So, Frogmore has been mothballed and they have undoubtedly booked the Royal Suite at the Goring.

To me, it looks like the man in the hat has opinions on UK taxpayers subbing multimillionaires. But is obviously keeping them under his hat.

Does everyone except me like this kind of coat? She's got a good and slim figure as we all know, but it's not doing much for her.

The Goring is 25 miles from Windsor Castle. I wonder how many times cheaper the drive between the two would be rather than staying in the hotel.

Or she’s been wearing trousers, in winter, in Canada, and her face has not been similarly covered up..

Haha - indeed. Many of us share his unvoiced opinions. It’s so ridiculous to scuttle off as she did and now to return simpering. No idea.

Correction, apparently they were there for lunch and aren’t staying. They’re staying at Frogmore.

She must have a very high tolerance for cold. Bare legs in winter and she often wears summer dresses in winter too.

I find it hard to believe M flew in today. Surely she’d be shattered? My guess is she flew in before today and has been lying low.

Weird choice of flimsy shoes for a cold and wet day, though I suppose if she was only going between car and hotel it wouldn't be as hazardous as it looked. The coat was a sensible choice on a day like this

It's been a pleasant relief not to see them in the media. It would be good if they could just make a quiet and dignified exit after they've completed their business.

I understand the Queen offering an olive branch, partly of course because Harry is a dearly loved grandson but also because she is presumably playing the long game in the hope that all the fuss will die down and they can creep back into the fold at some future date.

It's not impossible, although I think they are all underestimating the depth of public opinion. Either that or they are indifferent to it.

What time is the thing tonight? I’m genuinely curious to see how it plays out.

Why is Meghan simpering like that every time she’s being photographed... I honestly can’t remember seeing a genuine smile from her in public.
