Harry & Meghan - to hope the Royals answer back?

I think the allegations in the Oprah interview are serious enough that protocol should be breached and the Royals should have a voice to give their side too.

I don't blame Meghan - they are both responsible - perhaps Harry more so as he is familiar with whet life is like and should have made sure Meghan knew exactly what she would be getting into - there's a reason that Chelsey and Cressida walked away
But in life you have to be realistic - they say now their life is "authentjc" - they could have raised so much awareness and done so much in the Commonwealth

I am not saying it's easy - far from it - and that's a huge understatement obviously - but how much chance did they really give it ? They have met, married and had a son within a relatively short period - I am sure there were other options for them -other opportunities to carry out the RF work without leaving completely

That's not many - I imagine they will be pretty disappointed with 17M. On the lunchtime news it said figures weren't out yet but they were thinking it could be 100M.

100m is super bowl/ champions league finals/ royal wedding type numbers. I doubt any respectable person predicted that, considering that Oprah’s interview of MJ at Neverland Ranch drew 50m at a time prime time TV reigned supreme.

17m is very decent - I’m sure they’ll be pleased with that if coverage is what they were after.

Perhaps as he is so disappointed with his father maybe it was him or more likely camilla and he didn't stand up to her. Oprah said they want to make it clear it was not the Duke or Queen but u would assume it was Philip with all his remarks over the years

What has that got to do with anything? However she views herself race wise is her business.

Probably the same reason Obama and many other mixed race people consider themselves black.

On the security matter it’s quite normal for a line to be drawn.

For example the prime minister has security as does his homes but his partner and children do not (unless a specific and believable threat is made). The family benefit from the general security of the home and security when they are with Boris but don’t have dedicated protection officers.

The same would apply here. Archie would be protected on royal estates, while with family, if he accompanied a senior royal to an event, if a threat was made, etc. But there would be no protection officer hanging out at school with him.

I cannot understand these comments I hear them in the black community too. Are you blind? Megan straightens her hair so it’s that texture because of hair tongs! She has dark hair and eyes... she does not look white by any means...

Even Archie he’s pale obviously like most babies with a white dad and a mixed race mum but the baby does have black features.

Can you not see Megan’s skin colour? I don’t see many white people with her skin tone do you?

Added to this it's reasonable to assume a baby is never far from their parents.

His nanny would likely be one trained in security as well.

Any school or nursery he attends would also be security vetted.

I really think she just didn't understand what being royal meant and that it isn't just like being famous.

@00100001 you need to educate yourself a bit more culturally then Blush. Have a look through her photos not just one.

The baby has a black nose. Maybe your too hung up on the fact that she isn’t the darkest but she most definitely cannot pass for white..... I don’t think they would be all this fuss if she could for a start let’s be real!
