They might be having another baby soon.

Samcro · 18/07/2020 18:52

That would be nice

Roussette · 18/07/2020 18:53

Blimey, what speculation! I wonder if it really is 'friends' saying this or a convenient story for a sleb news outlet.

If, she's actually pregnant, I take it all back.

Samcro · 18/07/2020 18:55

Just thought if its true of not peole will say it was put out there to take the spotline from Princess B.
I can see/hear it now lol

Roussette · 19/07/2020 08:58

This is interesting to read. Serena Williams helped MM with the online trolling and abuse she had to put up with at certain times.

I have a lot of time for Serena W. She suffered decades of the most appalling sexist and racist abuse and personal comments, and all for being one of the most successful athletes of our time. You could not repeat on a forum what she endured.

Chrisseldah1 · 19/07/2020 11:03

True, Serena suffered horrific online abuse, and it was disgusting. Hopefully MM doesn’t take notice of the trolls now, but I understand it must have been utter hell for her especially when she was pregnant.

The Girl Scouts appear to have lived Meghan's recent speech. It's being promoted on their social media and they're making much of the fact she's an alum.

[quote Roussette]This is worth looking at. It was a twitter thread that has been collated onto threadreader to make it easier to read. I do think it illustrates that MM has had a commitment to girls and womens empowerment for a long time. Interesting to see all this in one place.

If you want to see it as a twitter thread, to read the comments about it at te end, you can read it here.

Wow, that thread is really good @Roussette. All quite laid out. That is why I always felt the smear against MM is just ridiculous. Probably one of the most qualified ppl to marry into the RF.

I think a lot of ppl have no idea what MM did before H. And the BM will not be telling shouting it from the rooftops.

Although the ppl who are constantly online know, they would not like to admit what she has done.

Mummy no one will look back at her achievements pre-Harry, I agree.

Nishky · 22/07/2020 21:40

I read that her ‘job’ at the embassy was an internship of a few weeks

Roussette · 22/07/2020 22:34

Interesting. Where did you read that?

I've read she worked there for a few months, at most, and 6 weeks at least.
All good experience.

One of my DDs worked for the Bulgarian Tourist Board over in that country for 3 months, and it goes on her CV! I think we all do that, MM is no different.

Nishky · 22/07/2020 22:57

We must have looked at the same articles as some said 6 weeks, the other said months.

I feel horribly shallow saying this but I loved the dresses she helped design in that clip.

The fact that stood out for me does not I fear paint me in a good light.

Nishky · 22/07/2020 22:59

Although I also liked the article in Elle, I think it was. I found that very moving, particularly the ‘draw your own box’ comment from her dad

i thought her dad was invited. but couldn't go as he was ill.

YouSayWhat · 23/07/2020 07:38

Absolutely, samcro. If TM hadn’t been invited to the wedding then we would have all heard about it.

Mummy195 · 23/07/2020 09:00

According to the court papers, MM arranged for TM to be driven from his home to the US where a hotel suite was booked for him. He would then fly to the UK. Flights, accommodation, Taylor all booked for him. Technically, he would have had his heart condition that led to his Cath here in the UK.

Samcro · 23/07/2020 09:48

it doesn't fit that narrative though. he is some how seen as a victim. no idea why as he has done some awful stuff to her.

Mummy195 · 23/07/2020 12:19

TM is seen as a victim, and that is the most ridiculous thing ever.

I wonder if someone showed him the footage of Piers M saying he does not give a damn about MM or TM. I suspect the BM were babysitting him when he came out with all the stories about MM - I recall those H txt asking if it was actually him on the phone, as it did not sound like him. I think the media ships him out when they feel like it, it will be hard for him when he gets absolutely no platform from the media when they decided they are done with him. What happened to his promise of an interview every month or something anyway.

calmcoolandcollected · 26/07/2020 00:40

MM is never going to be the most "sought after speaker in the world". That is ludicrous spin. She also isn't going to be paid $1 million for her word salads, when Barack Obama's average fee is $400,000, with the highest he's been paid for a speech being $600,000.

TM is seen as a victim

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Viviennemary · 26/07/2020 00:55

Thomas has said he did not get a formal invitation to the wedding. Doria did. Doria got a fancy scroll announcing the engagement. Thomas said he didn't get that either. One day it all may be clarified. And she had plenty of relatives on her mother's side she was quite close to. None of them were invited to the wedding.

meercat23 · 26/07/2020 13:34

Roussette I didn't understand TM to be complaining that he was not invited but I thought he was complaining that while Doria had received a proper written invitation and a scroll on the engagement he had not received either. Depends what he meant by formal invitation but I thought he meant the kind of invitation he could prop up on the mantlepiece rather than a verbal invitation.

In the end though it has all got so muddy and messy now that who knows what any of them really mean!
