And best wishes to mustress and thanks for her excellent thread titles.

Dinner here will be a random stew of green lentils, carrots, one sweet potato lying alone in the larder, mushrooms that were about to turn, and broccoli, all in tomato sauce.

Will roast some pork belly as a side.

ockingchaircandle

Bigger picture- you then posted on here, so posters have to click to read and see if they agree with your point, or let it stand.
I have often seen posters being asked for their source so, as a result, if I post something I usually link the source. It is up to the reader whether they scroll on by, read and/or open the link.

This is a big give away that it's clickbait gossip! Deliberately worded to be vague
My thoughts on what 'staging an intervention' means were not deliberately vague. You missed out the context of my response from your quote. Maybe you are just hard of thinking?

so people can attribute the worst interpretations.
Or they could attribute the best. Not everyone is full of negativity.

Quite.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 13:31

Why am I feeling sorry for the lonely sweet potato in 7Worfs's larder?

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 13:32

And as we're only 280 posts away from starting the next thread, let's do all we can to keep this one standing.

There is no need to start a bunfight with anyone.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 13:38

Anyway - in other new, I have poured a pink gin, on the grounds that it was v. expensive and needs to be used up.

DH tried it. He was not impressed.

I sent him back to his sign-painting at the gate.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 13:38

Other news, even. ^^

goldierocks · 25/01/2020 13:39

Maybe just drop this picture whenever it's required Smile

I think that masterly inactivity is the way forward.

HarryDaylight · 25/01/2020 13:44

I forgot to order some battered haggises from Scotland to have with chips for our Burns Night Supper, so am making do with a charcuterie and cheese board.
And lots of Wine

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 13:44

Do nothing, say nothing.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 13:45

Now that sounds like a wonderful supper, Harry.

This is the kind of passive-aggressive comments I mean! I won't name anyone, so no one has a right of reply but I will still get a reply in and try and portray myself on the moral high ground.

This thread opens with a nasty post that used this 'no-names, but holier than thou' tactic that made me a target. You're still declining to clear that up @TheMustressMhor. So, give over with all this, please!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/01/2020 13:46

Some good news, HMQ and PP have both been seen up and about (though separately) driving through Sandringham.

I was very concerned that PP might be in critically poor health for the Queen to pull out of her WI gig. But they both seem ok.

HarryDaylight · 25/01/2020 13:47

Thank you Mustress Crown Smile

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 13:47

LilyMumsNet suggested that we scroll past posts if we chose to.

I believe that was very good advice.

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 25/01/2020 13:48

If you're someone who likes very expensive designer clothes, and being able to wear them only once before moving on to the next thing, it could be argued that it doesn't matter tuppence if you can't really say what you think

It genuinely wouldn't matter to me. But not for clothes and nice things though that would be a lovely benefit. But being able to become informed on and bring attention to subjects and issues close to my heart eg Kate and early years and Harry and disabled veterans and Invictus. Just because you're not shouting your views it doesn't mean you're not making a difference. For example autism is very close to my heart as I have children with it. Being in a position where I have access to use powerful ears in order to raise awareness and fund raise would be more than enough for me. Meghan seems to want the adulation and being feted rather more than the actual making a difference.

Myimaginarycat I think PP really is in poor health and it is likely to decline, but I'm glad if he's been up and about.

The Queen is 93. We expect so much of her.

I cannot see that she will ever agree to a Regency. She has invested her whole life in this.

I have finished that foul pink gin quam celerime as the Ancient Romans used to say.

Yuk. There is still half a bottle left.

ilovejeffgoldblum · 25/01/2020 13:51

I have reported you rocking , I'm a lurker who has read every post, you are being deliberately goady .

rockingchaircandle · 25/01/2020 13:52

Ok, final thoughts -if you manage to leave it too, @TheMustressMhorMustress...

LilyMumsNet suggested that we scroll past posts if we chose to. I believe that was very good advice.

She did suggest this, she didn't say you had to narrate it though. That is passive-aggressive policing. Which was also warned about. Everybody can read the advice!

rockingchaircandle · 25/01/2020 13:54

@ilovejeffgoldblum

That is your right. I'm just sticking up for myself, on a thread that opened with this 'I won't say your name, but I will refer to' stuff. Maybe other people could silently report as well?
