Following on from Harry and Meghan Biography

Has there been any mention of how long these 'friends' have known Meghan? One was a co-star I think? maybe this co-star was from one of those movies Meghan did during the summer break from Suits and filming those don't take long. I wonder if People exaggerated those friendships for the article which is why Meghan got upset.

That is simply not true, there were deletions from as soon as the video was put out. Although 'recent pages' may be the issue here, everyone can choose the number of posts they have on each page, so your 'recent pages' may be different to mine.

The fact is, there were deletions yesterday, when I posted. If you don't wish to believe that, that is your prerogative.

I may be wrong in this but I think Harry's resentment about not being supported probably has some foundation in how he and William were treated growing up. I'm quite sure that W will have got up to stuff that was squashed, because of his future role, whereas H's misdemeanours always came to light.

I also suspect he has been cut a lot of slack for being the younger, traumatised son and he's just got used to a lifetime of being indulged.

There is an interesting item in the DM about protocol . Apparently when Catherine paid tribute to midwives earlier this year , she checked with Anne who is Patron of Royal College of Midwives to make sure that was ok . Anne is President of Save the Children so the question is did H and M check with her before issuing the video .

thisenglishlife on the contrary, I think most people know or at least assume that the royals provide or offer special access and perks to some reporters. That's common knowledge, since at least Diana's day.

You seem awfully interested in policing people's opinions about the royal family, for which I'm sure we are all very grateful. However, I fail to see in what way H & M were "the punchbag" for the BRF. Can you please explain?

I did read the MNHQ comment. I wasn’t criticising Meghan's looks or personality or parenting. I was giving my opinion of the video which I found cheesy and unnatural. The sort of thing which is frequently discussed on here.

Why anyone would choose to support or donate money to such an organisation after recent scandals is beyond me. And that includes Princess Anne. Do they not read the papers?

I haven't watched the video. I'm not that interested in it.

However, the interesting bit about the whole thing is that H&M have gone above and beyond what was expected of them when they were in the RF.

The public wanted a few pictures of a Archie, and some mindless information about godparents which would have been almost instantly forgotten - this was refused.

Now there is a video of them in (presumably) their home, with Archie. It's giving the public much more than they were asked for.

If they had only done this in the beginning they would have avoided a lot of the clamouring for more information and the criticism.

I'm hoping it's down to new parent nerves and they have relaxed as the year has gone on.

Also suspect that was more Harry's issue than Meghan's. I'm fairly sure she wouldn't have been bothered about 3-4 pictures of Archie being released during the last year.

I don't know Sunnie1992, the cynic in me says that pictures of Archie last year would've been for the benefit of the royal family, pictures of him this year is for the benefit of the 'Harry and Meghan brand', of which he is now part of. Again it's the hypocrisy of saying they're going to LA to protect his wife and child from the media, quickly followed by endlessly courting the media.

I don’t think Meghan has ever implied that she doesn’t know who these friends are, assuming for now that they are genuine, but if she claims not to know who they are, can People be ordered to provide that information?

As an aside, MM face was really glowing in the video. I read somewhere she uses Eucerin as a highlighter. I wonder if that true.

It's a charity video for a nice organisation, not engagement with an unfriendly tabloid.

If I wanted to keep a low profile I’d probably move to Iceland. It looks rather nice up there.

MM’s skin has gone from ‘good’ to ‘amazing’ in the last few years.
She’s clearly serious about her healthy lifestyle, probably also having some fancy procedures and regular face massages, scrubs etc
I bought the foundation she uses, but haven’t tried it yet.

I just can't believe you can achieve a glow like that naturally. I couldn't be bothered anyway! It's much easier to stick some cream on, imho.

I had a facial once (almost had to be held down) and my skin was all glowy for a few days.
