I wimped out of the other thread title I planned as I thought it might look goady.

But please let’s keep it as the reality-and-let's-avoid-idle-speculation-and-reliance-on-dodgy-sources thread (thanks Seneca!).

He took the train to Edinburgh; there are photos of him in Waverley.

Encyclo · 25/02/2020 21:52

He took the train

annielouise · 25/02/2020 21:53

It'll be interesting to see the reception H gets. Whether he gets booed by anyone or not. Perhaps it's wise M isn't here, see what reception H gets first. It must be daunting for them having to see the queen after the events that have happened.

annielouise · 25/02/2020 21:54

Well, yes, obviously he caught the train to Edinburgh, but not from Canada. That could have been private jet.

peridito · 25/02/2020 21:55

What events are they annie ?

peridito · 25/02/2020 21:56

You think it will be interesting to see if H gets booed or not ????????

LaurieMarlow · 25/02/2020 21:57

I doubt anyone will boo him.

Outside of the internet whack jobs, people don’t give this stuff much headspace.

FelicityFebruary · 25/02/2020 21:57

Carrying his own suit bag through Waverley, nice touch!

He won't get booed.

SenecaFallsRedux · 25/02/2020 21:58

I hope he doesn't get booed. But if he does, it will say more about the booers than it will about Harry.

Encyclo · 25/02/2020 21:59

He flew commercial according to the Mirror

Cerseirys · 25/02/2020 21:59

Commercial flight and then train, apparently. If he'd flown private then I'm sure the tabloids would've made it their number 1 priority to find out. Also, if he flew private then why not just fly direct to Edinburgh?

SenecaFallsRedux · 25/02/2020 22:00

I doubt he'll be booed in Edinburgh. I used to live there. The nicest people in the world. Fact. Smile

Encyclo · 25/02/2020 22:01

If the Queen didn't get booed following Diana's death (and she feared she would), I highly doubt Harry will.

Nobody really cares about this stuff except us. The GBP have bigger fish to fry IMO

peridito · 25/02/2020 22:01

I don't see why it would be daunting for H .After months of talks he and his family are in Canada ,details of his new role have been worked out .

I imagine his grandmother will be pleased to spend time with him .

Pinkpeone1 · 25/02/2020 22:02

I wonder will Harry come to his senses and remember his family and his grandmother are important to him.

I don't regard this as a healthy relationship where a new spouse is the catalyst to divide someone from their family. She's done it with both sides of her family and know her in laws.. on paper ot looks like she cant maintain long term meaningful relationships.

Cerseirys · 25/02/2020 22:02

It's almost as if some people want him to get booed...

annielouise · 25/02/2020 22:05

You'd be surprised Seneca. I'm half Scots and grew up just outside of Edinburgh.

annielouise · 25/02/2020 22:06

It's good to hear that he did fly commercial though. Sensible move if he's going to talk about flying and the environment in any respect.

annielouise · 25/02/2020 22:08

Pinkpeone, there was a good article by Bel Mooney in the DM about H's relationship with his grandmother. She's an agony aunt type person, although a well respected journalist I believe and a loyal monarchist, as she herself said.

Hopefully he has seen family when he flew into London first before heading up to Edinburgh.

Pinkpeone1 · 25/02/2020 22:09

I hope he's not boo'd.
He was such a popular prince a couple of years ago and it would be horrible for him to have a different reception and having to process that. He's given up so much.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 25/02/2020 22:12

It's almost as if some people want him to get booed...

Funny that. Just like some people obviously want the marriage to fail, which is horrible.

Encyclo · 25/02/2020 22:15

Hoping for a really positive month for them.

Harry must be dreading the hostile:stony faced reception he's going to get.

I'd love him to be pleasantly surprised.

RethpoDad · 25/02/2020 22:16

What happened to the other thread? I watch Ben Fogle then bam 💥

annielouise · 25/02/2020 22:18

According to Travalyst, H says, "As tourism inevitably grows, it is critical to accelerate the adoption of sustainable practices worldwide..." I hope he and M are going to live by this too. It is a worry given the security situation they have, the amount of protection officers they will need to travel to and from the UK and Canada and wherever else they go, ignoring the financial cost of the security bill itself but just looking at the cost to the environment from all these flights.

I'm sure he won't be put in a position to be booed and will be safely guarded to avoid that embarrassment.

annielouise · 25/02/2020 22:19

He might not be dreading it at all, thinking all is fine. We don't know. I expect he just wants it all over with to get on with his new life.
