• Meghan has been on a second surprise visit in Vancouver
• Opinion coming out of Canada is that; not only do they not want to fund the Sussexes; having a member of the a Royal Family make Canada their permanent home is not acceptable.

I wonder what will happen to the UK charities they are patrons of? The Canada-UK thing has been billed as a transition period so when that ends are they going to be based permanently outside the UK?

God, this constant checking is exhausting.

I don't think I have been asked if I am ok by an adult in about 15 years. Not exaggerating; single parent. If I could get a chorus of "are you ok WendyMoiraAngelaDarling?" I must just make it through the next 15 years without one .

@MissEliza she changed the band of her engagement ring adding a circle of small diamonds. It was jarring because Prince Harry had designed the ring himself with the biggest diamond from Botswana (where they met) and two smaller ones from a piece once owned by his mother, Princess Diana. At the she claimed that yellow gold was her favourite and yet by Christmas 2018 it was exchanged for a thinner, pave band of either white gold or silver. Odd! It is fortunate that Harry gave his mother's engagement ring to William for Kate. William had chosen her watch, Harry her ring apparently.

I have been reading the MOS defence to MM's claim. If it is true, and I assume that he can prove it, that Thomas Markle paid her tuition fees and he repaid her student loans after she graduated then she is a disgrace. To stand and tell young girls that she paid her own way, took loans and jobs etc to work her way through college and that they can do the same if she didn't actually do that is disgraceful. I actually hope that it isn't true because I can't imagine how anyone could lie to young impressionable girls and set themselves up as a role model based on deceit.

I don't really see the issue with the engagement ring. It's the same stones in a slightly different setting. And I really think that's no-one's business but theirs.

I dislike the way Meghan and Harry have behaved but I think there is a point where a thread can just descend into general bitchiness. I hope that doesn't happen here as it's been so interesting to read all the different views.

I hope that Mr Markle kept his bank statements and other documents showing that he paid for her fees. It was a long time ago so maybe he hasn't but it would be great if he did !

Sorry, misread the date, the ring in its second form was first seen in June 2019. I have though found a better photo where you can see how much she changed it. She added a lot of diamonds, more like an eternity band.

The ring was better before she pimped it (imho). It was timeless and classy.

Delurking to say Thank you for asking if lurkers are ok.

I’m not ok actually, I’ve just eaten a large piece of cannoli pie which is only available for a week a year at our local pie shop and feel quite ill. Far too big, should have saved some for tomorrow.

Also I AM actually stuck living in a country I don’t want to live in, existing, not living, but alas do not have millions of pounds to enable me to leave this place so must suffer for an undetermined amount of time.
