Is there something seriously wrong with him?

@winterlife

I never said they dont have personal struggles. But they dont have to endure them whilst working 9-5, cooking their own meals, looking after their own kids, doing their housework and living through lockdown in a terraced house with a courtyard garden. And if they do have personal struggles, they have access to the best counselling our money can buy. That has to help surely Hmm

Viviennemary · 23/04/2020 23:37

Apparently also they are going to challenge the statements that they have immense wealth and privileges and disclose information about royal funding.Shock

Ok, you've lost the plot now. I don't have an irrational love of William and Kate.
You post about your dislike of William and Kate on every thread about Harry and Meghan, the threads that want to be happy for them and the threads that don't.
On every thread about Harry and Meghan you're there posting your dislike of William and Kate. You seem to be unable to read a thread title and comprehend the subject of the thread.
There's a thread in active William and Kate what have they done go on that and vent your hatred, I'm sure you'll be in good company.

MissEliza · 24/04/2020 00:15

I recall many columnists saying how dull Kate and William looked compared to M and H.

Wolfgirrl · 24/04/2020 00:21

@misshoskins

If you call justified scrutiny of two public figures 'hatred' then yes I'm full of hatred Hmm it is a lazy word people use when they cant refute your argument.

Winterlife · 24/04/2020 02:12

I find it hard to believe the tea flinging incident or the swearing. However if it is true, it would suggest M has serious issues .

Just Facetimed with a friend in Toronto. He's a photographer who used to do a lot of fashion shoots. I mentioned MM, asked if he'd worked with her. He hadn't, but is friends with an award winning and well respected director/photographer who worked with MM on Reitmans' advertising campaign. Reitmans is a low end women's clothing store, and MM had a line of clothing with them, and did some ads/promos. The guy said that MM was absolutely horrible, the worst person he has ever met, just mean to the bone.

My friend had specific stories, and based on those, the tea flinging incident is not unbelievable. I'm not saying it happened, just that based on what I heard, it's not outside the realm of possibility.

ArriettyJones · 24/04/2020 03:22

I recall many columnists saying how dull Kate and William looked compared to M and H.

“Dull” (i.e. dignified, dutiful, discreet) is the only possible way to keep the monarchy show on the road.

The institution won’t survive much more dramatics and soap-opera antics. Things had only just calmed down from Storm Diana when this latest generation started marrying.

RosesandIris · 24/04/2020 04:20

winterlife

That’s very interesting . Is it possible say what sort of things happened?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 24/04/2020 06:23

Dull works fine for me. It's impossible to know how hard W&K work. Personally I don't care. The supportive videos of them clapping, chatting online to schoolchildren, these small gestures do amazing things for morale nationally.

Working hard isn't necessarily working smart, as the Sussexes have shown.

Jillyhilly · 24/04/2020 07:42

millions in the bank courtesy of the taxpayer, a grace and favour mansion, no real work to do and the best education/medical care other people's money can buy has got to help

Actually, I think it’s pretty well established that enormous wealth and “no real work to do” can be catastrophic for individuals.

SliAnCroix · 24/04/2020 07:49

If i were his pr agent now id be telling him to get a job. Maybe a job that pays 60,000 dollars a year. A charity would value the association. It would do him the world of good. Take his thoughts out of poor me poooor me. Prove he can get a job and keep a job.

He might stop pissing us all off with his gofundus arche foundations.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 24/04/2020 07:49

Ooh Winter interesting.

Couldn’t agree more Cat

SliAnCroix · 24/04/2020 07:51

Im glad w&k didnt try to be more exciting. They wouldnt have been being themselves if they'd starting changing their behavior to compete. They have the authenticity not to change just because there are showbiz starz in their midst

Mummyoflittledragon · 24/04/2020 07:59

The guy said that MM was absolutely horrible, the worst person he has ever met, just mean to the bone.

Fuck. If this is true, it’s not surprising how lovely and especially welcoming the Queen was to her. Perhaps she sees it as MM holding her favourite grandson hostage and this was an attempt albeit failed to keep her happy.

This also ties in with the narrative from her childhood friend, who said she wanted to be Diana 2.0 from her teens when they visited Buckingham palace and how easily she discards people when they are no longer useful. Sinister.

Joans3rddaughter · 24/04/2020 08:08

I am very worried for Prince Harry. Many photographs, not all, but many taken in the last 6 months or so, show a man that looks very angry and paranoid. I think Prince Harry would have eventually always wanted to have step away from the Royal family, I think MM has just given him the "permission" he felt he needed and enabled him to do so. But I do think that will be their downfall and that in time she will feel he is holding her back. Just my thoughts.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 24/04/2020 08:15

If i were his pr agent now id be telling him to get a job

Me too. I could see him running a high end property business. Don't laugh, they make a fortune at the top end. Also his military work ethic goes down very well in that sector.

ArchePenguin · 24/04/2020 08:29

Harry, estate agent to the stars. Not quite what he had in mind.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 24/04/2020 08:59

Maybe not but imagine his client list!

CallmeAngelina · 24/04/2020 09:15

But isn't that the whole argument that the RF were putting to him when he crashed ahead with his statement to the press back in January? What "job" can he do, that will generate the income he needs/wants, but that doesn't trade off his (now former) royal status? And that he has the brains/ability/talent to do?

Too late Miss Hoskins, she's all over that one like as rash as well. The absolute hatred for William and Kate just oozes.

Wolfgirrl · 24/04/2020 09:30

@hyrana

Please point to what I have said that is hateful as opposed to valid scrutiny. Ta

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 24/04/2020 09:31

I reckon he could secure any number of paid board roles. We shouldn't underestimate his skill set, which is unknown. Nor indeed overestimate those required for these roles.

It's not megabucks territory but collectively they can add up to a decent income. More importantly it gives him credibility and some status while MM concentrates on earning the big money, which she has the drive for.

HarryDaylight · 24/04/2020 09:33

The secret services take an interest in the really overt haters in case they do something embarrassing at an event or even worse to any of the royals. The Sunday Times wrote about it at the time of Harry and Meghan's wedding as so many people were on their "watch" list, including Meghan's step sister.

It must be awful to go through life knowing that people you don't even know wish you harm.

LaMarschallin · 24/04/2020 09:43

Gosh.

Like, James Bond is reading MN right now, ready to wrestle someone to the ground?

Well, umm...

I think Harry's bald spot is definitely growing and I really didn't like that green dress-with-cape thing that Meghan wore when last in the UK. And I'd never heard of "Suits" before the publication of the spooning bananas.

"spooning bananas" - there's a phrase I never expected to type.

Nikhedonia · 24/04/2020 09:55

she wanted to be Diana 2.0 from her teens when they visited Buckingham palace

I thought it was really odd in her engagement interview to say that she didn't really know who PH was as the RF aren't very big in America Hmm she's also said that there isn't really a tabloid culture in America. Hmm

Does she think we are stupid or does she not know her own country?
