I love those leopardish spots.

A very silly, soppy leopard, who constantly wants strokes and snuggles.

Pudmyboy · 13/10/2026 19:17

Don't know why but Boudi's most recent pictures have only just appeared on my phone, is that a large shaved patch I see? I take it that's the site of her surgery?
I hope, long before the fur has had a chance to grow back, she's curled nearby if not on your lap, purring like a little engine😻

RumNotRun · 13/10/2026 19:47

Yes, that's where she was spayed. I have a feeling she's going to have a noisy purr. I caught her sauntering across my room earlier when I woke from a nap. She was moving from one hiding place to the one diagonally opposite but was quite calm being out in the open while I was still.

The woman who had fostered her gave me an extendable stick with a kind of grooming thing on the end. Apparently that was what they used to stroke her. No wonder she's nervous around people!

People have the oddest ideas. If someone came at me with a pokey thing I'd probably feel quite bitey too.

Apparently Edith's first foster (the one I took over Edith from after she "had a nervous breakdown") couldn't get near her. She had a large gash across her face when she delivered Edie to illustrate the fact.

Broon I thought Gizmo and Linney were quite tolerant of each other? I seem to remember a photo of them sniffing noses, captioned 'it's lurve'...
Maybe Gizmo made a crude remark about Sybil and Linney defended her honour?

They usually are tolerant of one another, but now and again, Gizmo starts up hostilities for no apparent reason.
I daresay he's got a reason.
I just don't know what it is.
🤣

Something like this? It's my backscratcher, which is excellent at the purpose it is made for, but I wouldn't go near an animal with it!

RumNotRun · 14/10/2026 08:59

Similar @Pudmyboy it's this. I do have some back scatchers which Lex and Raven like (Ghostie used to love them) but I wouldn't use anything like that on a nervous rescue cat. If I wanted to protect my skin I'd either not go near her or use one of those brushing gloves.

I’ve just been prepping tofu for air frying & Kitty was absolutely riveted until I added soy sauce.

Weird.

Fergus update! Halloween is upon us - Ferg kept kidnapping our Lego spiders from various builds - so I bought him a few plastic ones to play with which made him very happy
He is such a cuddly baby boy ❤️

@JaceLancs He is absolutely adorable, I don't know how you manage to get anything done. I'd just want to snuggle him all day long.

Pixiedust1234 · 14/10/2026 21:49

Oh my goodness... that photo of him snuggled up in the blanket, I'm melting 🤗

JaceLancs · 15/10/2026 09:26

@RumNotRun its hard when I’m WFH as he just wants to play
Thank you @Pixiedust1234 such cute toe beans too

I’ve got a friend whose cat likes to sit on his arm when he’s WFH.

RumNotRun · 15/10/2026 13:26

Vixie used to drape herself across my shoulders when I was working. Raven tends to only come over if I'm in a call so people see her tail waving in front of the camera. Toad occasionally (like this morning) will hurl himself at my shoulder with all his spikes out, scratch my arm, and then sit on the back of the chair having a noisy wash with one foot propped on my back.

He's in trouble this afternoon cause he keeps leaping onto the TV no matter how many times I tell him no and lift him off. I ended up shutting him out of the room so now he's sulking in the kitchen.

How kind!

I’ve decided on Kitty’s Xmas present but that’s as far as my planning’s gone.

Allergictoironing · 15/10/2026 19:21

I don't work from home ever, a combination of the ADHD making it very hard to concentrate and a certain Girlcat coming over and standing on her back legs with her feet on my thigh, gently patting me until I give up whatever I'm doing to attend to her desires.

But one of the others in my team has a gorgeous Maine Coon cross Ragdoll who likes to sit in the room when she's working from home, and we've ended up most of the time on Teams meeting with her camera on the cat instead of her 😁

Wow! Now that's an Advent calendar and then some!

It must be bigger than Fergus 😹

EmpressaurusKitty · 15/10/2026 19:40

Kitty can’t decide whether she’s playing with her mouse or her Ouija board.

All this draping and sitting while people WFH is lovely.

Nico tramples across the keyboard regularly when I work at home and today he took possession of the laptop while my back was turned for 2 mins and tried to access the Dark Web. Actually did access it.

Breadcat24 · 15/10/2026 22:20

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne done
@JaceLancs Fergus is so lovely- what a cuddle bun. 8 months in and I can stroke and brush Micia but she is not going to be sitting on my knee. Was he a rescue?

Breadcat24 · 15/10/2026 22:25

@RumNotRun what news with Bou?

I think we need to head over to THIS THREAD and support the OP.

Support post written, including slightly snitty comments about some of the other posts on the thread. In fact, a large post consisting almost completely of bitching about some of the other posts!

Heading for 4 years in and I can stroke Tobias, and on a very rare occasion sit near him on the sofa. We haven't got to brushing yet!
