Let’s strive to keep on topic and not engage with posts designed to disrupt.

@Bluntness100 - you make a good point about being a poisonous brand. They need to step back fast and play nice with everyone. The simple truth is that if they'd talk about the Queen this way, they'd do it to anyone who crosses them. Business people know that, and won't risk being the target of their ire.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 27/02/2020 10:33

Accurate as ever, Bluntness

Surprised, though, to see the pic of the Vancouver Island estate with no apparent security; even if either or both H&M are away, I'd have thought they'd still need it, just to prevnt photogs sneaking around for

And yes, rainbows, I spent a month on the island a few years ago; as you say it's beautiful beyond belief though not a place I could ever settle except perhaps in Victoria (too much of a townie Blush)

7Worfs · 27/02/2020 10:35

If it’s true journos repeatedly asked Harry if he’ll be apologising to the Queen and made him walk away (per the comments on that tweet), the next few weeks will be very interesting.

Literally biting the hand that feeds you, these two.

Butterymuffin · 27/02/2020 10:36

Their security team are stretched already. I guess they're all with the Sussexes in their various locations. Ideally there would be security at the house but who's going to pay for that?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 27/02/2020 10:42

Fair point, Buttery, but there seems to be cash available for whatever they actually want to do, and given the lwsuits being flung over others who've "invaded their privacy" I'd have thought protecting the house would be a priority

rockingchaircandle · 27/02/2020 10:46

The sense of entitlement from this DM exclusive is breathtaking - it's such an uncomfortable read.

Of course it is, this is exactly what it was designed to do. How is anyone surprised by this? You're being programmed.

I think she and Harry are following Diana’s precedent . It didn’t end well for her and it won’t for them I suspect.

That is vile. Even among all the misogny, and desperation to find doom - that stands out.

This really isn't jolly gossip.

7Worfs · 27/02/2020 10:50

They’ve probably vacated the house for good.

I’m standing by my earlier guess that they have made the move to a permanent home in the US.

Butterymuffin · 27/02/2020 10:53

They probably have left it for good. It was acknowledged as a temporary arrangement with whoever owns it (still not disclosed). I would guess they will head for the US too after this last round of engagements. Be interesting to see what's said then about houses.

Thanks, jeff, I reserve my right to not like entitled shits, regardless of their primary and secondary characteristics. Grin

Puzzledandpissedoff · 27/02/2020 11:05

The Daily Mail "exclusive" was ghastly, but given the bilge they often print I think I'll keep an open mind on it, thanks all the same

That said, there's a certain amount they've published which has been borne out by events, so who knows ... ?

ilovejeffgoldblum · 27/02/2020 11:05

My lurking didn't last long 7 ! Blush

TheMustressMhor · 27/02/2020 11:05

I also reserve the right not to like entitled shits, Worfs
And as for:

I wonder how they are going to support themselves financially

Anybody normal would be able to live comfortably on the (upwards of) £34 million they already have. There would be no need to support themselves financially when they have so much money and property.

It is a kick in the teeth to people who rely on foodbanks to suggest anything other than that.

ilovejeffgoldblum · 27/02/2020 11:07

I just thought accusing posters on Mumsnet of all places of misogyny was a bit much!

7Worfs · 27/02/2020 11:08

It’s gaslighting Grin

Totally agree mustress, this is one of many reasons I find them so annoying!

NumbersStation · 27/02/2020 11:10

Bingo!

ilovejeffgoldblum · 27/02/2020 11:10

Indeed 7 indeed it is! Grin, and not the first time it's been thrown about!

ilovejeffgoldblum · 27/02/2020 11:12

That and the R word also! , personally my irritation is based solely on actions and deeds, I would feel and criticise anyone behaving this way regardless of who they are.Smile

7Worfs · 27/02/2020 11:15

I notice Coronavirus rules headlines today Sad
I’m trying hard to avoid reading about THE IMPENDING DOOM

ilovejeffgoldblum · 27/02/2020 11:19

Yes I noticed that too! , we had a splattering of snow this morning , little Jeff very excited, then luckily turned to rain and stopped, I was very relieved! When you live at the top of a hill that the council won't grit snow is very dangerous! Smile

rockingchaircandle · 27/02/2020 11:19

I don't think posting a definition is going to help some people understand their own misogny, sadly. Everyone's having far too much fun.

This isn't fun though:
It is a kick in the teeth to people who rely on foodbanks to suggest anything other than that.

Will you just drag anything in? Austerity and the devastating impact it's had on people, needs addressing. Its not Meghan and Harry's fault and it's a snide distraction.

Similarly, mental health and drug addiction. Not amusing topics for most people. And someone claimed Harry and Meghan lack dignity?

7Worfs · 27/02/2020 11:22

Light snow here too, but not setting. Perfect temperature for virus spreading.

Stay safe, MN-ers! Brew

ilovejeffgoldblum · 27/02/2020 11:23

I'm in Wiltshire 7 , I did feel alarmed when I read that some quarantined people were being sent here!
I'm a bit further on though so no cases near me yet! (Phew!) Smile
