I just saw your post. You are correct this thread get more vile by the minute. I think at one point there were all sorts of views, but I just see it's mostly the same posters who egging everyone one. I think even the ones with different point of views simply got tired.

These threads currently read like Piers M and Katie H egging each other on, reassuring themselves with excuses why they should be vile towards MM. I for one admit that I like H&M based on the projects they have done.

I don't think much of W&K for example, and I probably have a lot of negative things to say about them, but personally, I would not be able to spend that much time and energy on vitriol of another human being - no matter how rich or privileged they are - that I don't know, doesn't particularly affect my life, especially without evidence, but 'hunches' that I feel about them.

PS : the issue about W&K not having another child has nothing to do with H&M.

W told Africans to stop overpopulating the planet, then went on to have a 3rd child themselves.

Read my link, which is the text of William’s speech. Then paste the sentence in which he tells Africans to stop overpopulating the planet.

I personally don't care if William is a hypocrite. Most of us are. But he and his family are here in the UK along with the rest of us. I find W&K and their family a reassuring presence. It's very hard to describe without sounding sycophantic.

William is talking about the effect of exploding population growth on the environment, which is topical for this charity.
What he’s saying is factual.
Different countries have different growth rates, and I’d support legislation about keeping each country at replacement rate.

@derxa Shakespeare, of course, had a quote for it "Dost thou think because thou art virtuous, there shall be no more cakes and ale?"

Quote might not be accurate as l read the play at the age of 14, and that is much longer ago than I care to remember, but the meaning is there.

What they do does affect your life. You are a stakeholder in this organization.

Why is it that people who accuse others of virtue signalling, always come across as virtue signalling themselves. ie. I am better than them because I don't do virtue signalling, but look at that person doing it, so my position is more morally correct. My friend calls it the virtue signalling circle.
