A continuation for those who would like to look at the positive side of Harry and Meghan.

i couldn't see a nappy.
maybe people are watching some thing else.
I really don't get why any one cares..........well I do, making stuff up to have a dig.

Mummy195 · 19/05/2020 12:16

I only heard about the nappy from her 'critics'. I never saw one either, and most reporters, were saying a plain white onesie. That is what I saw, no soggy nappy.

Tezza, my parents and (and later, myself and siblings) worked in different countries including US, so we have always followed international news. I have also lived in the US during various presidential offices. Always have and still do follow international, including US news.

Lots of well wishers on SM to the couple for their anniversary today.

Some from the charities, the ppl that worked with them, like the cake maker, the dress designer, army buddies etc.

Really nice to see.

Yes, they certainly did look happy on their wedding day and still do now.

Roussette · 19/05/2020 13:02

I loved the dress. I sorta knew it would be a boat neck. I loved how simple it was.

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 19/05/2020 13:03

I loved their wedding. My favourite was her dress for the evening reception. She looked amazing.

Mummy195 · 19/05/2020 13:07

They look very much in love, I remember this year H saying MM is still the same woman he married.

Strangely no has posted a picture of this mystical nappy.

chrisseldah1 · 19/05/2020 14:46

I loved the evening gown too, she looked so pretty. Her wedding dress was nice & simple , just didn’t love the hair but she did look beautiful.

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 19/05/2020 14:53

I cba to post a photo of the nappy, because if you search for the video yourselves you will see it. But it looked decidedly soggy to me, and personally, knowing that that vid will be around for decades if not Archie's whole life, I thought it was a bit unfair. Soggy nappy + vest - fine at home on a hot day, not so fine on a video that will go global. It just seemed undignified (for A).

ajandjjmum · 19/05/2020 15:03

Just a thought for those who feel Meghan has been treated worse than any other Royal bride.

Look at the stuff printed about Fergie, Camilla and Kate - people were vile at times. Obviously SM makes it bad now, but the press were far more brutal historically.

How about first, Princes Beatrice, Eugenie, Michael of Kent, and everyone else first step down and give up titles etc. Then H&M will also do the same.

Neither Beatrice, Eugenie nor the Michaels of Kent are financed by HM's state funds, nor do they have security. Infact, they have little to step down from in terms of benefits, other than association as minor royals.

Samcro · 19/05/2020 15:26

i think to be honest some people like me will say that she has been treated worse because of mn.
just reading the stuff on here has made me feel sorry for them.
Fergie did have a bad time, I liked her and back then I read papers so saw how nasty it was.
but just because someone else has had it bad doesn't make it right.
(where has the latest thread gone?)

Winterlife · 19/05/2020 15:36

@Samcro, go view the video. It’s obvious. I didn’t bring it up. I responded to an erroneous post.

Samcro · 19/05/2020 15:41

ok just did.
nah still can't see a soggy nappy, just a happy baby.

Winterlife · 19/05/2020 15:46

I never suggested the diaper was soggy. I just corrected the assertion he was wearing a onesie. He wasn’t.

Roussette · 19/05/2020 15:57

It just seemed undignified

I've never come across a dignified 1 year old yet! I'm sure there's footage out there of W&H that they don't like, it's all relative isn't it. I dread it when he is seen on footage dressed as a toddler, or a young child or whatever, if this endless nitpicking doesn't stop...

And I can't see a soggy nappy either, but even if it was, does it really need pointing out? It's like if my niece sent a lovely pic of her similar age baby (long hard struggle to have her, beautiful girl) and I said to her.. oh, she's got a soggy nappy.
I know I know, MM's in the public eye, but still

Samcro · 19/05/2020 16:00

if it was a nappy it must have been a nice one. just looked like a toddler vest thing.
but what ever it was. he looked clean and happy.

please guys lets not let this thread turn into one of the normal ones. the fact that this is different is good.

Roussette · 19/05/2020 16:00

I just corrected the assertion he was wearing a onesie. He wasn’t

Hilarious. If this happened not on a MM thread, I doubt whether anyone could be arsed to make such endless corrections. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm a bit stupid or something. Is a onesie a good thing, and a vest a bad thing?

Vest, onesie, babygro, whatever, it's irrelevant, he was a happy baby with his Mum reading a book.

Lockupyourbiscuits · 19/05/2020 16:00

Now I’ve had another look too !
I think it’s a fairly loose onesie- it has a soft fold in the nappy area that makes it look like a t shirt hanging - it also has a seam / ? Poppers underneath

Perhaps someone who is an expert from pampers can come and put us out of our misery 😂

Roussette · 19/05/2020 16:05

This is hilarious, really it is! Lock you better be careful with that assertion, because I think onesies are good and it has to be a bad vest Grin

Samcro · 19/05/2020 16:07

when my ds was a baby I often dressed him in weird things. hand me downs and charity shop stuff.
to me Archie looks posh.
I also remember those lovely vests with poppers.

Winterlife · 19/05/2020 16:08

Nope. When he wiggles, it’s obvious it’s a t-shirt.

@Roussette, Mummy195 could be “arsed” to correct another poster, by posting that poster was wrong about Archie wearing a diaper, and stating he was wearing a onesie (which here, means something that is snapped around the legs). That’s why I responded.

For someone who “can’t be arsed”, you’ve responded to me not once, but twice.

Hamsterian · 19/05/2020 16:08

It’s a beautiful wedding dress and also loved the evening dress. I liked the hair but I guess it was a bit if a less formal updo than some people would be expecting for a bride, but it’s her style.

“They look very much in love, I remember this year H saying MM is still the same woman he married.“

This made me laugh, it’s usually something people who have been married for years and years say. Not someone who got married less than two years ago (which is when he said it).

Mummy195 · 19/05/2020 16:09

I do love someone quoted him on twitter :

"The woman I chose as my wife upholds the same values as I do. And she does, and she’s the same woman I fell in love with. Once Meghan and I were married, we were excited, we were hopeful, and we were here to serve." -Prince Harry
