Here's a follow on to the last thread, which was really enjoyable.

Oh and there’s quite a few bizarre comments saying that she’s apparently not wearing her wedding or engagement rings in the video?! Confused

ButteryPuffin · 14/03/2020 00:49

Archie is very unlikely to get it, thankfully.

Goodnight fellow penguins and other fluffy birds. Heads under your wings now.

StartupRepair · 14/03/2020 01:40

I think we will all find we have someone in our circle who could theoretically infect our DC. I'm no Sussex fan but that seems a particularly long bow to draw.

There’s absolutely no proof whatsoever that Archie wasn’t in the UK with his parents last week.

And as for the comments regarding the Coronavirus and possibility of him becoming ill because the family knows the PM’s wife? As we say in Scotland - you can’t educate mince.

Nanamilly · 14/03/2020 05:10

Even now: the world is in the grip of a serious pandemic, and some of you use that to get in digs at her baby

You need to go back and read the post again.

Your colours are showing

🙄

Dandy Penguin - Sophie Trudeau lives in Ottawa and Meghan’s other friends in Canada live in Toronto. That’s a hell of a cough Mme Trudeau has to go 4550 k from Ottawa to Victoria.

And we don’t have a president, we have a Prime Minister.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 14/03/2020 07:02

Nanamilly yes of course Archie could have been here with his parents

Tsukukuviri Report the posts if you don’t like them.

SussexRoyalPenguin · 14/03/2020 07:23

Those Twitter comments are shocking.

SussexRoyalPenguin · 14/03/2020 07:24

It is all so sad.

OnlyTheLangoftheTitBerg · 14/03/2020 07:33

It’s a few pages back but re Zara and her advantages in eventing: I used to compete myself when I was younger (not to her level but affiliated) and generally she is fairly well respected precisely because she didn’t/doesn’t buy mega-expensive ready made horses, she does what most people do and buys youngsters and brings them on herself. Toytown, her World & Euro Ch gold medal winning ride was bought as a 7yo novice with a bad habit of taking out showjumps; her London 2012 silver medal horse High Kingdom was owned by someone else entirely (as is the norm in the higher levels of eventing) and she wouldn’t have been offered the ride if she hadn’t already demonstrated that she had the talent and work ethic to do the horse justice. Yes she had the advantage of having an Olympic gold medalist for a father to draw upon for advice and free lessons, but you only have to look at the Beckham boys to see that that’s no guarantee of success in following in your father’s footsteps.

I’m sure there are plenty of other elements of privilege for which she could be justifiably criticised but the one area of her life where you can only succeed through hard work and talent, and where she demonstrably has been less spendy than some others in her field seems a remarkably odd one to choose.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 14/03/2020 07:50

I’m so glad at times that I don’t twitter either Sussex

Interesting OnlyTheLang it’s good when someone in the know so to speak gives their view point.

derxa · 14/03/2020 07:57

ButteryPuffin · 14/03/2020 08:37

Pedantic but those comments are from Instagram not Twitter. Not that Twitter can't be vicious but this is from Instagram, which is the Sussexes' preferred social media site.

Brainfoglightson · 14/03/2020 08:48

Excellent penguin work last night, @yoloPenguinsEatfish.

*figurative only

ElectricMartha · 14/03/2020 09:00

Tsukukuviri M&H are putting themselves out there in the word of business, philanthropy etc. They have an Instagram account to document all these things. I looked at it and said some of the comments on it are brutal and wondered if they read them. PPs have noted the amount of vitriol on there too and said there are some bizarre posts saying MM has exposed Archie to coronavirus. No one on here is condoning those. They’re bloody bonkers and no one on here would agree with such stupidity. Posting about content and comments on M&Hs Instagram does NOT constitute a vicious campaign in any way.

Why on earth should we only be able to discuss constitutional issues when it comes to these two? Why should anything that isn’t about this transform this into an orchestrated campaign against M&H? I know you want to believe everyone on here is white and racist but that is absolutely wrong. We are posting a out comments on Instagram not making them and think some of them are mad. If you want to read some really cutting, personal and mean comments go look at the masterchef threads on telly addicts across the years. Should they all be pulled too.

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 14/03/2020 09:04

Morning, penguins!

May your feathers be fluffy but unruffled today Wink

SussexRoyalPenguin · 14/03/2020 09:11

That’s really losing the plot if you’re tearing down Masterchef contestants.

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 14/03/2020 09:24

Masterchef contestants? wot? No understand...

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 14/03/2020 09:24

oh sorry, yes I do. Haven't had had my morning coffishy yet.

DandyPenguin · 14/03/2020 09:29

@Ritascornershop I know Sophie Trudeau lives in Ottawa, I’d said so on here before your post.

My mistake on the president though, I know Trudeau’s a PM that was a mis-type without thinning.

DandyPenguin · 14/03/2020 09:32

Without thinking not “without thinning”. Although never a truer Freudian mistype was written.

Oldbutstillgotit · 14/03/2020 09:48

@ Nanamilly was Meghan not reported to have told people at her final meeting that she was catching the last plane back to Canada so that she would be home for Archie waking up ?
I’m Scottish but have never heard the “ can’t educate mince” expression but will now !!

RainbowPenguins · 14/03/2020 09:53

There is clearly no reasoning with you.

You don't try and reason with us though Tsuk. You only come on and post when you want to attack us and take things out of context. On previous threads, other posters who disagree have engaged and taken part in a discussion. You just pop up once in a while to try and police us.

I'm curious, if you hate these poisonous threads so much then why do you keep lurking? Obviously everyone is entitled to read or join in as they wish but i do find it strange to stick by these threads for weeks on end when you hate them so much.

SussexRoyalPenguin · 14/03/2020 09:58

Tsuk has her opinions and every opinion is valid, whether we agree with it or not. Let Tsuk say what she wants to but let’s not rise to it and turn this thread into a slanging match.

Agree to disagree.

That goes for all posters.

Peace and Love.
