Has anyone else seen this on Instagram? It's so lovely and natural. Their PR camp are hitting the right buttons! The Oprah interview now just seems so trashy in comparison!

Exactly. He's not hard working, his entire schtick for his entire adult life has been the "I'm not Charles" hustle. Except he's just like him, even down to the tone deaf environmental posturing whilst living an unsustainable life and the widely rumoured cheating.

If he isn't a respectable family man, what exactly is he bringing to the table to make us keep them? We were only going to keep it past the Queen for the hope that William would better but he's not, it's the same old cheating, same old patronising, same old rubbish new century.

It was very sweet and lovely seeing the DC having fun.

But...I did feel a bit...it's lovely they have all that space and playthings and fire pits for their children..unlike the rest of us stuck inside with our kids during Lockdown!

So I can't decide if it hit the right note or not.

TBH I enjoyed seeing the films of the Queen when she was younger chasing Anne on her tricycle etc, so I see it more as a document of them as a family that is there for the future, as opposed to just being about today. I found it quite charming, just on the right side of cringe

Awww, it's a bit cheese but I think it's lovely Someone said on another, now deleted, thread that Kate always looks genuinely happy and I have to agree, she always just looks really contented, I think it's nice!

What's the craic with these cheating rumours anyway, sounds a bit made up to me?

I loved it because it reminded me of the happy times I spent with my children when they were similar ages.
For me it's nostalgia, it's reminded me of when we did the same with our kids.
The video shows they are just like any other parent, enjoying the laughter and innocence that only children can bring.
Doesn't matter if we're rich or poor.
Nothing beats those early years with our children, life doesn't get better than that.

Someone upthread has it spot on. The lockdown has really shone a light on how useless the royals are . More importantly it stopped the regular photo ops . Hence the relentless PR - I don’t think it’s working though . William and Kate’s PR is always off key. Most people know when they are being manipulated.

This is why I agree with Harry about the gilded cage. The royal family only exists in its current form because we the public accept it hence why good PR is essential. Their existence depends on our grace & favour.

I'm a republican but I think it's a nice video and a nice sentiment about the support they've had.

Also "frolicking about" on empty beaches and toasting marshmallows aren't actually activities confined to the upper classes and are not incompatible with lockdown if you happen to live near the sea. This pleb has done loads of beach-frolicking this year, fwiw.

@Crimsonripple - I suppose that's it not everyone has a garden or anywhere nice to walk. I think Lockdown made that painfully obvious.

On the other hand not sure what would have been better so as I say I'm undecided

It's lovely to celebrate a 10 year wedding anniversary and I really hope William did not cheat on Catherine. They've overcome that if it happened, people aren't perfect.

And you couldnt see the nannys, security people and mountains of tax payers cash they take at all!

The filming was very cheesy, too much like an advert to be believe able, but it’s nice to see them all together

agree, it's awful.

I thought it wasn't a great advert for the film maker, even the Kardashian look more natural - but then some people will jump at the idea of using the same as a royal, so who knows.

Brexit and Covid have proven how much use we have for the royals, and how much they actually do for the country...

I am sure they have been really busy ensuring (most of) the Crown estates and their fortune suddenly become "private" when things change. They are hardly going to pack a suitcase and go to some manor house when they become private citizens, are they

They really are dialling up the Wills/Kate PR aren't they? And Im clearly a sucker as it's totally working on me. I keep finding myself thinking how lovely and wholesome they are, and what a credit to the UK and how it's a total snub to the whining duo.

Gosh, even the Kardashians come across more naturally.

oh come on, this is just staged stuff. I am sure their children are lovely but these people don't live a regular life at all.

Philip was unfaithful to the Queen. Charles was unfaithful to Di and, according to the internet, Wills has been unfaithful to Kate. Why anyone would look up to this lot as role models is beyond me. It’s disappointing to me that British people still want to have a ruling elite to look up to. They are not special or good, just incredibly rich.
