Blurb from publisher.

In an intimate and heartfelt memoir from one of the most fascinating and influential global figures of our time, Prince Harry will share, for the very first time, the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him.

Covering his lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day, including his dedication to service, the military duty that twice took him to the frontlines of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in being a husband and father, Prince Harry will offer an honest and captivating personal portrait, on that shows readers that behind everything they think they know lies an inspiring, courageous and uplifting human story.'

@Roussette

He's a spoiled, whining brat

Nice. Hmm

Well, its the name calling that is the norm and encouraged on these threads. Hmm
Bovrilly · 21/07/2021 20:49
@Bovrilly has it occurred to you that you might be arguing with the metaphors? In the same way that saying someone is a grass in prison doesn't literally mean they are growing and photosynthesising in a feeling, but it's still interesting?
Not sure what "arguing with the metaphors" means. If you're asking, did I realise that the pigeon reference was a metaphor, yes I did. I was laughing at someone taking offence because they spot this and thought they were literally being called a pigeon.

Thank you for the example but it's not really a metaphor - grass apparently comes from rhyming slang, so it's more like a code I guess.

sadperson16 · 21/07/2021 20:50

Couldnt they with dignity and a humble mind set have done so much?

ajandjjmum · 21/07/2021 20:50

@Roussette

A huge difference. But we don't know what Harry's book will cover, do we? Or do we? Do you?
None of us know - but I feel I could take a guess.......
Samcro · 21/07/2021 20:51

@Roussette

I find it really quite bizarre how obsessively defensive they are over a complete stranger

On the flip sie, I find it really quite bizarre how obsessively negative posters are over them.

Unless it is just because of the life of absolute privilege, like others.

Agree
Puzzledandpissedoff · 21/07/2021 20:52

I’m disappointed by the lack of pigeon emojis but here’s one with a painted tail

Ah, but has its tail been dipped in a paint pot and does it serenade?

These crucial little details can make all the difference ...

NeonDreams · 21/07/2021 20:52

I love this comment from someone over at Celebitchy:

"In his last speech, when he told his charity he was stepping away, remember his words: “If you knew what I know about this family….”

Harry KNOWS where the “bodies” are buried. He KNOWS enough to have them quaking in their custom made boots. Personally, although I’m almost certain he won’t, I hope he blows it all up nuclear, and doesn’t look back."

Admittedly it is a very pro Meghan and Harry site, being basically mainly about US and based in the US. Haters should read at their peril; people truly admire Harry and Meghan over there and want to see the RF smashed to pieces for how they treated them.

Ah it’s mainly because of all the bullshit they’ve spouted and continue to spout.
Bovrilly · 21/07/2021 20:55

@Mummy194

Seriously? Sources told the Daily Telegraph...................

Torygraph reporter lied about MM making KM cry and now we are supposed to believe that she has been feeding them info? I can tell you, if that happened, Camilla T would make sure to let us know she is feeding them info, and most probably record it to prove and humiliate them.

Well you said they never said it, then when someone provided a link you said it couldn't be true because it was only in the NYP. So just pointing out that it was actually reported elsewhere, in other papers too, not just the DT. Sorry if that's inconvenient 🤷‍♀️

@pearl grey this is exactly what I think about the dynamic between Harry and Meghan. Meghan’s style is earnest, hard working, professional and clearly informed by a lot of therapeutic concepts that helped her see her way clear through to leaving the BRF rather than flailing about in a futile situation. She is both mature and Zen.

I also think it’s informative to remember who Meghan was and wasn’t before she married in. She was the opposite of one of those starlets constantly being papped and swanning around the pages of US weekly. And she easily could have been. To the English press, red carpets may seem like attention seeking, but they’re simply a professional part of being a working television actress. Meghan’s work seems to be informed by her experiences but far less autobiographical than the direction Harry takes. She honestly sounds to me like someone who worked it all out in therapy a very long time ago.*

Ah it’s mainly because of all the bullshit they’ve spouted and continue to spout

That's encapsulated most of the comments about Prince Harry is one short, clear sentence!

I hadn't realised that H&M had said so clearly that the Oprah interview was their last word. That didn't last long, did it!

Mummy194 · 21/07/2021 20:57

I was hoping they bring a more reliable publication rather than ones that have told outright lies about H&M.

CallmeHendricks · 21/07/2021 21:00

You're very fond of hurling the "liar" accusations about, aren't you, @Mummy195?

FrippEnos · 21/07/2021 21:00

NeonDreams

There are many in the US that hate the English and the monarchy.

And will never see anything other than Harry and Meghan's truth, because that is all they want to see because it validates their views.

Unfortunately for (or because of) some posters there can never be a balanced discussion.

I agree Neon, but I also think it's not just the US that appreciate H&M. Lot of people in different countries, and yes especially the younger people.

Even here in the UK, it's not that many people who don't like them, no matter what a few people on MN and DM try to convince you.

ginandbearit · 21/07/2021 21:02

If only Mrs Merton was still with us.."so Meghan ..what was it that attracted you to multi millionaire PRINCE Harry? "😁

I'm not about to click that website, but is this something Harry provably said or just something a rag made up?

Apologies for the pedantry, but the issue of what Harry might know and what that could mean is something I've wondered about for a while, and this has obvious relevance to it

Samcro · 21/07/2021 21:04

Good grief so now we have links to some other forum.
Random or what.

MM was reported to be worth around 5M herself. Which is not that unbelievable as she had the steady income from Suits, Tig, Adverts and other small roles, the clothing capsule etc. Single, no children etc.
Bovrilly · 21/07/2021 21:08

@Mummy194

I was hoping they bring a more reliable publication rather than ones that have told outright lies about H&M.
Well in 2 minutes I found it in four different papers so I'm sure if you have a look you'll find it in your publication of choice.

Or what you could do instead is say - sorry, I was sure they hadn't said that but I'm obviously mistaken. Apologies again, you were right (cba to check who it was you said was presenting untruths as facts) and I was wrong.

Mummy194 · 21/07/2021 21:13

Why on earth would I say that. Two publications were both unreliable, one quoting a completely unreliable publication, where their rr was even caught on video lying outright.

CallmeHendricks · 21/07/2021 21:14

Name me ONE POST where I have been vitriolic.
Hasn't happened.
