With Prince Philip now gone, the queen not as robust as she once was and grieving her loss, Prince Charles looked distraught today, Harry with a new baby on the way, memories of Diana's funeral today....I wonder if now isn't the perfect time for them to just all get together show their love for each other and clear the air (perhaps without Meghan's presence as she seems to inflame things).

I think it'll be telling how long Harry chooses to stay in the UK before he returns to the US (a clear indication of whether he's willing to hang around for a little while to mend fences or rush back home to Meghan and Oprah and Gail) I really wish the best for them all, family is everything but I'm not holding my breath.

It's such a shame that being anti-racist makes posters targets for so much abuse and bullying here.

Using black people as props is racist. Period. William and Charles' PR stunts in the week following the interview have been very widely decried as racist by the black community.

The idea that both Charles and William just coincidentally had "pose with black people" in their diaries scheduled ahead of time is gullible beyond belief.

I know these things are planned in advance, I remember my husband sorting out policing numbers, where they would be posted etc. It isn't done in a day or two.

By the way my husband is black but it wouldn't stop him telling the truth about how these things are policed.

I think William and Kate are doing a wonderful job. Kate looked so beautiful and dignified. Her manners and general bearing are impeccable.

I hope they are very happy but rather like Megan's dad snookered himself by talking to the press... It's unbelievably hard to trust him now, unfortunately Harry has done the same, with William and Harry apparently unwilling to meet him alone, in case of words being mis represented... And wow.. If they are.. What damage again that could cause!!

I've always felt Charles's is inward looking at times... Self centred. But extremely emotional an sensitive etc.. I really hope he can put Harry first here and be the bigger person and move on... After all he's in several green houses... Embarrassing interviews, leaks... Diana fiasco... Etc... Life is too short.

Yet only two pages back you made a post that was very inflammatory about the RF and included an offensive and derogatory comment about a black woman. It has now been deleted.

I would suggest looking a bit closer to home as to who is lashing out.

You didn't mention his son Archie. He has to go back to him. You didn't mention his job, he had to go back to that as well. How much time off do you get from your employer when there is s bereavement in your family? He hasn't the luxury like the rest of the royals who still get access to our money regardless of how much they do. He has a job to get back to unlike the others.

This is pure speculation (aside from Harry saying they're on different paths) but I would have thought they'd reconcile to a certain extent and discord will burn out, but they each have their own family now and very contrasting lifestyles.

So close in a certain way, but things change, new bonds become more important.

It was an official event to which press were invited, they didn't accost him during the school run or coming out of Waitrose.

It's a fairly safe bet if, immediately after you're publicly accused of racism, you schedule an official event at a majority-black school, and you just happen to stroll with a black woman past the very area where the invited press have been asked to wait, that it's a PR stunt.

William doesn't do a huge amount of engagements in the first place and his engagements during lockdown have mainly been over Zoom, or big things like the Royal Train tour and the West End panto. He's not exactly popping into random places in South London on a regular basis, is he?

Both William and Charles posed with black people immediately after the Oprah interview. Their PR is hardly subtle.

Let's hope their new crisis managers can get them to tone it down a bit.

Of course, the only other alternative is that Charles and William knew there was a good chance the racism would be raised in the interview, and that's why they both organised to be photographed with black people immediately afterwards.
