I think this generally is a great outcome for a family within an institution - very tricky and unique thing.
I think the proof will be in the pudding - if they go off and support their charities etc it will be great both for the causes they support and then as a family
Still for me a shame how it was handled - as noted a million times, had this been part of a combined and joined up strategy we would have all wished them well as the monarchy slims down and prepares for the next monarch - a core family with less tabloid stories and stoic duty helping the UK adjust to a new era post Brexit etc. New year, new approach, new broom coming in.
It shouldn't have been Harry and Meghan steering this boat - they should just be getting in deciding what their new life looks like and leaving all that announcement stuff to the palace. This would Also have given people like her sister nothing to say.
But it was what it was. I hope Harry gets to leave soon and they quietly get on with a hopefully long and happy new life together. I hope Meghan and Archie do visit the UK and take part in private family life - I think it will be quite telling if she doesn't .
If they do an interview next with Meghan blaming the RF, media or British people I really don't think I can continue to believe there has been a lot of unfair supposition as to motive and I would despair as who is making these crazy PR .decisions - but we will see!
