Daily Mail reports they have privately married at Windsor Castle.

Lovely news if true.

I hope they have a lifetime of love and happiness.

It hasn't been officially confirmed yet, but I also hope we get some photos! So far only tabloids are reporting it.

Grandmi · 17/07/2020 13:03

Lovely news now confirmed by BBC. Private ceremony definitely the best move for obvious reasons. WishIng them lots of happiness .

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 17/07/2020 13:03

It’s official. Buckingham Palace confirmation.

We had a feeling this morning as large parts of Windsor Great Park are closed.

ArriettyJones · 17/07/2020 13:04

@qnc01

I wonder if they wanted to get cracking with starting a family.
Is that a euphemism?
TheNavigator · 17/07/2020 13:04

I wonder if her fiancee's child was at the wedding?

The Telegraph has been running it for the past half hour and nobody would publish so definitely without a copper bottomed source.
YgritteSnow · 17/07/2020 13:05

This is so lovely. A couple who just wanted to be married and didn't care about the fanfare Smile

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 17/07/2020 13:06

TheNavigator I’m sure he was. I believe he lives full time with Edo.

Seems mean to say it, but having a small wedding down to Covid is very sensible,,saves all the embarrassment of her dear daddy, especially with Ghislaine being in the news last week. Plus the money pit that was her sisters wedding wouldn't have gone down well when people are worried about jobs.

Good luck to them, I think they have probably seen the writing on the wall as far as being members of the RF gravy train , it's pretty clear that uncle Charles is not going to let hangers on be seen as deadweight. They have had a good run with grace and favour accommodation but that should be t now.

Pemba · 17/07/2020 13:07

Buttery I know she can't help being PA's daughter. I'm saying that why it must be hard for her, in spite of her privilege. A very pragmatic decision about the wedding . Let's hope she can get some happiness.

Rebecca English reporting it and she us usually reliable . Lovely if true ; I would like Bea to have a happy ending .
Happy ending from what? She's not exactly had a hard, miserable life has she?

Really ? Her parents have been ( at best ) embarrassing, her looks, clothes etc have been publicly criticised , her boyfriend of 10 years couldn’t/ wouldn’t commit then promptly married someone else .
Yet she has smiled and never complained .
Can you not be happy for her ?
Oh and let’s hope no one tries to overshadow the day !

Goldengroveunleaving · 17/07/2020 13:11

Great news. It seems as if their plans have been messed around so much until now through no fault of their own. Congratulations Beatrice and Edo! Let's have some pictures!

Goldengroveunleaving · 17/07/2020 13:11

Definitely true, BBC News are reporting it.

TheNavigator · 17/07/2020 13:12

TheNavigator I’m sure he was. I believe he lives full time with Edo.
Does he? That is unusual - do you know why he doesn't live with his mother?
Puzzledandpissedoff · 17/07/2020 13:12

It's the ideal way for Andrew to attend his daughter's wedding. It also deflects any criticism around televising it and lots of taxpayer cost for security etc

Quite. As I said, under the circumstances a big public "do" would have been difficult, and Covid gives him an excuse to say this, too, wasn't his fault

Nice to hear it's been confirmed now ...

MissEliza · 17/07/2020 13:14

It's lovely news for her. It's not her fault that her father is a ..... I'm trying to think of a word to sum him up.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 17/07/2020 13:14

That's a classy move, well done Beatrice and Edo.

InfiniteSheldon · 17/07/2020 13:15

I hope this is true and I hope he's as nice as she is.

Viviennemary · 17/07/2020 13:17

It's good to see that Beatrice is more concerned with actually getting married than all the pomp and ceremony.

TheNavigator · 17/07/2020 13:17

@InfiniteSheldon

I hope this is true and I hope he's as nice as she is.
How do you know she is nice - do you know her?
alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 17/07/2020 13:17

TheNavigator

From an old people article

As Ms Huang works half of her time in London and half in Hong Kong, Edo, who shares joint custody of Christopher, lives with their son while she is in Asia.

Apologies I thought I had read full time but not quite...

I hope they release some pix.

Nice to have a brief diversion with a happy story in the news.

Beeb confirming it, saying HMQ and Prince Phillip and close family there, and all in accordance with current Covid regulations

(rather like lots of 2020 weddings, but a bit grander)

Dita73 · 17/07/2020 13:22

Reception is in Pizza Express in Woking. Andrew hasn’t been for ages apparently

Overindulged entitled pervert? Sorry that's three words,
