Harry and Megan have just announced their new baby's name.

What's everyone's thoughts?

I wonder why they're giving their children nicknames instead of full names? I know it's a fashion, but it's likely to seem dated when the fashion changes. Also a bit odd in the royal family, and sets them apart, which I wouldn't have thought Harry and Meghan would want.

It makes a charade out of their revelations on Oprah. Racist family! Suck up name choice!

Correcting posters who make a false and irrelevant claim is not 'irrelevant'.

Lili is nice - although I prefer Lily. Lilibet is cute but a nickname, but then again Archie is a nickname too.

I just can't get my head around publicly slating your family but then giving your child a name that links them to the family you allegedly detest so much. Either you cut ties or you don't.

How would you think it if they said "Her name is Elizabether, but we will call her Lillibet"?

I mean, even Prince Harry's parents only ever call him Harry.

Since the baby will be three weeks old at the statue unveiling. I wonder if this means H will go?

Its total disrespect. Also they've almost copied Princess Charlotte's name. Dreadful.

Well, firstly, no they haven’t.

But one of George’s middle names is Louis! The Cambridge’s literally reused a name when naming their own children. So they could hardly complain even if Charlotte’s name had been ‘copied’.

Love it. Anyone finding it anything other than fair enough that they named their daughter after a beloved mother and grandma is odd, imo.

I was indifferent to Harry and Meghan for a year or two, but now I loathe them, and their constant fucking attention-seeking.. I used to like them when they first got together/got married, but went off them (a bit) when they fucked off to Canada (and then America 5 minutes later - back to MEGHAN'S home.) And now I LOATHE them!

And this name is a piss-take IMO.

I dislike this precious pair even more now ... I wish they'd bore off, stay in the USA, and NEVER darken our doorstep again. I wish the media/news would stop featuring them, and massaging their egos!

There is a statue of Diana being unveiled on 1st July. William and Harry were/are going to do it.
