…… with an occasional look at wild garlic.

Thanks to MrsHuggett for the thread title.

This is Thread Ten, unbelievably.

@curlywurlytwirly what did Serena's husband say?

OVienna · 20/01/2020 07:24

I can't bring myself to watch the whole of the video. Think I'll send up throwing my phone at something. This is a couple who certainly don't improve on closer acquaintance - as I said earlier I missed much of the gossip, certainly didn't take in anything of detail.

Can we have a new topic for the group of posters on this thread after it's all...died down???

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 20/01/2020 07:25

@catinb0oots

This wasn’t the original tweet I saw ( that one was something about « being kind»)

However this tweet appears to be directed towards Meghan if you look at the language and the replies.

BalloonSlayer · 20/01/2020 07:31

I was shocked at the BBC last night, reporting on this.

(It was before Harry's speech, BTW)

The voiceover said, "the departure of one of the most popular members of the Royal Family . . . (definite pause) and his wife."

I mean, I know this is an anti-Meghan thread so probably the wrong place to put this, but it's stuff like this that drips poison: an organisation like the BBC, which has the remit to be unbiased, putting across a CLEAR message of "no one likes Meghan" into their news reporting.

Lordfrontpaw · 20/01/2020 07:45

Not an anti Megan thread. More a ‘what the hell did they think would happen?’ thread.

OVienna · 20/01/2020 07:52

Yes, @Lordfrontpaw

Soffy · 20/01/2020 07:53

Wow. This thread is like looking into the minds of a group of bitchy , bullying 14 year olds. It really is pack mentality at its worse.

I expect some of you making spiteful made- up comments about someone you've never met and only 'know' through what you see in the media are the same ones who would be on here bleating if one of your kids were being bullied.

soberfabulous · 20/01/2020 07:57

soffy yes!!

OVienna · 20/01/2020 07:59

There are people who have a different perception of this couple's behaviour than you do, @Soffy . Of their sense of entitlement and victimhood, set against the extreme privilege of their lives. Of the strategy they tried to use to get what they wanted. That's all.

@Ovienna. Cut the crap love. This is an excuse to have a massive bitch fest about a woman none of you know. Its misogyny at its worst. Woman = master manipulator Man = victim.

At least own your shit.

OVienna · 20/01/2020 08:04

Nope, you are wrong. Cut your own crap. I was a supporter of theirs. The website and Instagram page and that interview in Africa with their media patsy said it all. You disagree with me - your right. But there is another entirely legitimate lender to cure their behaviour.

I am based in the UK. Are you?

OVienna · 20/01/2020 08:05

If you actually read the other threads and my comments there you would see my issue is fundamentally with Harry. Please explain to me how he is a victim.

OVienna · 20/01/2020 08:06

"Lense to view their behaviour"
But they will probably find a "lender" too...

I just found the new thread

I LOVE the thread title, but was looking at one that mentioned "other Royals". I thought the plan was to warn off people who come on and say, "HOW can you have 10 threads about H&M when PA has behaved far worse, by implication you must all be condoning what he is doing! and similar tosh.

Please explain. It's early and I haven't had my coffee yet!

Soffy · 20/01/2020 08:09

Yes I'm in the UK. I'm even British. Shockingly the place you live doesnt preclude you from having an opinion .

There is some fowl, spiteful, nasty remarks being made which is nothing more than a reason to pull someone apart. The overriding message is that its Meghans fault. That's not simply disagreeing with what a couple are doing. It's an excuse to lay the blame on the woman.

Hideous.

MeghanMountbattenSausage · 20/01/2020 08:11

I WISH MN would allow you to edit stuff so that when you say "at" instead of "for" and put an exclamation mark instead of quotations you can go back and correct it.....Sad

Butterisbest · 20/01/2020 08:12

the BBC which has the remit to be unbiased
🤣🤣🤣
That's really funny,

MissEliza · 20/01/2020 08:19

I saw Harry's speech on the morning news and I think he came across as petulant for not getting his own way. It's also disrespectful as this is what his granny thinks is the right way to protect the institution she has devoted her life to.

queenofarles · 20/01/2020 08:19

I think he looked to put to bed the following conjectures:

1.All about money with no duty
2.Family hates Meghan
3.they hate the British people

But what about Meghan , doesn’t she hate the family or what? She certainly appears to with all her friends talking about how toxic the family is,
I felt sorry for him, but I think it’s a little too late, this was a huge story world wide and they did so much damage to the British people and RF.
at least he is patching things up with his brother which is a good thing.
I believe he wouldn’t be able to do so if Meghan was with him in the Uk.

SpanishLady · 20/01/2020 08:22

Soffy - I assume you know Meghan?

By your own account you may only comment if you know her - so if you don't you cant prove she isn't all the stuff you state people on here have said she is.

Do you actually read the thread? - plenty of us give balanced posts

I also think it really lazy that posters like you just criticise others rather than make your counter argument

yolofish · 20/01/2020 08:23

Morning all. Am hoping to survive the dentist this morning but will certainly not be thriving afterwards.

I think we are all becoming increasingly worried about Haz. Yes he is petulant, demanding and childish, but he is clearly not happy. Meanwhile Megz is looking at houses, flying in her pilates guru etc. Not quite the support I imagine he needs and maybe hoped for.

Tomselleckhaskindeyes · 20/01/2020 08:29

I think there has been a lot of great analysis on these threads. Go look at the comments on the mail online. They are BRUTAL.
Anyway instead of just insulting everybody why don’t you put the counter argument forward and debate with people. I am really interested in that.

eggandonion · 20/01/2020 08:32

I think it's definitely a case of being careful what you wish for. I'd imagine they have a lot of legal stuff to sort, solicitors to visit and papers to sign.
I think William needs a relationship with Harry, they went through a lot together. Charles must be livid. The small kids have second cousins to play with at family events, I suppose Archie will have to party with the Clooney twins.
