Here's a follow on to the last thread, which was really enjoyable.

It doesn't mean they can't help. Omg they are so self important.

If the Queen is going to Balmoral now then maybe H$M will be there soon.
Batten down the hatches!

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 17/03/2020 21:36

Well, I have to say I am much more worried about HMQ than H and M... given that she is 93. In current times, I think people would be devastated if the worst happened.

RubyViolet · 17/03/2020 21:40

How can they help though ? A few insta posts of meaningless platitudes. A few self help slogans from the comfort of their rented mansion ? Let them eat cake.

RosesandIris · 17/03/2020 21:43

Why does she have to keep talking through her ‘friends’? It really does read like she phones the Daily Mail for the weekly titbit. Why does she need to tell the world what H is thinking and feeling?
I sense a sea change actually. I think she’s realised she’s backed herself into a corner and is trying hard to get back in the ‘good books’.
Look, we are taking Archie to Balmoral.
Look, Harry does miss his family
The only reason we didn’t bring Archie over with us was fear for his health you know.
We’re not doing nothing. We’re so busy WORRYING about you all.
But the many ‘staffers’ who fetch their shopping and wait on them hand and foot must keep their nasty germs away and minimise contact because of course M and H are VERY IMPORTANT PEOPLE in case we’d forgotten that fact.

RubyViolet · 17/03/2020 22:08

Give it a few months and it will be like this never actually happened.. we didn’t mean it, we feel duty is taking us back.
Clicks heels There’s no place like home, there’s no place like home.

RosesandIris · 17/03/2020 22:25

Yes that’s what I think. It’s not turning out quite the way they expected . The fanfares and red carpets are not materialising.

RubyViolet · 17/03/2020 22:39

If the world is disrupted by CV for a prolonged period it will disrupt their plans. Unless they really want to drop out of sight. I doubt that though.
They have no official role now so l don’t know where they they fit it in with the current status quo.

FromEden · 17/03/2020 22:46

I'd say certain people are raging the met gala was cancelled. Is anyone else rolling their eyes at the stupid stories about their lives that continue to be "leaked" to the DM. The world has bigger problems right now. Seriously no one gives a fuck so just go away.

RosesandIris · 17/03/2020 22:51

Yes that’s true about the met gala. Although I read somewhere that she wasn’t going anyway. Who knows.

MissEliza · 17/03/2020 22:51

The story in the DM online is w very fluffy piece. I think it must be intended to keep them in the public's mind as the Met Ball has been cancelled.

SussexRoyalPenguin · 17/03/2020 23:25

Trooping the Colour might be cancelled. Yet another photo op in doubtz

AmIbeingTreasonable · 18/03/2020 00:11

That was meant to say MeGain was not invited to the Met ball anyway🤣

MissEliza · 18/03/2020 07:17

@SussexRoyalPenguin they wouldn't have been at Trooping the Colour anyway.

carnivalisover · 18/03/2020 07:34

Re buttery's theatre idea: maybe theatres could stream performances they’d hosted in the past, which people could pay to watch? Would keep the kids stuck indoors entertained.

Also, I think the realisation that she was influential in the breakaway may be occurring to M, and that if his grandparents or father die whilst H is sequestered abroad, no matter how they spin it publicly - well, it’s never going to be forgotten or forgiven, is it? - between themselves it will always be there, festering.

APenquinIsCuttingthegrass · 18/03/2020 07:39

Why do they need staff ?

Just why?

And why have they worded their leak to include that they are self isolating. Do they have symptoms? And another swipe at Kate I see. No reason for it other than pure nastiness.

I also think the established charities helping peoples mental health, especially the elderly, in times of isolation are more experienced than HaM. We need more exposure of their websites and telephone numbers.

The number of local support groups which have established themselves to help those having to isolate is heartening to hear.

StartupRepair · 18/03/2020 08:51

Why don't they just grab a tent and a backpack because as they breathlessly told everyone last week, that's how they roll? No-one's making them have ranks of gloved servants.

LaMarschallin · 18/03/2020 09:26

StartupRepair
After a grim start to the day listening to radio 4 (I live on the edge, me) that made me smile.

If they ever do try to put up the tent they've grabbed, with only the contents of their backpacks to aid them, it would be a great contribution to the world's jolly-ness if they could see their way clear to live-streaming it.

(Having said that, maybe MM would be brilliant at it. Because she wasn't born to a rich and pampered life in the same way Haich was.
She's just achieved it relatively recently by virtue of who she married. "Some people are born great..." etc)

Uplifting messages of positivity and kindness

Sorry, this is a bit belated, but was just checking...

Is that what the alien police said to Newt in "Good Omens"?

If so, I have no idea what you mean Wink

ButteryPuffin · 18/03/2020 09:43

Why do they need staff?

I don't know why I hadn't thought of this before but it's an excellent point. Security needs aside, they are a - currently unemployed - couple with a baby. Meghan is on record as saying she loves to cook. What household and childcare needs do they have that two adults couldn't take care of themselves? If Harry isn't well versed in the day to day tasks of modern life, having spent many years with servants, then as part of his transition to being a private citizen it's an ideal time for him to get acquainted with doing his own laundry, taking the bins out etc. The simple pleasures of ordinary life! (I know he was in the army but I assume their approach to getting things done may not be one he's carried into domestic life)

ButteryPuffin · 18/03/2020 09:44

I'm surprised now I think of it that they haven't done a 'washing the royal hands' video.

7Penguins · 18/03/2020 09:50

LaMa if so, it was completely unintentional, I’m embarrassed to say. Blush

See how good and honest* you are?

I'd have believed you.

*Hey, it's all relative Wink

7Penguins · 18/03/2020 10:03

Compliments from you are such a rollercoaster Grin
