@bluebell34567

i meant the white linen dress.
Sorry, you still sound petty.
bluebell34567 · 15/07/2020 22:23

i dont think so.

Roussette · 16/07/2020 07:57

This is worth looking at. It was a twitter thread that has been collated onto threadreader to make it easier to read. I do think it illustrates that MM has had a commitment to girls and womens empowerment for a long time. Interesting to see all this in one place.

i always envy people who can wear white. i avoid it as i would get it dirty.

Nanasueathome · 16/07/2020 11:14

I know that the picture of Meghan in the linen dress has been in all of the newspapers, just seems odd if they were out ‘at an appointment’ as the papers state, how they were photographed
Do the reporters follow them and stalk them?

Thanks for the links @Roussette. I remember some reading some of them a while ago Just before the wedding.

I did like her speech, thought it was okay for those types of events.

I think linen is very difficult to keep looking uncrumpled. I bought a linrn jacket once and after an hour's wear it was like crumpled rag you wouldn't have bought in a jumble sale. I took it back and asked for a refund. Got one surprisingly because I did buy quite a lot there. Never bought linen since.

Roussette · 16/07/2020 13:59

I agree. I have got a couple of linen dresses but they do not look good on me.
Linen trousers for me are the worst. They just seem to get bigger and baggier until I wash them and get them back to normal size, then rinse and repeat!

I once bought an amazing linen dress from Harvey Nichols for a wedding and it was F Off Fantastic but dry clean only and faded after the first clean. I looked fabulous but I had to take it back as it cost me 2 week’s salary and it looked crap after the first clean.

Chrisseldah1 · 16/07/2020 21:34

Gosh I hate linen dresses & pants, the creases always make me look stupid I think. Tbh I actually don’t like Meghan’s dress, I admit I looks mighty comfy . Maybe I’m biased as I know I would silly on it😂🤷‍♀️

Samcro · 16/07/2020 21:37

The york sisters were on the news today, congratulations people who had got awards fror fund raising.
They seemed really natuaral and very pretty. First time i have seen them like that.

Chrisseldah1 · 16/07/2020 21:43

a link might have helped. sorry

Roussette · 17/07/2020 08:22

Interesting to watch, we rarely hear them speak so that was nice

Samcro · 17/07/2020 16:10

how lovely that Princess Beatrice has got married. must have been awful to have had to cancel.
(feel a bit sad as should have been at a wedding this week)

Roussette · 17/07/2020 16:49

I just heard this on the radio as I drove back from somewhere. Don't blame her one little bit for keeping it private, wise move!

Samcro · 17/07/2020 17:45

Im tragically looking forward to the photos

Nanasueathome · 18/07/2020 12:14

Why would you ‘tragically’ be looking forward to the photos?

Samcro · 18/07/2020 12:58

I mean its tragic that i am looking forwrd to seeing them as I should have a life.
Not a dig at them.
Gosh you can't say anything these days.
