I just read Harry is going to sue the BBC for announcing the Queen wasn't consulted over the name Lilibet. They said she was told of their plans . Maybe told isnt quite the same as consulted. When is this all going to end. Seems to be getting worse instead of improving.

Oh I see at least they are both kitchen appliances! my imagination was thinking more of a huge contraption that ironed with a waffle print. - not sure what use that would be !

It does seem provocative. If we hadn't had the Oprah crap it wouldn't have been such an intrusive thing to have done.

They act like the Queen and the Monarchy are 2 separate things. So criticise one yet sycophantically hang on to the tails of the other all for the benefit of their US audience. Even after their Oprah reveal they went to great pains to then announce ooo no it wasn’t the Queen who said that, we adore her she has done nothing wrong .

I've read enough excerpts from it to know that I won't be wasting my money on it. But yes, the thread about it was deleted.

Bizarre and really quite fascinating, isn’t it?
The whole thing is bizarre and fascinating.

Scobie is simultaneously close enough to write a book, but totally not close, whilst also being a pseudo-spokesperson.
Getting married changes its meaning depending on what the wind is.
Conversations did and didn't happen, or happened at different times, depending on what they think will get headlines and sympathy.
The Queen is apparently amazing and they care for her, whilst they slate the family and generations of parenting for being awful.
Don't want titles, but do want titles, but lack of titles is linked to race, wait we didn't actually mean that, why are people fact checking us.

It's much like many other things they talk about: yes this happened, well no maybe not, but it did happen, we don't want to discuss this, wait we do, we do, we are victims, focus on us and our trauma and our victimhood.

@museumum the royal family didn't weigh in. The bbc reported something from a palace source and as expected Harry has got his knickers in a twist about it.

Actually, re: William and Kate's good wishes message for "Lili," I too wonder if it might have been deliberate (not being willing to publicly acknowledge the full name).
But if it was, then I don't blame them.
Although, I note that Charles used Lilibet in his message.
