Harry and Megan have just announced their new baby's name.

What's everyone's thoughts?

Nice names, but I would have chosen them if I were them. They are saddling their child with everyone knowing she's the Queen's great grand daughter and Princess Diana's grandchild if she were still alive. To me that seems quite a legacy to live up to - and hardly making a life of privacy and obscurity.

I'm surprised they went so traditional and girly - I was expecting her to be named after a feminist icon (though I suppose some people think the queen is). Lili isn't to my liking because Lily is SO popular, but I'm really pleased for them and wish them well.

I think Lilibet is a beautiful name.

Some people really should get a life, it's not healthy to be that bothered about a young couple.

I hope Harry is enjoying the USA because no one on this side of the pond could look at him with a straight face anymore.

I know of two other people in real life (and neither live in the UK) with the name Lillibet. It's an actual name. People just didn't know that, and assume it's a fake/pet name.

Nope. It is an actual real full name, and I know two people with the name to prove it.

There is a former actress on a US soap who goes by the name Lili et, but her birth name is Elizabeth.

You could argue that Max and Jake are actual names and not just nicknames for Maxwell and Jacob, but when you know that Lilibet was the name the Queen's close family used, it is disingenuous to say that it is an actual name. We saw that the Queen used it at both Prince Philip's and the Queen Mother's funerals.

It is lovely. But you don't use the lovely nickname of your grandmother your slating and whose family you're destroying.

Lilibet is definitely attention-seeking as it was the Queen's childhood nickname, but Lilibert Diana is a pretty combination.

I wish them all the best, but their unsubtlety makes me laugh.

I'm loving Lilibert- they should totally have gone for that!

What do I think? - I think "Congratulations to them'. Sweet name too! and Wishing them all well.

Love love love it. Jeez it's a new baby people not the anti-christ.
Some people on here just live to be offended and find fault in every bloody thing they do.
