Excuse the duplicate.

Peaseblossom22 · 23/06/2020 19:35

Kate is actually younger than Meghan

Roussette · 23/06/2020 19:38

They really should behave in a more adult manner

Blimey.

Roussette And i are being slagged of on another forum, strange that. And suddenly people start picking a fight here

I presume you mean PLMN. Doesn't surprise me one little bit! Rather childish.

Buttery
It depends what age you are as to what you think middle aged is. A child thinks 25 is old. An old person thinks 30 is young.

On this you said... "(Noting down that 'you're splitting hairs, it's tiresome' and 'some people think this, who cares' are acceptable ways to disagree over views of the Sussexes.. ."

Not sure what you're saying. My opinion of age/middle age etc is nothing to do with disagreeing over views of the Sussexes. It was about age. As you well know.
I felt views on when middle age was was splitting hairs. Nothing else came into it.

Sousone · 23/06/2020 19:55

i had a chat with a cute robin earlier

Did you disagree with his tweets?

bluebell34567 · 23/06/2020 19:55

EVERYONE TO ADMIT THAT MEGHAN GLOWS FROM WITHIN JUST LIKE DIANA DID Grin

ButteryPuffin · 23/06/2020 19:58

I have a much longer response but it'll be criticised for taking the thread off topic! So here's my attempt at the one sentence version. If it's fine to state 'oh well, people will have different opinions on this', let's see that also applied to opinions about Meghan and Harry (provided of course they don't break talk guidelines, in which case report them) instead of telling people they're wrong, try walking in their shoes etc, as we've had today on the thread.

I'm also not aware of any discussions of posters here on other threads. That doesn't guarantee anything of course. But maybe people just disagree with you and are saying so?

candilemon · 23/06/2020 20:00

Glowing? Like DIANA? Not at all. Diana was an exception.

Roussette · 23/06/2020 20:02

I'm a big tweeter... and I've just read a tweet on there that H&M are reported to be spending 6 weeks in UK from mid July.

(Disclaimer... I have no idea how true this is before I get jumped on for daring to open my mouth on the subject, it might well be a load of BS)

Sittingontheveranda · 23/06/2020 20:05

I’ve noticed a few posters don’t seem so happy that this thread is more balanced now instead of the usual sounding off negativity about MM and H.
I wonder why.

Sousone · 23/06/2020 20:07

Will the UK allow flights in from the US though?

Sousone · 23/06/2020 20:10

It is strange that posters feel the need to ‘balance’ things.

There’s a positive thread, why can’t there be a negative thread?

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 23/06/2020 20:13

Am I being really stupid. What is this secret message board people are referring to?

Samcro · 23/06/2020 20:13

Its sad, i liked this thread as it seemed to at last gone somewhere in the middle.
There have been some interesting stuff said.
Yet once again it seems people want it one way.

Samcro · 23/06/2020 20:15

@Sousone

i had a chat with a cute robin earlier

Did you disagree with his tweets?

Thats funny, sadly he just looked all side eye at me.
ButteryPuffin · 23/06/2020 20:17

Actually, I think it's been the more pro Sussex posters who seem less happy today. Generally when it's been noted (with examples) that they haven't necessarily been treated differently and worse than other Royals. Go figure.

Rousette since you mention, I've seen rumours of Harry arriving back in the UK, though similarly without anything to substantiate it further. It has been said that could be related to his visa (status uncertain) being almost up and he needs to leave, perhaps temporarily. But that might be a reason for them to decide they might as well all travel and spend the time together.

Roussette · 23/06/2020 20:20

Oh and... whilst I'm on the subject of Twitter, there are plenty like this...

"Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have never met Lady Colin Campbell, yet she has written a book about them. Here is LCC speaking about sex with 14 year olds defending Prince Andrew"

This was of course in the context of her sticking up for PA in an interview.

But that's the flavour of it all.... literally countless people saying 'she's never even met H&M'.

So some of us on here are not way out of line on that one.

HarryDaylight · 23/06/2020 20:20

Roussette
I presume you mean PLMN

What do you mean?

EthelMayFergus · 23/06/2020 20:21

A private jet arrived from LA into Farnborough (?) over the weekend and it is rumoured that Harry was on it. He was apparently seen with two RPOs at LAX. Whoever it was would have to isolate for 14 days so I doubt it'll be confirmed by any sightings, if it was him.

Roussette · 23/06/2020 20:22

Interesting Buttery I know about how much time you can spend in European countries, but no idea on the US and how that works. Could well be.

thisenglishlife · 23/06/2020 20:26

@HarryDaylight

Meghan Markle is 39 in a couple of months, and Harry is nearly 36. That's not young. They are not a young couple. They are approaching middle age.
They're not in their twenties, but they are not middle aged either: "between about 45 and 65" and The US Census lists the category middle age from 55 to 65. Harry is 35 and Meghan is 38
Roussette · 23/06/2020 20:28

What do you mean?

It's another forum. Harry

That you're on.

Roussette · 23/06/2020 20:29

thisenglishlife

Thank god for those facts and figures. Makes me feel a lot better Grin

Sittingontheveranda · 23/06/2020 20:29

It is strange that posters feel the need to ‘balance’ things.

There’s a positive thread, why can’t there be a negative thread?

And there ladies and gentlemen is the true reason behind this and the fifty threads before it. I rest my case.

HarryDaylight · 23/06/2020 20:32

Roussette

I don't know what you mean, but please don't discuss other threads on here.
