Daily Mail reports they have privately married at Windsor Castle.

Lovely news if true.

I hope they have a lifetime of love and happiness.

Lovely, wish them all the best. The fact that she wore a vintage dress from granny's cupboard and the Queen lent her the tiara she wore on her own wedding day says a lot about how much HM thinks of her. Glad to see how supportive she is especially given the PA mess ( no sympathy for him), which must have been very hard for B&E. you can't choose your parents...

Goldengroveunleaving · 19/07/2020 11:16

Peter Phillips I think Smile

Goldengroveunleaving · 19/07/2020 11:17

I mean I think that's who SunbathingDragon meant

bluebell34567 · 19/07/2020 11:25

agree ssd.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 19/07/2020 11:29

Gorgeous dress, and IMO it says a lot about HM's relationship with Beatrice that she'd lend it, and even the tiara she wore on her own wedding day

Even the weather cooperated - a lovely-looking occasion all round

SunbathingDragon · 19/07/2020 11:48

Yes, I meant Peter Philips! 🤦🏻‍♀️

TurquoiseDress · 19/07/2020 11:53

The day looked lovely judging by the 2 photos released, good on them for going ahead with the wedding despite restrictions, they must have simply just wanted to get on with it and be married.

Maybe they are keen to start a family straight away, who knows, I guess it wouldn't be the done thing to have a baby outside of marriage in the RF! Although perfectly acceptable for the rest of us Grin

If they had waited till next year to do it, then that would be ok too.

If that's both what they wanted, then that's great. It was fantastic that her grandparents the Queen (94 yrs) and Prince Phillip (99 yrs) were both able to be there!

We have a couple of friends who were due to be married this spring/summer and both couples have decided to re-book for 2021, with same venue and almost same date.

I wonder whether they wanted to get married sooner rather than later and whilst HMQ and PP were in good enough health to attend, which combined with Andrew being out of the public eye this way, probably made now ideal. As much as I’d like to think normality can be rearranged for next year, there is no guarantee of that.
SleepingStandingUp · 19/07/2020 12:18

Have to say if I wanted my granny and grandpa agreed 94 and 99 at my wedding, I'd def hurry up.
Or else there's gonna be a, baby Prince or Princess in about 32 weeks time..

Roussette · 19/07/2020 12:30

But Beatrice is only 31, there is no desperate hurry for babies is there? Agree on having it now though, it worked out well.

Viviennemary · 19/07/2020 12:40

I read the Queen is going to Balmoral for a long summer break. Then there is talk of a CV spike in the winter., I think it was a good time to have the wedding or else it might mean waiting till next year and who knows what might happen. And anyway Beatrice has had to wait long enough.

what her father did or didn't do-

There isn’t any doubt about what her father did!

On the radio this morning, it was said PA didn’t walk her down the aisle. Anyone else hear that?

Blackbear19 · 19/07/2020 13:12

Roussette 31 isn't that old, but anyone can run into problems TTC.
Also if your DGPs are 94 and 99 if you want them their you'd better not hang about too long.

Roussette · 19/07/2020 13:16

Yes... I was an older mother so I know. I imagine it was many contributing factors that made them decide to carry on with a wedding now...
The ages of the GPs, who knows where it's going to go with Andrew, the unknown quantity that Covid is etc.

No I did not hear that and would be very surprised if he didn't unless there was some non-self-isolating issue. She, her father and her sister (and their mother), are very close.

There certainly is doubt about what her father did but why spoil a good thread about a young woman's lovely wedding by muck raking?

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 19/07/2020 13:19

I don’t know if this has already been mentioned but I think Edo’s ex seems very classy. She must have known the wedding was happening but didn’t run to the papers and when Bea and Edo got engaged she congratulated them.

I don't wish to defend Andrew's conduct AT ALL but I would point out that he has not been convicted of anything and that comments have been deleted on here for far less obvious speculation about actions that may end up in court. I'm sure no one would want to post anything that would be deemed later to affect any trial on these matters.

I'd imagine any report on this may have said they don't know if PA walked his daughter down the aisle. I would be very surprised however if he did not.

I also think Beatrice would know her grandmother would strongly prefer any pregnancy to happen after marriage and would want to respect that since they clearly have an excellent relationship. So now the wedding has taken place there's no need to worry about that, whether or not they are actually planning to start a family quickly.

ButteryPuffin · 19/07/2020 13:31

@alliwantisagoodnightssleep I agree about Edo's former partner. If Wolfie's parents and his new stepmother all have a cordial relationship and interact maturely, that will be great for him and also for any children Beatrice and Edo go on to have.

Oldbutstillgotit · 19/07/2020 13:43

More photos published ! Sorry can’t get link to work .

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 19/07/2020 13:47

Edo is wearing a wedding ring. Lovely lovely pictures. The way he is smiling at her makes the old woman’s romantic heart happy.

Just a thought am I the only person who is surprised that HMQ keeps her dresses?
I don't know what I thought she did with them but I'm slightly surprised that Bea managed to dig out a dress that was last worn in 1967 so 53 years old.

How big must the Queens wardrobe beGrin

ButteryPuffin · 19/07/2020 13:54

I can't find them online. Edo seems to have put some on his Insta then deleted them, but they've been tweeted by @TheRoyalExpert. Lovely shots of the couple in a garden setting.

Yes, that why I immediately thought but couldn’t pinpoint which Disney princess it was. Ariel of course!

Kiwiz · 19/07/2020 14:22

She looked amazing. Definitely my favourite royal bride look. The dress seemed perfect for her and like she wore it rather than it wearing her, which is a problem I encountered when trying on many for my own wedding.

Seemed like a great way to do a royal wedding, I hope they all follow suit in the future.
