Daily Mail reports they have privately married at Windsor Castle.

Lovely news if true.

I hope they have a lifetime of love and happiness.

I'm not wild about the sleeves, but can see why she'd want more shoulder covering than just the narrow straps when it is to be worn in church.

ssd · 19/07/2020 09:31

I think the dress and tiara are stunning. They make a beautiful couple.

Stellakent · 19/07/2020 09:33

Chloedecker if that's true about the designers it's unbearably sad. I'm glad it's all worked out well for her.

Blossom0120 · 19/07/2020 09:33

I love the picture of the Queen and PP looking at them so fondly. It's a beautiful photo.

Who knows if this is the kind of wedding they truly wanted or not, this could be said for many couples marrying at the moment. But they certainly can't be criticised for doing the right thing under the current circumstances.

Blackbear19 · 19/07/2020 09:46

That is so sad if no designers wanted to work with her.
Although I find it hard to believe, they'd always be someone happy to get paid for their work and get some free advertising thrown in.

Someone must have worked with her to redesign the sleeves.

MyPersona · 19/07/2020 10:01

I don’t believe the thing about the designers for one minute. Stuart Parvin worked on this dress so there’s one for a start. Spiteful gossip imo.

I love the idea, and the dress is lovely. I think they could have found a better solution with the sleeves personally, maybe brought the straps wider apart. But maybe the fact that it’s clear where the alterations have been done was part of the plan. She looks gorgeous anyway.

Viviennemary · 19/07/2020 10:04

I think its a disgrace if designers refused to work with Beatrice because of Andrew. They should be named and shamed. How is it in any way Beatrice's fault what her father did or didn't do.

Parker231 · 19/07/2020 10:06

Designers will work with anyone who is prepared to pay their invoice. They are a commercial business like any other. Yet another weird rumour with no basis for truth.

KatherineParr4 · 19/07/2020 10:09

The couple got it just right. Wishing them many years of happiness. Both sisters seem like lovely, unpretentious people.

Myimaginarycathadfleas · 19/07/2020 10:10

I don't believe designers were reluctant to work with her, unless there was any doubt about being paid for their work. A royal wedding commission is a tremendous coup and the profile it gives the designer can't be bought.

Beatrice was reportedly determined to have her grandparents at her wedding, and so she and Edoardo sacrificed a big do later on for one which they could attend. In lending such a special gown and the Fringe Tiara I think HMQ showed her appreciation of them doing so.

(I'm not sure the sleeves and the extended length were entirely successful but she still looked very beautiful in it.)

To me it had the look of a small country wedding, few in the church but probably more of their friends attending the outdoor celebrations afterwards. Many people would choose a wedding like that over a big affair.

Oldbutstillgotit · 19/07/2020 10:11

Shocking if that’s true about the designers however I really can’t believe that.
I don’t think Bea ever wanted the big day especially after the criticism of the cost of Eugenie’s wedding.
Both girls had to move their wedding dates because of other people/ circumstances but everything has worked out and they look blissfully happy with their husbands which is what counts.

ButteryPuffin · 19/07/2020 10:17

Love the dress. It really suits her and kudos to Angela Kelly and Stewart Parvin for altering it in such a narrow window!
Even if it wasn't her original choice, going vintage is very clever, as well as meaningful and memorable. Love the flower arch too. And the tiara is stunning. Glad Beatrice got the best one Smile

Apparently they had a bouncy castle. Can't shake the image of HMQ and PP joining in Grin

Bet Fergie really goes for it on a bouncy castle Grin

🤣🤣🤣 that really made me laugh!

catinb0oots · 19/07/2020 11:00

I'm a bit sad that this is the last royal wedding we're going to see for a while. Next one would possibly be Lady Louise??

Goldengroveunleaving · 19/07/2020 11:00

YY to Fergie! 😂😂😂 Unfortunate reminder of It's a Royal Knockout!

SunbathingDragon · 19/07/2020 11:00

I wonder how they’ve stopped Fergie from tweeting non-stop like she did around Eugenie’s wedding?

For all her faults, and despite her divorce, Fergie has been very much part of the RF for decades and knows full well what to do and what not to do. I imagine Eugenie choosing to have a publicly televised wedding and Beatrice having a very private affair will also have a huge bearing on it.

Possibly Philip might remarry but otherwise yes, likely to be Louise or her brother next (assuming they marry). Then again, George or Charlotte could marry young.
Goldengroveunleaving · 19/07/2020 11:07

Possibly Philip might remarry

Nah,I think he'll probably stick with HM now Grin

(Sorry, couldn't resist, I know who you meant!!)

ButteryPuffin · 19/07/2020 11:13

I didn't! (Though knew Philip was a typo Grin) Who did you mean?

Beatrice has knocked this out of the park. Pleased to see so much positivity about it on social media.

bluebell34567 · 19/07/2020 11:14

i think PP looked very good for his age and its very lucky PB could have him at her wedding.

ssd · 19/07/2020 11:14

The fact both girls have turned out so well shows what a good mum fergie must be. I don't think Andrew can take any credit.

Blackbear19 · 19/07/2020 11:15

I think Lady Louise will be a quiet family affair. Of her 6 cousins who've married, 3 have had big public occasions (William, Harry and Eugenie) 3 quiet (Peter, Zara and Bea)

William clearly no choice state occasion, Harry little choice but controversial marrying divorcee and stepping down as senior royal, Eugenie very controversial over the cost for a minor royal.

I think the precedence is set that only the children of the reigning Monarch will have big weddings. I could be wrong but I suspect PC will become Prince Regent in the next year or two. When the Queen turns 95 retiring at same age as PP and when they are able to have big gatherings of people.
