I remember someone reserving a black cat from my rescue but having to cancel because her idiotic mother, who lived with her, thought they were evil.

As for Instagram, I fostered one black kitten in particular who was fabulously photogenic - I always thought she should have had her own social media accounts.

I love that almost every photo on my phone is predominantly a black void with 2 eyes 😂 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

I actually wanted to adopt a black cat as I love their black fur and know they're difficult to get adopted, he just came with his white with stripy bits sister who I'm sure would have been popular to adopt.

Same here. Looking to adopt the 2 black cats the rescue charity had on their website but they had already gone so we adopted all black Mama Pollock with her tuxedo kitten.

I didn’t post as was trying not to worry too much but Finlay has been AWOL for 8 days - his tracker ran out of battery on Thursday afternoon after leaving home last Sunday - as Thursday was so hot I was very stressed
Just walked in now - looking very skinny and rather damp
I’ve just had a big sob on DS who has been telling me to keep faith all week
Im actually glad autumn is looming n the weather might keep him home

It's no wonder you've been worried @JaceLancs especially considering the excessively hot weather. I'm really glad he's home and safe, hopefully he'll be happy to spend some time recovering from his latest adventure. I'm sure you're right and staying out for days will be less appealing when the weather turns. Hopefully he'll be happy to spend more time on his slipper supervising lego and jigsaws.

Black cats are great! Not sure why she's feeling the need to remain anonymous, but that's a very expressive cats bum and she seems like an excellent cat.

Finlay needs one of those trackers they put on released wildlife and/or birds of prey and you go out in a land-rover and wave a huge TV aerial about. What a naughty boy scaring you like that 😿

For the first 4/5 days until tracker battery ran down he was in his usual field which has absolutely nowhere to get shut in - after that who knows!
The little scoundrel set off out again at 5am today so am only expecting to see him if it rains later
It was so lovely to have lap time and cuddles last night and such a relief

Your garden is very lush, it's been so very dry and bleached around here I had forgotten that vegetation can be green!
