Is that a DM story, is there another source than that?

I imagine if this is the case, it will be something that's addressed when they have their 'review'.

Chatnotnet · 27/09/2020 08:30

@Viviennemary

Senior palace aides are saying Harry and Meghan violated their agreement with the Queen by speaking out on the US election.
Well there's a surprise! Shock horror they've broken their agreement. Its obvious that MM doesn't care about family loyalty but PH should care.

It’s been widely reported in all different types of media about the agreement upholding the values of HMQ. A quick google brings up pages of links to a variety of sources.
Roussette · 27/09/2020 08:50

Plenty of American news sources, yes, agree. And just the DM over here as far as I can see.

There is a source called newsnow.co.uk which seems to only report stuff about the RF

I don’t know why I bother but here is a screenshot of the statement from the palace. Although perhaps in your eyes Buckingham Palace also isn’t a reliable source. 🤷🏻‍♀️

No need to get arsey. I googled. I couldn't find it. I went to end of page2 of search. No need to bother if you don't want to. But thanks for the screenshot.

Roussette · 27/09/2020 09:00

Strange. I googled 'harry and meghan violated their agreement'
Didn't come up. Only DM and US sources.

Although this is just fact isn't it
“The Duke is not a working member of the Royal Family and any comments he makes are made in a personal capacity.”

GetOffYourHighHorse · 27/09/2020 09:06

'While using their titles and royal status to give them a voice.'

This is what it all boils down to isn't it. They don't want to do the boring royal stuff and be way down the pecking order after Charles and William but they want to exploit the recognition that the RF gives them.

Once again seeming to go against all the crap they spout.

If only they would demonstrate even a teeny bit of integrity and self awareness, instead they are laughing stocks.

Viviennemary · 27/09/2020 09:10

Nobody would be giving them the time of day if they weren't royal. They are trading on it to have influence politically and to make themselves a personal fortune. It's disgraceful. All take take take with them. I hope they are stripped of their titles and Harry loses his place in the succession. It's the only answer.

AnneOfQueenSables · 27/09/2020 09:17

I wonder if as they film for AGT or their voting video or publicise their Netflix deal or take their photographer to the kindergarten or the school charity drive, if they ever pause to think 'when we said we wanted a quiet life away from the cameras, this probably wasn't what people expected' .
I wish they had genuinely stepped back from all the publicity. I think a few years having time to themselves, working behind the scenes would have been beneficial for them. Plus all their supporters who naively believed someone moves to LA to escape the spotlight must feel a little nonplussed, even though they won't admit it.

You’re obviously not looking properly - it’s in The Times FGS 🙄

i find this post patronising and telling people how they can post.
rousette had many such responses which were annoying and putting people off to comment.
and some times she tries to be seem friendly and chilled.

bluebell34567 · 27/09/2020 09:38

and MM defenders always use the term so what? when they are stuck.

Thanks for that. Yes obviously.
I explained above my search parameters. They were obviously wrong and I didn't search hard enough Hmm No need for the FGS.

Thanks bluebell Smile

"The Duke is not a working member of the Royal Family and any comments he makes are made in a personal capacity"

It seems hypocritocal to be told The Duke is speaking in a personal capacity. Why not be Harry, then? Or just Haitch?

Theyre quite happy to use Royal links when it suits them, while doing nothing for the country they are Duke and Dutchess of. Not appropriate, at all.

Ninjava · 27/09/2020 10:07

I think some of us are sick of the implication that it’s only the DM and other ‘rags’ that report anything critical of H&M. This political intervention in the US election has sparked critical comments in the Guardian and the BBC news website (as well as the Times) and they usually are very positive about them. The ‘violated’ quote appears to have come direct from the royal household - it’ll be interesting to see what they actually do about it as it’s quite clear from the very brief statement issued that they are well pissed off a with these latest antics!

Royalinsider · 27/09/2020 10:11

Written with a laughing face symbol after clearly showing it was a joke.

bluebell34567 · 27/09/2020 10:14

bluebell34567 · 27/09/2020 10:15

Royalinsider · 27/09/2020 11:26

It very clearly was a joke, Jesus.
Luckily, Derxa is intelligent and has a sense of humour!

bluebell34567 · 27/09/2020 11:28

why you say Jesus? is it so strange what i posted?
it is patronising.

bluebell34567 · 27/09/2020 11:29
