Has anyone else seen this on Instagram? It's so lovely and natural. Their PR camp are hitting the right buttons! The Oprah interview now just seems so trashy in comparison!
@RickiTarr ... I think you're agreeing with me??

This is obviously a professional video.

I'm just saying they give us serfs controlled glimpses. Be that through Catherine's camera,so their kids aren't always being asked to lose by some photographer... Or it's carefully controlled and made... As per this video.
Oh. You mean that an anniversary is akin to a wedding? ISWYM.

wonderstuff · 29/04/2021 20:20

Who's he supposed to be seeing? How do people know these things?

Sallyandsam · 29/04/2021 20:21

I thought it was lovely. Obviously staged, but nice to see the DC and the rapport between Wills and Kate looked natural.

RickiTarr · 29/04/2021 20:21
@RickiTarr - I'd love it if I could have softly focussed video montage 🤣
Oh I don’t know. When you look back, it’s the people walking across the shot, falling over, the dodgy haircuts, the squabbles that are fun to watch again. I always photographed “the ordinary” a lot but I wish I had more video footage of the boring daily stuff, like collecting conkers and the wet Sundays at home.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 29/04/2021 20:24

I thought it was gorgeous, made me teary. Clearly I am a marketing teams dream.

SymphonyofShadows · 29/04/2021 20:24

There is nothing appealing about him whatsoever, she doesn’t seem to put a foot wrong though. I wonder if he realises how much he’s punching?

Anystarinthesky · 29/04/2021 20:25

I thought it was lovely.

JanFebAnyMonth · 29/04/2021 20:25

It’s got a slightly melancholic air to it - the mood of the music etc? But yes a bit too much like an ad.

RickiTarr · 29/04/2021 20:26

You are @HollyBollyBooBoo 😂

I’ve decided I would pay actual money to see @00100001 ‘s alternative version of them all playing the slot machines in Skegness. 😁

ajandjjmum · 29/04/2021 20:27

@MaxiPaddy

It might be believable if William wasn't such a cheating bastard.

I don't like either of them, but Kate still deserves better than that utter twat.

According to totally unsubstantiated gossip! I agree with @CallmeHendricks - Kate isn't a good enough actor to fake those looks.

You also can't contrive the joy, laughter and giggles of children, and that was what made it genuine for me.

As for why they did it - yes PR - but gave many of us a little smile and a warm feeling, which can only be a good thing in this world.

Easy enough for those who chose to, just to ignore.

There is all the castles and massive wardrobe budget and the title and the massive sapphire ring..? He looked pretty cute in his RAF uniform a few years ago. Knowing you're always going to have people to do all the boring domestic stuff must be nice.
Teenageromance · 29/04/2021 20:34

I don’t believe he has had affairs either.

RickiTarr · 29/04/2021 20:35

I don’t want to ignore it @ajandjjmum

I want to analyse their PR decisions. It’s fascinating that, as PPs have said, they are literally marketing themselves in the same mould as Boden or Centre Parcs. That’s obviously considered to have broad appeal as well as reflecting a very specific demographic.

I’m also agog that they’ve moved into videography marketing at all.

At least they’re interesting to watch when they perform interesting new PR swerves. I don’t have to be falling for it and dabbing my eyes to enjoy the spin doctoring hoopla. 😁

1forAll74 · 29/04/2021 20:38

I thought it was lovely.a proper happy family. You can't really pose for those kind of shots of genuine happiness.

Crimsonripple · 29/04/2021 20:39

Haha I'm totally a Boden and Centre Parcs demographic. Chuck in Barbour and Landrover also! ...I'm their dream target audience GrinWink

Take the Royal family out of the equation and still she acts with more grace than Meghan.

Meghan went in full JK style and did that interview. If that had been my family, I would have been furious. We ask for threads to be pulled for less.

No wonder you’re so happy with it all. 🙂

Why does it always have to go back to M? The constant need to pit women against each other

Skiptheheartsandflowers · 29/04/2021 20:47

They've got a better measure of their target audience than BoJo, it would seem. I would love it if it was his sneering at John Lewis that led to his downfall. Meanwhile, all royal public approval rates are up, except for a couple..

lollipoprainbow · 29/04/2021 20:48

No I didn't like it, smug and over privileged children no thanks.

Why not celebrate the beautiful 10 year anniversary? Why bring Meghan into the middle of their marriage. If they are genuinely happy, then Meghan is nowhere on their radar today.
doomonic · 29/04/2021 20:48

I’m also agog that they’ve moved into videography marketing at all.

I think lockdown was hard in the sense that they didn't really have the opportunity to do the usual jobs & get the PR & when they did do stuff it felt a bit pointless. H&M have dominated the press so rightly or wrongly they have had to switch the narrative back to full on positive.
If you read the DM at the moment they are in overdrive with the positive stories.

wonderstuff · 29/04/2021 20:48

It looks very much like a center Parcs advert! I'm fascinated by how so many people love this sort of thing when so many people in this country are so poor. No point them trying to be anything other than super privileged, just don't get how people can be okay with that on the one hand and not outraged at government austerity measures.

But my politics are obviously not the same as most people's in the UK.

ssd · 29/04/2021 20:52

Gorgeous family.

RuggeryBuggery · 29/04/2021 20:52

Ah quite sweet, bit cheesy though.
And couldn’t stop thinking that all those woollen jumpers are probably hand wash only.
