Previous thread

-Today Prince Harry is doing the draw for the Rugby League. (Not sure if it’s a public location but there’s bound to be a lot of press interest)

  • He has said he is going to stay in the UK for a bit longer to thrash out the details of “Megxit”
  • Meghan has been on a second surprise visit in Vancouver
  • Opinion coming out of Canada is that; not only do they not want to fund the Sussexes; having a member of the a Royal Family make Canada their permanent home is not acceptable.

It's perfectly possible for someone to have angioplasty following a heart attack and two days later be eating a Happy Meal. Not advisable, but possible.

scaryteacher · 17/01/2020 00:02

Colouring www.sohohouse.com/

Founded by the husband of Kirsty Young (she who used to do Desert Island Discs)

MM used it to network with Millie Macintosh and the Made In Chelsea lot iirc. MMs mate Markus Anderson is also heavily involved in it.

Basically a club for the beautiful meeja people and the 'creatives' (if you can afford it).

Lunde · 17/01/2020 00:04

Is the "yachting scene" similar to the stories about young female celebs going to monaco / cannes and going onto boats as "guests"?

Yes as I understand it. Yacht girls are "guests" of rich yacht owners in various locations worldwide who are paid for the "services" they offer (often models and celebs facing hard times ... allegedly)

I have taken the liberty of creating the next thread

A little early perhaps but I'm going to bed soon.

Can someone post a link when we're near the end of this one?

Yes I think the average hospital stay for angioplasty is 12-24 hours.

So perfectly possible to have the procedure and be in Maccys 2 days later - although perhaps not the recommended diet ..... perhaps he got the grilled chicken salad Crown Wink

Mummy195 · 17/01/2020 00:09

just all the fluff reported about them really. No one knows the real thing.

NumbersStation · 17/01/2020 00:09

The nearest I got to yachting was a banana boat in Cyprus.

Not quite the same thing by the sounds of it.

Mummy195 · 17/01/2020 00:16

scaryteacher
that is kind of the point, misleading headlines.

NumbersStation · 17/01/2020 00:16

I don’t suppose the ferry to Skye counts either... (shows age again)

scaryteacher · 17/01/2020 00:19

I ended up being strapped to the galley and cooking for a crew of junior RN officers, as dh (who was senior) had got into sailing in a big way, and inveigled me into doing a cross channel race. The last straw was when the heads packed up. Whilst the blokes could just pee over the side, or hang their hairy arses over the stern, the females couldn't. We had to pee in a bucket, and when someone heeled the boat whilst I was trying to have a wee, I was underwhelmed (as was my wet leg).

The alternative to cooking was doing a night watch and being asked to pull on a kicking strap (some kind of rope I think). Fuck that; I offered to cook if I didn't have to pull on ropes or stay on deck when it was dark, damp and dangerous.

I might just have spat in the food (after I'd taken my portion out).

Mummy195 · 17/01/2020 00:20

from the looks of threads like this, pp think H&M have something against them, but they have something against the press.

Nothing on the plebs. More like the press keeps diverting issues, and making it look like they hate the public, but they clearly don't .

scaryteacher · 17/01/2020 00:20

Mummy The headlines didn't mislead if you read them properly.

crispysausagerolls · 17/01/2020 00:23

Have people seen the latest Dm where her friend is saying she had to leave as the RF was so toxic!

scaryteacher · 17/01/2020 00:23

And yet Mummy, if they'd played it well, they could have had the press eating out of their hands...look at the Cambridges, or the favourable coverage of the Princess Royal. It should be a mutual back scratching exercise - their charities get publicity, they get kudos and the press get carefully staged photo ops, or pics (again, see the Cambridges).

colouringinpro · 17/01/2020 00:23

thanks strictly, scary, lunde

It all seems so incestuous- that world of wealth. Also just found a pic with Eugenie in standing next to a Katherine Keating, Aus PM daughter, seen waving to PA as he left Epstein's island.

www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/when-privilege-becomes-a-curse-how-katherine-keating-used-her-status-as-pms-daughter-to-befriend-royals-and-infiltrate-new-yorks-high-society-and-why-she-has-gone-into-hiding-since-being-linked-to-jeffrey-epstein/ar-AAGgZSp

actually feeling rather sorry for Beatrice and Eugenie!

colouringinpro · 17/01/2020 00:25

sorry, Epstein's townhouse

Mummy195 · 17/01/2020 00:26

so poor Thomas Markle was not knocking on death's door as ppl like to believe then.

Mummy195 · 17/01/2020 00:28

the Cambridges can stage all they like. H&M are not staging anything and taking the mick out of us. They are being true and being themselves. You either respect them for that or you like disingenuous people.

NumbersStation · 17/01/2020 00:33

When my grandma was dying of cancer she wanted cigarettes and a jammy piece.

You want what you want. I’m not sure you immediately reach for a salad and wheatgrass when your mortality is thrust in front of your eyes.

And yes. She had both because we loved her, she was dying and that is what she wanted.

If it had been a burger and fries, she would have had that.

And when she died two days later we were glad we had given her what she wanted.

Cool0lady0 · 17/01/2020 00:33

I have never been a fan of MM and always felt it was a bit off

Same. The whole racism angle is so ridiculous. She’s such an unlikable, spoilt narcissist but because she’s half black any criticism of her is deemed racist?! I’m sorry but it’s got absolutely nothing to do with race.

Grandmi · 17/01/2020 00:37

I just think that the main casualties are the extended family of Harry and Meghan. I have really tried to stay on their side but the last few days have not persuaded me . They are definitely on a self distruct mode and not even trying to help themselves!!! I worry about Archie..?

TheMustressMhor · 17/01/2020 00:40

Someone has already posted "boring" on the New Thread

Andylion · 17/01/2020 00:40

This thread is no where near being near the end and another has been started? This is unnecessarily confusing,

TheMustressMhor · 17/01/2020 00:40

I pointed out that they were not obliged to read it or post on it.

scaryteacher · 17/01/2020 00:41

Mummy I dislike the fact that PH holds a Commission from HM (his Gran) which puts duty first and foremost, and yet he sees fit to ignore it. He has been given privileges and advantages that most of us can only dream of; opportunities beyond anything any of us could have..this has been extended to MM as his wife...and they throw it back at HM, and by extension, the UK.

They are adults, and should both know better. I don't respect either of them. I think their behaviour is contemptible. If you have great privilege and wealth (and they have both), then you have a great responsibility to use that for good. In PH's case, his responsibility lies in the UK, as that is from whence his privilege and wealth springs.

Who are you to tell me that I either respect them or that means I like liars? They are the disingenuous ones. I had a lot of time for PH, but not any more, and judging from the comments from some of the military (which is PH's community), nor do they. His conduct in this matter has been described as unbecoming. That's about the gravest insult you can issue to a military officer. He needs to take heed of that, and I hope he is chewing on it internally.
