No-one has said that hagenmeister - just some folk think that going to Church with your Mum is not an offence.

Nikhedonia · 19/01/2020 14:27

Instead they had to accept charidee from a shady cartel, with Russian connections instead.

Has it finally been revealed who's house they are staying in? Surely it's not actually a shady connection?

Haven't they learnt from PA?

SunsetBoulevard3 · 19/01/2020 14:27

SirChing
Completely agree with your post

SusanneLinder · 19/01/2020 14:34

When her family and ex friends came out and said she was a narcissist and uses people to get what she wants I put it down to nasty press and having a dysfunctional family. Recent events have started me wondering if there is any truth in it..Confused.
I did think it was pretty out of order on their African tour, when visiting extreme poverty stricken countries and areas about how hard done to they were. Angry

SusanneLinder · 19/01/2020 14:36

Sorry.." moaning about how hard it is as life as a Royal".

Butterymuffin · 19/01/2020 14:36

It's been said time and time again on this thread and the previous ones that posters think Andrew and his behaviour are loathsome. Perhaps we should get 'Andrew is NOT OK in our view' added to the thread title to ward off the posters who haven't read any and come storming in to make this killer point Hmm

Lilybetsey · 19/01/2020 14:37

I watched that you tube video, I applaud that young woman (and I am delighted that she is black and so can’t really be accused of racism toward MM) everything she said, with the exception of her incorrect pronunciation of “viscountess” was exactly spot on as to why the public have gone off MM. She is not British, and so possibly does not understand the constitutional issues that the monarchy must be impartial, but absolutely everything else is Spot on !

I think ph and MM should watch that ...

SeperatedSwans · 19/01/2020 14:40

Hey all, I've had sometime to reflect, I just want to say I'm ok.

I agree with a previous poster who stated the Cambridge children in 20years time will be full time working royals, and I also agree this could be the air of frostiness between W and H.

I also just want to say I think Andrews behaviour is abhorrent, I am glad.to see his no longer a full time working royal, but he can have private time with his mother and vice versa. There are plenty of people in prisons all over the UK for various abhorrent crimes and their mothers still visit them. It's a mother's love.

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 19/01/2020 14:41

That made me Grin. Whoever starts the new thread please do this.

rockingchaircandle · 19/01/2020 14:43

Think you're missing the Andrew point... 'no one's happy, but what can we do?'.
You can't do anything about Meghan and Harry either!
They've negotiated a break from the royal family. Prince Andrew has done way worse.

No one is saying it's a 'killer point', it just seems crap that people are so over-invested in one and not the other.
You can't stop people wondering why!

SunsetBoulevard3 · 19/01/2020 14:44

The grin in the car leaving church was a bit sickening however.

Chocpear · 19/01/2020 14:45

Those commenting PH will keep his patronages. Newspapers are reporting he can only keep his private patronages. Would the royal patronages be the ones linked to the military? Thank you

Notmyrealname855 · 19/01/2020 14:45

Haven’t been keeping up with this enough!

Firstly - the videos at the Lion King are pretty awful. But why beg for work there? Any possibility they were already on the way out? There’s a sad/ weird desperation to it. As pp have said, it’s not so much networking as bulldozing. As if H&M are desperate for the work and willing to ask, but don’t have the power to contact these Hollywood types otherwise to ask - like it’s a rare opportunity.

Secondly - it’s really sad for the kids. For Archie, who blatantly wont know his cousins. For the others, who’ll have to go straight into Royal life with no Harry as a buffer. Maybe Eugenie and her husband could do more, they seem sweet?

(Also to emphasise.... Andrew is absolute scum and should be speaking to law enforcement officials)

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 19/01/2020 14:45

A good many of CatherineOfAragon's posts seem to be about what I am eating.

So - I have just had bacon, black pudding, egg and toast.

Is it too early for a glass of sherry?

**

@TheMustressMhor I must say I find your penchant for eating well, whilst refusing to share, very reminiscent of some of the individuals that are the focus of this discussion.

It's all very me me me.Envy

BoreOfWhabylon · 19/01/2020 14:45

Remember Kate was about to make a significant announcement just before the H & M instagram post that kicked all this off?

Wonder what happened about that.

Notmyrealname855 · 19/01/2020 14:46

She comes across very well! www.instagram.com/princesseugenie/?hl=en

SirChing · 19/01/2020 14:47

@SunsetBoulevard3 Thank you, that's kind to say.

I also agree with the "More than one Royal can be a shitbag at once" proposal for the top of the next thread.

Maybe "Andrew is NOT Ok and not only because nobody asked him"?

Froq · 19/01/2020 14:52

If only she had ended up with Ashley Cole.

TheMustressMhor · 19/01/2020 14:53

@hagenmeister

I have not mentioned Prince Andrew once in this thread.

Of course I do not think that he should not be held accountable.

It's a bit of a leap to suggest that because I am glad M and H are going, I therefore approve of Prince Andrew.

But when we get to the end of this thread and I (or someone) is creating the next thread, we must certainly mention Prince Andrew in the title, to appease everyone who thinks we've been discussing the Sussexes as some kind of smokescreen with regard to PA's alleged misdeeds.
Sheesh.

Wonder what happened about that.

There was an announcement about a prize for climate change research that W & C are setting up.

Could everyone also sign off their posts with a disclaimer?

rockingchaircandle · 19/01/2020 15:02

Yep, more than one Royal can be a shit bag at once.

However, one has been potentially criminally 'shit', and much worse than the other couple.

No one thinks you're a smokescreen! Confused

It's a very interesting comparison, the (often hysterical) attention Meghan and Harry have received compared to his uncle.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 19/01/2020 15:03

Well I thought HMQ had handled everything brilliantly with yesterday's statement & the wrapping up of 'Megxit'.
So why on earth has HMQ shot herself in the foot by having Andrew photographed with her this morning?
Is she on glue?
Or maybe just a mother/grandmother/wife fed up with everything & just wants a bit of peace & harmony in her old age 🤷‍♀️

ChicCroissant · 19/01/2020 15:03

Oh the irony in trying to come up with a framework that could also work for Charlotte and Louis to use in future years, if they have no chance of doing that themselves due to the shortage of working Royals!

There will just be less engagements with the Royals all round, I expect - less patronages, visits, overseas tours. If it all slows down when it is Charles and William/Kate, fairly unlikely demand would increase which would hopefully let Charlotte and Louis off the hook later in life if they wish.

Nikhedonia · 19/01/2020 15:07

Seems rather unfortunate for George Sad
