Do you think Oprah didn't ask the right questions.

Lots of subjects were spoken about but I felt that Oprah could have asked for further information.

What questions do you think she should of asked.

My question is to Harry 'why didn't you get Meghan help with her MH if you are a loving husband'

@flossiegrippiter

I wish Louis Theroux had done the interview!
@flossiegrippiter My DH and I were saying how much we wished it had been Emily Maitlis...

@Blueberries0112

I actually think Harry would make a good King. — I have my reasons

(Don’t argue with me, I already know what everyone is going to say)

That's it we all know your real identity now 😂😂😂😂
Coronateachingagain · 18/03/2021 22:29

@Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum 😂😂😂😂

CallmeHendricks · 18/03/2021 22:30

I think Harry is too petulant and immature to make a good king.
They both clearly think that they were better at the job than the existing members, as evidenced by Harry implying that people (by which I presume he meant Charles) were jealous of their success in Australia (as he was reported as having been by Diana on their tour in 1983). The arrogance demonstrated in that section of the interview appalled me.

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 18/03/2021 22:38

Maybe that is the master plan. Destroy Charles and William. Whilst selling to the general public that they would be the perfect king and queen of England. Then the public will insist on voting them in as monarchs

I know that is completely bollocks but if you believe they genuinely don't understand how titles work. Then you would have to believe they think this is possible 😉

H & M come across as having a 'if we can't have it no one can' agenda.

👍 the Meghan Mumsnet police are too quick. Really scary actually how threads get deleted. They must have a bog searching all the time and someone allocated to shut down what comes, like a video game! 😅😅😅
StormzyinaTCup · 18/03/2021 23:50

Yes, it’s like wac-a-mole Grin

Do you think Oprah didn't ask the right questions.

Truelymadlydeeplysomeonesmum · 19/03/2021 01:00

To be fair that one just looked like a wind up

Furries · 19/03/2021 02:51

Hopefully, in the next few days, we’ll see something in the media where H&M gently castigate GK for her comments in the media. As they’ve made it perfectly clear that they don’t like untruths being put out there.

Obviously, that won’t happen. Which then shows them up even more.

BasiliskStare · 19/03/2021 03:16

Ah - I have said there were gaps in their story which I think you could have driven a bus through. But 1) I suspect the UK was not their target audience so whatever anyone says here is a sideshow according to them 2) I do think they have a shelf life of being Royal & the hard yards are going to come when they actually have to deliver interesting programmes people want to watch & they know this and 3) I do wish them well but I think certainly for Harry this is like swimming in a shark pit rather than patting a dolphin. But good luck to them. I just wish they would not throw out unsubstantiated allegations. Not helpful in UK & I think Harry at least should have wiser head on.

Parkerwhereareyou · 19/03/2021 05:12

Oprah hasn't come well out of this, but the interview was very much cut down, and as it was billed as being totally the M and H experience of things, there was zero option for any question to be asked or answered in a way that would make them look bad.

They did anyhow manage to look pretty bad, I felt ...

the80sweregreat · 19/03/2021 06:39

It's a good job that the Queen and Kate didn't give birth to twins! Who would get the top job then?

Foxhasbigsocks · 19/03/2021 06:41

@the80sweregreat the first born! It would be just the same criterion but would make the lottery of heredity even clearer

My cousin is a mega royalist & has said that they want to destroy the monarchy. She’s always had a soft spot for Harry since walking behind his mother’s coffin. She’s no longer a fan after this interview.
twinklystar23 · 19/03/2021 07:18

Not sure how if this could be resolved as M&H have since reported that their most recent conversation was unproductive. If I were one of the royals I would have no trust that anything I said would be relayed back either now, or if they divorced at a later date. I hate these vague accusations of racism, whether they are ultimately true or not, they undermine racism being taken seriously. I appreciate that any racism, sexism etc can be subtle but a comment t like this should have been dealt with at the time, with the person who made the comment. Not broadcast to the whole world bringing a number of your family who you claim to love under the spotlight. Personally I think the damage is irreparable, and will leave the racism unresolved imo.

PetuniaButterworth · 19/03/2021 08:03

Has anyone suggested that Judge Judy would have been a better interviewer? Soley based on what her reaction would have been to poor Harry complaining he'd been financially cut off at at 35.

MrsFin · 19/03/2021 08:24

@the80sweregreat

It would still be the first born. Even if it's just a matter of seconds.

I reckon they would be very careful there babies didn't come out at the same time, say in a Caesarian.

GoLightlyontheEarth · 19/03/2021 08:31

Gosh, that’s a thought! I had never considered that. One day there will be a situation where this happens.

Totally agree, and the way Meghan talked about Kate and the petty argument about bridesmaids was nothing short of bitchy. Really, truly nasty stuff which makes me totally believe allegations of bullying against her.

Yep, because if they can't be top dog than no one can. Funny how they still cling to the titles and whinge Archie didn't get more.

RedGoldAndGreene · 19/03/2021 10:13

You'd think that Harry understood primogeniture. I don't doubt that it must be weird having a sibling who is considered more important than you but there are people in the family like Zara who seem perfectly happy having no titles and Edward seems happy to use Viscount and Lady for his kids. Why did they reject Earl for Archie?

ginghamstarfish · 19/03/2021 10:18

As it was not the normal kind of interview, but rather a PR exercise, it is quite clear she would only be able to ask the questions the interviewees had pre-prepared and instructed her to ask. Why should she complain given the millions it was certain to rake in?.
