It still says "serving the monarchy" on the homepage of the Sussex Royal website. I thought the agreement with the queen was that they no longer will serve the monarchy!

i disagree about Camila. most people will have got over it. Diana was no saint and if reports are true had affairs with married men.

Just to say how much I in fact do like Camilla and always have. Such a shame things didn't work out so that she and Charles got together in the first place. She comes across as warm, funny and likeable to me, and also a better fit for the RF (if it hadn't been for all the scandal at the time!) than Diana, for all the latter's good qualities.

I also find it endearing of Charles to have been in love with her, since she is and was pleasant-but-ordinary-looking, even though Diana came to look like a supermodel.

Being kind is a nice message of course, but hardly newsworthy as it appears on my FB feed all the time. I'm a bit 'so what' about it.

Don't know if Diana actually had a medical examination (how grim if so!) but yes, this is one of the reasons Camilla wasn't considered suitable AFAIK. Also, unfortunately, Camilla actively wanted to marry Andrew PB at the time, although I don't think they were very happy in the long term even leaving aside the C&C affair - he had a lot of affairs himself, I think.

However, there was a lot of innuendo in the press about how she'd never had a "serious" boyfriend and didn't have a "past" nudge nudge, wink wink etc

And when Andrew got engaged to Sarah Ferguson there was even more innuendo about the fact that she'd "lived with" (ie had sex with) a previous boyfriend.

One bit of good news. Katie Hopkins who posted some horrible stuff about MM, has (for the time being) been suspended from Twitter.

Camilla was considered a catch, quite a looker and full of personality. I imagine she is one of those people who is much prettier when animated. The QM was always described as a radiant beauty, very sought after by the young men in her circle, but you wouldn't know it to look at her photos.

Because I remember a lot of the Camilla/Charles/Diana story at the time, I'm not particularly well disposed towards her, but this is one of those instances where I feel if she performs her official role well, her personal life isn't any of my business.

I detest bloody Katie Hopkins, but this "Center" (not "centre"--notice the US spelling) sounds dodgy as hell and I don't think they should have the right to remove any posts which are not actually inciting violence or doxxing people.

Yes, this makes good sense. I've never understood all the people who seem to consider her positively unattractive (to put it more politely than many of them do). She seems full of life and personality. I don't know if anyone's seen the YouTube footage of her and PC smothering helpless giggles while listening to throat singers (in ?Canada) but, while not that culturally sensitive I guess, it is very funny. IMO. And demonstrates that as a couple they are really happy and have fun together.

I really don't blame Charles for anything other than being weak. He was railroaded into marrying Diana, and was in love with Camilla who had married APB. It was obvious from the start that he was fond of Diana but not in love with her. And I don't think she was in love with him either - dazzled by him, yes.

So it's a shit state of affairs all round, but Diana and Charles were a bloody awful match, neither covered themselves with glory, and I am just glad that C&C have finally found happiness together.

Never heard that before. It would certainly be a turn-up for the books (especially if you've watched The Crown).

Wasn't the 'rumour' that APB had a fling with Anne, which was what drove Camilla to have a fling with Charles, hoping to make APB jealous. Presumably worked, as he married her!
