I forgot to tell you all that the man who christened Gizmo and Linney "The Broon One and The White One" died a couple of weeks ago.

Gizmo was very fond of him. 'Twas this man who provided Gizmo with sardines and the occasional tin of dog food.

Gizmo still goes and sits on his window ledge, hoping for fodder and a space on the man's couch.

As this is sheltered housing, there will be a new occupant in No. 14 soon.

He or she (or they) will be puzzled by the incursion of Mr. G. I am sure that Gizmo will continue to pop in.

Do I exist only to feed cats, clean out their litter trays and dole out Dreamies?

Well this thread has taken a turn for the worse. All Gizmo's fault of course.

It looks suspiciously like the excellent Sybil has been moonlighting as a model @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats Has she been splashing the cash recently? Buying extra nip? Staying out late?

And neither does Gizmo.

Quite well. Mainly because I once forced my stupid husband to get out of bed and hoik Gizmo off the man's sofa.

I've realised that I've ended up with one of my other usernames on this thread. Never mind, I'm sure I have the only Boris and Matilda on this thread, so everyone knows who I am.

I've been slightly traumatised today by finding the biggest spider I've ever seen in my house in the bath this morning. I'm not usually bothered by spiders, but this one was so enormous that I noped right out of my morning shower and decided on a sink wash for the first time ever. I eventually plucked up the courage to try and encourage it into the dustpan with a sheet of paper with the intention of taking it outside. Unfortunately it tried to scuttle up the paper towards my hand, so I panicked and threw the piece of paper + spider out the window. Sorry spider. Matilda and Boris completely ignored the massive mutant spider situation.

That's a very judgey look. He seems to be getting more furry, but he looks like he's sporting a semi mohican look with a fluffier stripe between his ears. I think it suits his personality.
