Just saw PH on the one show, he was talking to some ex soldiers. He came across really well. The only bad thing was that like a lot of people who are do these chats from home, the lighting was terrible.
He looked really well though.
I have read a lot about how he seems to be a shadow of his former self. But I didn't think that, he just seemed like a more grown up HArry.

Roussette · 11/05/2020 20:07

Good to hear samcro

iVampire · 11/05/2020 20:14

You’re right samcro the lighting, background and just framing of the shot are all so much worse than the one of Archie and Meghan. Which is a pity, because they clearly have the kit available and the skills to get a much better final version

Samcro · 11/05/2020 20:22

Everyone seems to be doing it, we have this man on our local news, he seems to be in a corner of his hallway, terrible lighting.
I suppose H has to go some where quiet, not easy in a tiny house😂
No knocking H! Just everyone

Mummy195 · 12/05/2020 13:29

Most of the videos that are shot next to the cupboard are live videos, is it possible that is where their internet is the strongest without lags?
The baby Archie and MM video may be one take, but it looks like it could be taken anywhere in the house (with light flooding in) and just saved and sent off. It did not seem like MM was doing a live video / zoom.

It may also be possible that H&M may have workspaces within the house.

Continuing on from Archie's birthday, the charities set up by H&M supporters seem to have raised quite a lot of money for the charities. I remember reading a tweet from WellChld, where they were thanking the SussexSquad for all the money raised for the charity. The SA charity also posted pics with children receiving food packages.

It's a refreshing change that the supporters seem to be raising funds for charity - I remember when they moved to Canada that they mobilised on SM that ppl buy the cookbook and that went up the charts on Amazon. While H&M haters seem to just gain for themselves on being negative about H&M - lets face it I have not heard them donate any money to charity.

The Archieday charities initiative seems to be going on after his birthday, and so is the tree planting initiative.

Ah here you all are! Glad I'm not the only one who thought Harry looked like Ben Fogle in that clip!

“While H&M haters seem to just gain for themselves on being negative about H&M - lets face it I have not heard them donate any money to charity.“
What does this mean? That people who are negative towards H&M don’t donate money to charity? 🤣🤣 Do you care to explain your thoughts? I am not a big fan but donate plenty to charity, just not to their charity (which isn’t even their charity). But why should I have mentioned that before, just drop it into a totally unrelated conversation? I guess you only signup to the type of charity that is announced to the whole world. Only that could explain you thinking that people don’t donate to charity because they haven’t mentioned it.

iVampire · 12/05/2020 17:49

‘is it possible that is where their internet is the strongest without lags?’

It’s unthinkable that a house of the quality they are living in now has anything but excellent internet.

Oh dear. Just when the positive thread was going so well. Not even 50 posts in and you're moaning about your fictional "haters"?

ArriettyJones · 12/05/2020 19:37

I thought use of the word “haters” was an automatic forfeit of the argument. It’s a word for tweens who can’t debate.

Jillyhilly · 12/05/2020 20:07

I love the thought of Harry in their massive mansion wedging himself into a tight corner near the fridge in the hunt for a lag-free internet connection.

We have to go outside, but luckily we have security screening already in place...

Mamamia456 · 12/05/2020 22:43

Samcro - Yes I thought Prince Harry looked very happy and relaxed on The One Show.

If I kept a list of the most idiotic remarks read on MN, this would be in the top five.

Mummy195 · 13/05/2020 09:38

Why are you bothered by the word hater if you are not one.
There is nothing wrong with the word either, it gets used all over the internet.

No, they print tabloids, do blogs, youtube etc. slagging off MM purely for profit.

If the owner of the house is not there and uses it probably as a gap stop once in a while, they may not be bothered with looking at the internet situation. What was your take on why he always does his zoom in that one particular spot ?

And I did not say that one particular spot is his office either.

OP posts:
Samcro · 13/05/2020 09:40

i can only assume that the people who object to word "haters" have not read the threads on mn about H&M.

Mummy195 · 13/05/2020 09:43

Samcro

Nope.

Speaking of mansions, looks like H&M have lived in every empty house in LA. lol. Were they not buying Mel Gibson house, then neighbours with Tom Hanks etc. Just throw whatever, something will stick.

I watched this whole house debacle play out on twitter. They posted a picture of this house and someone said wtf that's Tyler Perry's house. But there was confusion with where it actually was, some thought Georgia. But this story is gaining traction and now everyone is reporting on it. Funny enough I tend to believe TMZ in these kind of gossipy things sometimes, because they will quickly dig around - remember how they quickly found that CCTV of H&M doing the deliveries, as well as the phone recording of them when they went to that pub with baby Archie.

No one really cares where H&M live, but I noticed this story was front page to divert from an Andrew story as always, there was a picture of H&M and the house. Piers M going on about their luxurious mansion (as opposed to palaces I guess) . Then Jeremy Vine, who only seems to report on negative stories on H&M, making some snide remark about them having to cool the whole mansion , at which point I was thinking, does the rest of the RF cool or heat all of the palaces or only the rooms they are using? His remark sounded so odd.

PS: Did someone say H is next to a fridge? That's news to me.

What's a gap stop, and how do you use a house to fill one?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 13/05/2020 13:16

Why are you bothered by the word hater if you are not one.

Because it's a horrible word. The fact that it's used all over the Internet is hardly a recommendation.

Nobody hates anyone. Calm down.

Mummy195 · 13/05/2020 13:48

fleas I am not too sure why you hate the word and feel the need to defend ppl who are making money from vile posts. If you read their posts, you would definitely call them hating - did you see that Griffin character's posts. She was up at night contemplating Archie's name too. Then there are the ones who claim he is not MMs baby etc.

I was not referring to MN posters (unless they are one of those ppl who make money out of the hate and go around spreading their gospel to make more money, they have been noted to go around discussion boards and comment sections, SM etc.).

I notice you appear here quite often to monitor this thread, are you doing the same with the negative threads too?

Why are you bothered by the word hater if you are not one.

It’s just puerile and reductive and kills any interesting discussion.

There is nothing wrong with the word either, it gets used all over the internet.

Grin Well okay them. That’s the standard?

Mummy195 · 13/05/2020 14:45

Anyone else saw the pictures that the Daily Fail posted of H playing with the dogs next to the pool. Apparently they used drones, but had to take it down within the hour.

Also in LA you are not allowed to take pics of children, so they blare them out. So there will be no unauthorised pics of baby Archie.

Not monitoring anything, Mummy195, just commenting. I'm not aware of any negative threads, only those where people share their differing views. Do feel free to check them out, it's an open forum.Smile
