stop hijacking every single thread that has nothing at all to do with him, it is annoying

Annoyingly relevant?

Harry Must Be Punished. Andrew can just be sidelined. The double standards MUST be maintained.

Roussette · 16/01/2022 16:22

then I am sure it could easily be done with some hair dye and a new look

PMSL.
Perhaps he should get a new face and go and live in the Brazilian rainforests!

nottodaybatman · 16/01/2022 16:22

@NiceShrubbery

Bingo

The hypocrisy is deafening

stairway · 16/01/2022 16:25

Roussette Andrew and Harry are separate issues for the royal family don’t see why you have to bring up Andrew anytime Harry is mentioned. Andrew is being stripped of his titles and hidden away and no doubt Ms Guiffre will have a massive pay off. Harry is another different kind of problem for the Royal family without an easy solution. Clearly none of them trust him anymore and I doubt Meghan will ever be back. I don’t think she will let the kids travel without her so the security is just for him really. Don’t see why he can’t just stay with his Dad and not need anything extra.

SueSaid · 16/01/2022 16:27

'If H is a "thorn in the side", what's Andrew? A whole rosebush in the face.'

Seems most likely that they don't want to come back to the UK for QE2's jubilee stuff and want to get the excuses in early.

It will be win-win really as I expect the RF will heave a collective sigh of relief if Harry stays away too.

Roussette · 16/01/2022 16:29

The reason stairway is the matter of Protection. Only yesterday there were news articles about us not paying for Andrew's Protection Officers. And questions to a Minister about it 2 days ago.
And today the statement from Harry regarding protection.

So, sorry, it is relevant.

@Snowdropsinourforest

The Queen has spent seventy years serving her country - seventy years!

People that do not live here in the UK have no true concept of HM's importance, the respect she commands and the love most of the British public and many millions overseas have for her. Of course she wants the RF to survive how ludicrous to suggest otherwise nice and her main purpose now is to ensure that PC and PW are in the best possible shape to take on the new slimmed down version of the Monarchy that will live on. There are a great many positives - Katherine is a huge asset, Camilla has really come through and the Cambridge children of course. Harry is the thorn in the side, but they can handle him, and once the coffers have run dry he won't be able to take the world and its dog to court over every little slight, and he might finally realise everything he has thrown away.

Oh dear lord! It pains me that so many people in this country still feel the way you about the monarchy but there you go. How dare Harry want to live a life where his kids aren't hounded by the media for merely existing. There was a really interesting FB post someone put together a few years ago, that put articles about Kate and Meghan side by side that perfectly encapsulated the disgusting treatment M had experienced most likely because she is a mixed race American with her own mind. It's was frankly shocking when you saw it in black and white. As another poster has rightly said, Harry is the queens grandson and there is nothing he can do to change that.
LondonWolf · 16/01/2022 16:30

It's true I never met PA. I did meet Princess Margaret (as a child), Princess Anne (as a teen) and the Queen Mother x 2. She was Colonel in chief of our corps - Women's Royal Army Corps - and inspected me on parade before we disbanded. Also saw QE & PP from a distance at a unit I was stationed at years ago 😊

All this sneering, ignorance and pretending to be highly amused/disbelieving when someone relates their own experiences that are outside your own clearly very narrow spheres of experience, really does show some of you up, especially on these threads railing against the unkindness and supposed misinformation thrown at poor old H&M, and I bet you genuinely think you're the kind, righteous ones don't you? 😏

dittymcdit · 16/01/2022 16:30

@Nesbo

Harry has no choice but to be the grandson of the Queen. Until we get rid of the ridiculous institution we need to accept that the family have targets on their back. Harry doubly because…fucking nutters.

If he wants to pay for better security while he is here then we should be fucking bending over backwards to sort it, because if he, his wife or his kids get murdered that’s on us for putting them in this position.

He can never step away from who he is. It’s a fucking cage and some people are pissed off even when he wants to pay to gild it.

Yes, I saw that, and probably have a copy of it somewhere on my laptop.
Sadly, it will not hit home with those that loathe the couple. They'll just discount it as nothing. I've linked it before, and that's what's happened.

Ontheblink · 16/01/2022 16:41

The royals are becoming so bloody predictable, every time there is shit circulating about Andrew they find a few scraps of Harry and Meghan to feed to the dogs that are the British press to distract from the disaster that is their precious pervert Andrew. Yawn

stairway · 16/01/2022 16:43

Nothing wrong with Harry wanting his family to live in America if UK is so awful, but he can’t expect extra privileges when he comes over here anymore as he isn’t a working royal.

He wants to pay to keep his family safe. As posts below have said, he can't suddenly not be the queens grandson, nor can he stop him or his family being the potential targets of nutters. So what is the problem exactly?
Samcro · 16/01/2022 16:49

@Snowdropsinourforest

user I am afraid you seem rather clueless yourself. Of course everyone knows they now have separate and competing interests and media circles. Everyone knows the Queen is wonderfully committed and a very intelligent and wise person - we also know that how strong she is, and the kind of terrible damage and shame Harry has brought to the family will never be forgiven.
Pmsl shame really. The only one who ahs brought shame on the rf is andrew.
stairway · 16/01/2022 16:50

Dittymcdit He wants to pay to use our police resources which are already thinly stretched as it is.

But no he made himself a target by vilifying the Queen and the Royal Family, thereby making his security situation even worse!

Actually the threats started while he was a senior working royal.

Roussette · 16/01/2022 17:00

I don't want to pay for security

Good job he has offered to pay himself then.

We can hardly call him the Queen's grandson after all he has done, maybe in name, but nothing more

Lol. Apparently they get on really well... still.

Why don't you write to the Queen and tell her she needs to denounce him as a Grandson if you feel so strongly! .😂

I will re-link it.

Funny how all the people who remember tabloid lies (they want privacy etc.) just cannot for the life of them remember this one.

This is my thought. They need a good excuse for not going, and this is it.
Roussette · 16/01/2022 17:02

Thank you rubics

My laptop needs a bit of a tidy up.

Sadly I don't think the posters who should be reading this will.
I, however, will look at it again to confirm what I already know.

Roussette · 16/01/2022 17:05

They need a good excuse for not going, and this is it

Who knows, that could be true and for that, I don't blame them one little bit.
However, the only fly in the ointment is... they didn't break the story. This has been rumbling on for months now, ith no word from them, and it was only a totally untrue story by the MoS that brought this up.

Lockupyourbiscuits · 16/01/2022 17:05

He knows he won’t have to pay
That bit is false

It’s disingenuous but a clever strategy to garner support

He knew he would lose the security when he left as it would have been pointed out but the strategy is to plough ahead then force the issue

It’s always push push push

Your experience is interesting! Some posters just can't handle anything that makes them question their beliefs/shows that they're wrong.
