Just seeing if there’s any interest. I think they have their faults but I think this may turn out to be a good thing long term. Anyone want to join in?

I don't think it's fruitful to pit Kate against Meghan. They both have their strengths and their weaknesses. I just think that it is very sad that the RF and Meghan and Harry couldn't figure out how to make it work. I suspect that, like in many difficult situations, there is some fault on all sides. But the fact remains that the attacks on Meghan began soon after her appearance on the scene, and some certainly appear to have been racially motivated. I think that more should have been done to speak out against that kind of abuse early on.

I think they could've made it easier for themselves but there comes a point in life when you have to look after your family and I imagine Archie being born focussed their lhoughts, that it was never really going to get better.

And we don't know how this panned out, the Royal advisers probably work at a snails pace, and it looks like they had been asking for a different role from the start. And then there was the leak to the Sun that hastened their announcement.

The sentiment is ok. It is a shame they didn't stick around to do more. But calling their attempts to stand up against bullies and bullying a "hissy fit" shows yolo was on the wrong thread.

There aren't bitchy nasty unwarranted comments about Kate M on here, nothing to compare with the threads elsewhere on Meghan.
Personally I think she does a fantastic job given her position, and me not liking her dress style is pretty tame, or saying Kate is compared to Meghan by the press is hardly bitching about her ..

Personally, I dont think I've said anything bitchy about Meghan and certainly not about Catherine.

MM had many things against her - (if that is how you see things) - skin-colour, married before ( not virginal like Diana), American/ Candian I'm not sure which but either way I read that UClasees in UK are snooty to them (Rich and confident but no automatic respect for class), a successful woman in her own right (getting above herself ), rich (envy), beautiful ( envy) , nabbed the last Prince (how dare she), didn't follow protocol EXACTLY (upstart) .

I hope that W&K downgrade the role of monarchy to a more simple a la Netherlands type of role. Living a performing monkey role for your whole life must affect your mental health. The queen was loved and respected through her formative years and if she did anything wrong we never heard of it. She did a poor job of bringing up her DCs but that is seen as their failings, not hers.
