IMO MM looks better in casual clothes - the white shirt/jeans combo, etc. Her 'public outfits' never seemed to fit her properly, coats were slipping off and often an odd length and the tight dresses needed better underwear. The best formal look was the stunning blue dress she wore in the rain. In time, she'd have fine tuned her look and been stunning.

thisenglishlife · 17/06/2020 14:16

I think that Meghan looks better with less 'skin' makeup (bronzer, highlighter, foundation, concealer, etc).

I think you have to see people in real life to say they definitely have that X factor.
One of my friends, met Kate Moss, no make up on, just a chance encounter to do with something. She said to me... she is so ordinary looking but had just this something I cannot put my finger on. She was mesmerising to look at.

I imagine Diana or Meghan may have that but I don't know.

Halo84 · 17/06/2020 14:22

She’s wearing a lot of makeup in those photos.

thisenglishlife · 17/06/2020 14:24

It's less 'skin' makeup than her bronzed looks

EvilPea · 17/06/2020 14:26

I think Diana grew into her look and then had confidence in herself and that’s when she “glowed”. I think Kate’s got that now and I think in time mm would have too.

Samcro · 17/06/2020 14:55

@thisenglishlife wow she is stunning.

I think Diana became more attractive as she got older. she seemed to find her own style.

Redglitter · 17/06/2020 15:01

some posters can’t even bring themselves to admit that she glows from within like Diana

Maybe because they just dont see it

LaMarschallin · 17/06/2020 15:26

Maybe it's a charismatic glow...
Maybe it's Maybelline...*
Maybe it's Readybrek:

*Other makeup brands are available

Viviennemary · 17/06/2020 15:34

I read somewhere Meghan uses Charlotte Tilbury foundation. Not sure how true that is. I use ester lauder but dont have a glow as far as I'm aware. But agree her make up is usually very good. I especially like the lipstick shades.

alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 17/06/2020 15:51

There is an interesting video from a few years back with Meghan and Bobbie Brown in the back of a cab and Meghan doing her makeup

Samcro · 17/06/2020 16:21

Maybe it's Readybrek:
now thats funny

😂

"You think? I actually think her beauty and charisma and being female and being mixed race and being married to a prince are all part of the recipe for the poisonouse hatred she inspires in some."

Perhaps, but I think the primary reasons are her and Harry's entitlement and hypocrisy. And for Meghan alone - her inauthenticity (can't think of a better word).

Absolutely this.

Viviennemary · 17/06/2020 17:07

It's all in the eye of the beholder. I think Meghan comes over as very gushy and a phoney and far too over the top.. I've a friend who wasnt keen on Diana. She thought Diana was a phoney. I didn't. So there you are.

BlueTreeBlue · 17/06/2020 17:15

“some posters can't even bring themselves to admit that she glows from within like Diana”

What? 🤣🤣🤣 do you realise people can have different opinions than you, especially when it’s not pertaining to a fact?

mrscampbellblackagain · 17/06/2020 17:21

Beauty is definitely subjective but objectively I think all the women who marry in to the royal family are very attractive. Funny that, rich powerful men marry pretty women Wink

The wives are considerably more attractive than their spouses in my opinion.

Having met some of the male members of the RF and heard them speak, I struggle to believe many (if any) of their wives married them for their looks or personality. Then again, there are lots of marriages and relationships where love and physical attraction is not the appeal.
mrscampbellblackagain · 17/06/2020 17:29

Indeed @SunbathingDragon. I always think of Mrs Aherne when I see some marriages Wink

Sittingontheveranda · 17/06/2020 17:38

Having met some of the male members of the RF and heard them speak I would choose a plain, wealthy and powerful 0
plain man over. a plan employee!

If not too outing, what were the RF men that you met like? I imagine them being offhand and not making much effort.

I hope you aren’t envisioning anything too grand but due to a variety of work functions over the years, I’ve met most of them albeit some more fleeting than others. Never met Harry (or Meghan) though.
Sittingontheveranda · 17/06/2020 17:53

What was William like?
Bored? Offhand? Arrogant? Impatient? Reeking of doing a duty?

That is how I imagine him to be? And Harry too tbh.

Viviennemary · 17/06/2020 17:58

Some of those footballer look pretty grim. I expect their bank balances make up for a lot.Grin

OverUnderSidewaysDown · 17/06/2020 18:42

Sitting I don’t see William like that at all, he comes across as charming, if a little serious.

I didn’t have any impression of Harry until he adopted his recent whinging persona.

I’ve met Philip and he was a pleasure to talk to. And very well informed and intelligent.
