@Wolfgirrl you used to be fair and equally critical until someone hinted you were pro-Meghan or some other such nonsense on another thread. I think you have gone too far with your conspiracy theory.

Froq · 11/06/2020 15:58

Awkward cross post.

thisenglishlife · 11/06/2020 16:02

The Sun hate H&M.
The same article you posted states that:
Speaking at a charity event he said: “Once Meghan and I were married, we were excited, we were hopeful, and we were here to serve.

Roussette · 11/06/2020 16:02

Harry has not been happy within the RF for a long time. It's been widely discussed before and that seemed to be the consensus.

Isn't it like anything.... sometimes it just takes something for you to make that move, to tip the balance, and without clicking on a Sun link, I imagine Meghan was that to Harry.

Froq · 11/06/2020 16:04

The Sun hate H&M.

Lol ok

ButteryPuffin · 11/06/2020 16:04

I'm beginning to think they planned to leave even before marrying, after squeezing what they could out of the taxpayer

One thing that sways me against this is that if they'd been seriously planning it for all that time, I would expect them to have a clearer idea of what they are actually going to do now. I know Covid has blown a lot of people's aspirations to smithereens, theirs included, but even in the first few months of the year before lockdown, it all still seemed pretty vague. I think it's more likely that they had referred to it before but in a more obviously fantasy way 'we could run away and move to Africa!' and then it became something more serious.

Froq · 11/06/2020 16:09

That’s interesting Buttery but they did have a clear idea of what they wanted to do. Their manifesto and FAQs made it clear that they planned to be part time royals.

Only when that was refused and the ‘royal’ title was stripped did they seem lost.

Roussette · 11/06/2020 16:09

I agree Buttery. Especially if Harry was at odds somewhat within the RF

thisenglishlife · 11/06/2020 16:13

Well they have lots of negative stories about them and have been paying for negative leaks.

There is a clear media bias against them amongst the rr newspapers. Charles and William are somewhat protected a heirs and Andrew is protected as the favourite of the Queen.

Look up the Simon Rex story (he was offered thousands to lie about being in a relationship with or sleeping with Meghan, even though they were never a couple) - that's clear sabotage.

If they knew they were going to leave, they would have been gone before Archie's birth or shortly after. They would have already had deals and an organisation is place.

Source?

thisenglishlife · 11/06/2020 16:21

I'm simply suggesting that if they were going to leave at the start or early on, something would have been in place. They would have already had something to leave for. Why would that require a source?

EthelMayFergus · 11/06/2020 16:26

Crikey, Jessica Mulroney is going with the old 'I can't be racist because I have a black friend'. She has apologised though, now that Sasha has gone public with JM's threat to end her career. (Re; Froq's link to IG earlier).

Madasahattersteaparty1749 · 11/06/2020 16:27

Oh gosh that will definitely not portray either of them in a positive light if that was the case they were planning to leave before even married.

They were could have turned down the big wedding and titles instead focused on early married life.

Roussette · 11/06/2020 16:27

Anything positive has to have a source, whereas anything negative can be hearsay or assumption..... presumably!

Froq · 11/06/2020 16:36

@EthelMayFergus very awkward isn’t it.

Why would that require a source?

Because you stated it as fact.

Anything positive has to have a source, whereas anything negative can be hearsay or assumption

You’re ignoring the very (very) many demands for a source or ‘evidence’ on every H&M thread then.

thisenglishlife · 11/06/2020 16:40

No I didn't, I said 'if' and suggested they would have had a plan and something set up if they were planning on leaving.

Especially if they were planning on leaving since 2016/2017/2018. The absolute reach!

Roussette · 11/06/2020 16:43

I haven't ignored demands for a source, when asked yesterday for a source, for instance, I provided one.

They did. They had a manifesto.

Wolfgirrl · 11/06/2020 17:12

@TheNavigator yes, for one an article has come out today saying they discussed it before they married which got me thinking.

They were only in the RF for what, 18 months as a royal couple. This included their honeymoon, multiple holidays, Meghans maternity leave, the 6 week 'break' they decided to take when they went to Canada, the period after that in which they were still technically royals but had handed in their notice.

So they actually 'worked' (if you can call it that) for what? 9 or 10 months? And even then nowhere near like every day.

They only finished renovating Frogmore just before Archie's birth in May 2019, Meghan was then on maternity leave until September I think, leaving just a sliver of time between going back to 'work' and their 6 week holiday.

Are you honestly telling me in this brief window things got too much, they spontaneously decided to quit, and came up with their exit agreement?

Because the alternative is that they pushed ahead with the multi million pound renovations knowing in all likelihood they would be leaving the RF soon, but wanted to squeeze every last drop out of us that they could. Which is greedy beyond words.

There is also evidence they patented business ideas in the US long before they announced they were leaving according to newspapers.

TheNavigator · 11/06/2020 17:20

Well Wolfgirrl that is pure speculation on your part, it sounds highly unlikely to me.

thisenglishlife · 11/06/2020 17:23

A manifesto is not the same thing and you know it. If they were always going to leave, they would have had a proper set up ready - business, house, deals, whatever.

They had trademarks just like the Cambridges have, it stops people form registering your name.

Froq · 11/06/2020 17:25

It sounds highly likely to me. Especially with all of the evidence you’ve provided.

Although, as per their manifesto, they never planned to leave the RF entirely. They wanted to be part time so may well have planned to use frogmore as their UK base.

CallmeAngelina · 11/06/2020 17:28

Doesn't this provide an insight into whether they planned their exit all along?
