Anyone think they are going to call the baby Diana? I think they possibly could... The Americans would love it.... Palace not so much... Win win...

Didi Theodora Verity
Theodora Diani (Didi) Verity

Meghan is welsh for Margaret I believe so maybe
Margaret (Margo/Maggie) Diana Verity

I am not sure that they would give Diana as a middle name as it would look like they were copying W and C .

FuckyouBrennan · 13/03/2021 08:56

Harriet Diana

I really really can't see them calling her Margaret or Harriet. This is a couple who are selling their image in the United States and they are not trying to be part of the Royal Family any more---that's the whole point of what they are doing. It won't be a Royal Family name and it won't be a very British sounding name like Harriet either. It'll be something that takes American tastes into account.

I'm veering towards Daisy now...

Oprah

MammabearX1 · 15/03/2021 15:18

It won't be Grace, Pippa Matthews (Middleton) has just had a little girl called Grace Elizabeth Jane...

Meghan is not Welsh for anything.

Megan is a Welsh name in its own right.

@LondonJax

I wouldn't be surprised. They decided to keep the link going by announcing the pregnancy on 13th February - exactly the same day as Diana's pregnancy with Harry was announced.

Except that Harry was born in September so it was a two month pregnancy announcement. Meghan is, what, five months pregnant by the looks of the bump? So she's been hidden away for three months to allow the 'reveal' on the same day as Diana did it? Very twee.

When she was pregnant with Archie (a first pregnancy where more can go wrong) she announced it at Eugenie's wedding, so only two months pregnant. This time around it's held back to fit the contrived link to Diana.

So calling the baby Diana would definitely fit in with the way their minds work.

That is a myth that was debunked, they did not announce it at Eugenie's wedding; Eugenie, Jack, the Queen, Phillip, the Cambridges all were told well before the wedding.

Perhaps Di Ora after Diana and Doria

Cokie3 · 15/03/2021 20:06

@Wannabangbang

Men can still be controlled.
Oh yes, the evil manipulative woman and the poor, controlled man.....

How so very sexist and misogynistic of you.

Cokie3 · 15/03/2021 20:14

@Wondermule

The cynic in me also wonders if she delayed the announcement so she could announce it just after Eugenie had given birth...
Christ Almighty! ConfusedConfused

@BilboBercow

Has anyone though that they've held off for 5 months on this occasion because it's a fairly common thing to do after a miscarriage?
No, that is way too simplistic for the haters. It just won't do. They NEED to find some sort of conspiracy with everything Meghan does. Her haters are like QAnon or something. ConfusedHmm
Cokie3 · 15/03/2021 20:23

@What a charmer you are @percheron67 .

Cokie3 · 15/03/2021 20:25

Daria. (Diana/Doria)

Or Margaret Diane. They could go the Diane route instead of Diana, to differentiate from Charlotte's middle name.

JanewaysBun · 15/03/2021 20:26

Hmm I don't think they would lumber someone with all that emotional baggage.

I think something American and current. So Paisley? Paisley Frances is my guess!

Mucklemore · 15/03/2021 20:51

I love Diana Doria or Dido.

Think Diana feels like big footsteps tho and I think both of them will be mindful of that. More likely to be a second name.

Number3BigCupOfTea · 15/03/2021 20:55

I think they'll go for Diana on the birth cert and use Didi or some other cuter nick name for Diana

CaffeineAndCrochet · 15/03/2021 21:01

I think they announced the first pregnancy when they did because they were about to go on the Australia tour. With all the logistics that would have gone into that, there's no way it would have been kept secret. They were also about to be photographed multiple times per day.

Malteser71 · 15/03/2021 21:05

Dido reminds me of Dodi

MrsFin · 15/03/2021 21:14

I reckon something like Madison or Mackenzie

Number3BigCupOfTea · 16/03/2021 10:09

I don't think it will be anything like Madison or Taylor. She grew up with girls with sur names for names, so that trend is tired now, i predict she will not like that very ordinary blue collar vibe. Rosa is classy and Americans will like that statement.

Didi Rosa Harriet

RootyT00t · 16/03/2021 10:33

There is zero chance the royal family will allow anything that sounds like Dodi.

RootyT00t · 16/03/2021 10:34

@Cokie3 no, pointing out men can be controlled is not misognystic.
