absolutely no need to , so long as HM and organisers knew.

Well given the Queen is no longer going, I think he probably is trying to avoid further fanfare from his presence alone.

This! William and Kate being the perfect ones when the media used to rip her apart does my head in. No one is that happy to be meeting people with a fake smile al day long wearing a stupid coat dress uniform

If H and M are happy , that’s great. If being away from the U.K. and the RF is helping their mental health , that’s great . I hope they are happy .
BUT , drop the titles .
