Now being reported in the Daily Express that Harry is working on a new tell all documtary about royal life. This is according to his biographer Angela Levin. And even more disclosures about the royal family are forthcoming. Is this going to go on for years. We shall have to wait and sed. I think its very very wrong of him.

What's the matter with 'his poor kids'? I imagine Archie is very loved as will be the baby when she arrives.
Criticise him if you must, but I think it's very wrong to talk about his child as if he's leading an awful life.

Sh05 · 20/05/2021 21:14

I think in regards to the children that the Cambridge kids may well look at Archie and his sister with a little envy when they're all grown up. Depending obviously on the opposite kinds of upbringing they may potentially have

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 20/05/2021 21:20

The C children may well look at the S children with an envy regarding their freedom and lifestyle.

Similarly, the S children may well look at the C children and envy them not having all their innermost family stuff discussed at length on television or podcasts.

Both are in different gilded cages. I think I know which one I’d rather be part of.

Excellent post @ShamedBySiri

Cinclus · 20/05/2021 21:31

AGAIN, @Cinclus* you are confusing a private intimate ceremony with a LEGAL ceremony.

You just don't GET IT. It is a weird obsession the Brits have. It's colonialistic prejudice.*

No, I know the difference between a private intimate ceremony and a legal ceremony. It wasn't me who claimed that one was in fact the other and I "got married" when I didn't, it was Meghan. And because of her - um - inaccuracy, the Archbishop of Canterbury had to publicly deny that he had broken the law. Not sure where the colonialistic prejudice is in stating that fact.

Cinclus · 20/05/2021 21:33

@Gorgeouslilgirl

But the Archbishop isn’t huffing and puffing on this thread, is he?

It is bunch of professionally offended people, looking for slights

I doubt he's on MN but I'm sure he didn't enjoy having to publicly deny he had broken the law.
Cinclus · 20/05/2021 21:36

I also do not understand why everyone is so hung up on this.

I don't know - I thought the thread had moved off the subject of the wedding until coke's thread with all the bold AND CAPS in it.

Itreallyistimetochangethings · 20/05/2021 21:39

@LittleBearPad

It’s not a wholehearted endorsement of remarriage.
The PP question was - she couldn't see in the article where it stated the reason why C&C did not marry in the church citing it was because the CofE would not allow it as they were divorced and why didn't M&H do that - I pointed out the reason why which is stated clearly at the end of the article where it states the reason was because they wanted a low key affair due to the history of their relationship just before the sentence about the queen. They still had a church blessing so obviously the CofE ruling was not their reason. But I'm still not sure what your point is.
Itreallyistimetochangethings · 20/05/2021 21:43

M&H threads do not move on it's continuing circular conversations. When the Apple TV show is aired there will be another three or four - it will probably start while the show is being aired.

Shameful behaviour by the BBC.

CauliflowerCheese30 · 20/05/2021 22:16

It is, but nothing new is it really with them.

THE CAPS AND BOLD WERE A FEAST FOR MY EYES.
  • I’m lame and don’t know how to do bold.😁
Puzzledandpissedoff · 20/05/2021 22:19

TBH I'm surprised there's not more being said on here about Dyson's BBC report

Or am I? Have we really got to the point where the media are so distrusted that it's no longer any surprise at all - even from the state's own broadcaster?

Scoobydoobywho · 20/05/2021 22:21

There must surely come a time when even die hard supporters of H & M say enough now. Stop bitching and complaining and just get on with your life and work, without dragging up perceived mistreatment against you.

Viviennemary · 20/05/2021 22:21

I recorded the programme to watch later. Its absolutely shocking from what we've heard so far. I think Martin Bashir should face prosecution.

Well said William. It must be so painful for him and Harry to have read this

Well that brought a lump to my throat. Well said William

Viviennemary · 20/05/2021 22:43

I agree. Well said William. What a dignified heartfelt speech.

OP posts:
SheldonesqueTheBstard · 20/05/2021 22:46

Aye. Well said William.

That is how a statement should be. Measured. Considered. Factual.

Supersimkin2 · 20/05/2021 22:47

Horrifying. Another nail in the coffin of the BBC.

derxa · 20/05/2021 22:47

I remember watching the Diana interview and cheering her on but now I feel like a fool. Sad RIP Diana

Puzzledandpissedoff · 20/05/2021 22:49

I think Martin Bashir should face prosecution

I'll eat my hat if that happens - he's "a sick man" remember?
And if nobody was prosecuted over the BBC's failings around Savile's appalling crimes, they're not likely to over a dead princess - especially one who the establishment are unlikely to have mourned

Roussette · 20/05/2021 22:53

Here is both their statements, William & Harry. I think we can all say that words from both of them come from the heart.
And personally I think neither of them should be criticised for those words.

There are so many 'what ifs' and 'if onlys'
I would think the contents of the Report have hurt them both deeply.
