Here's a follow on to the last thread, which was really enjoyable.

No no surely the joke is that the pranksters know full well there are no penguins at the North Pole. They’ll know Greta will know that. They pretended she didn’t to see if PH commented on it. That’s what makes it funny

Ah. Good point.

DandyAF · 11/03/2020 14:27

I wish I could photoshop.
I can’t, so you’ll just have to imagine a film poster for The Penguins of Belarus featuring a penguin wearing a traffic cone as a hat, one with Resting Bird Face wearing a crown, and in the background - Greta Thurnburg and Prince Harry.

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 11/03/2020 14:33

Possibly Puzzled although I notice some OTT remarks on the Never See H&M Again thread are still standing with no reminders from HQ to be niceHmm.

That would look great in my hall igloo of residence... hic 🥳

DandyAF · 11/03/2020 14:35

Grin LaMa

DandyAF · 11/03/2020 14:37

Just to lower the tone, if the hoax call's true at all, HQ will probably delete this one because of the "ongoing legal case"

Puzzled that’ll be the legal case brought by the penguins, yeah? I hear they’re representing themselves and going au naturel as their birthday suits resemble barristers’ robes.

SpokeTooSoon · 11/03/2020 14:41

The penguin exchange is the funniest thing I’ve read in ages. You can just imagine the hoaxers putting the phone on mute to laugh at Harry telling them about his “man in the North Pole” - who’s that then, Santa Claus?

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 11/03/2020 14:42

Lama please upload fully it's hilarious! Grin

TheNavigator · 11/03/2020 14:42

Regardless of whether the hoax call is true or not, it certainly isn't funny. I despise these sorts of nasty pranks.

I can't resist.

I think the part in the hoax call about the penguins is funny.

I don’t think prancing Harry is funny.

In fact my first feeling on hearing the tape was sadness. I felt very sad for him. Which I said last night on a thread that got deleted. That’s the problem with threads getting deleted, a lot of what we’ve said gets pulled and we are then somewhat forced to repeat ourselves else we look like nothing but cold-hearted Penguin livers.

HarryDaylight · 11/03/2020 14:54

penguin livers Grin

TheNavigator · 11/03/2020 14:56

You do sound cold hearted laughing at a nasty prank, I think you have to own that as the price for being amused by someone else being hoaxed. I think it is vile, myself.

DandyPenguin · 11/03/2020 14:56

PRANKING Harry, not prancing Blush
Although I might think a prancing Harry was funny.

“Cold-hearted Penguin livers” are probably a delicacy for some with a nice Chianti but I meant penguin lovers.

MissEliza · 11/03/2020 14:57

I agree. Pranking is wrong. Do you remember those Australians who pranked the nurse in the hospital where Kate was staying? She killed herself. Perhaps she had previous mental health issues but that's exactly why you shouldn't prank people.

HarryDaylight · 11/03/2020 14:57

DandyPenguin fabulous name change, love your style!

DandyPenguin · 11/03/2020 15:03

Ah fuck it I gave you an easy in there didn’t I The Navigator? Grin

And you navigated your way through the gap wide enough to let two lorries in to get a dig in. Gold star to you.

There’s a huge difference between laughing at a ridiculous comment about penguins - not that Harry fell for it, but the wording used - and laughing at him being pranked. But go ahead and sneer, fill your boots.

DandyPenguin · 11/03/2020 15:13

Thanks Harry My next change will be PenguinLivers Grin

Dongdingdong · 11/03/2020 15:18

How did the pranksters manage to get past Harry's security - not once but twice? It shows how vulnerable he is outside of the royal fold IMO.

Winterlife · 11/03/2020 15:19

Does security screen Harry’s phone calls?

yolofish · 11/03/2020 15:28

No one is laughing at the prank itself, we've all agreed that it's a horrible thing to do to anyone - which you would know if you'd RTFT. And mentioned the poor nurse.

But come on, the penguin banter is very funny! Well, it's making some of us laugh at least. Possibly those of us who would be quite keen to p--p-pick up a penguin if we could.

yolofish · 11/03/2020 15:29

penguin livers? Sounds like something they'd serve up on Saturday Kitchen or Sunday Brunch... would it be food heaven or food hell I wonder?

GracefulHippo · 11/03/2020 15:33

I don’t think we even know if it is true or not. It still is an alleged prank, which seems to be widely reported across paper. I think my first post said I hoped it wasn’t true.

Pranks can be nasty indeed.

But the penguin banter is funny. I needed that today.

Goodness, DandyPenguin you are ON FIRE this afternoon GrinGrinGrin
