I am lying under a blanket. My cat is trying to have sex with the blanket.

I hate when he does this, the sexy biscuits. I’ll now have to abandon this nice blanket to my cat who already has a harem of blanket wives.

It ruins every blanket/dressing gown for me. Does anyone else feel like this and then have the ick over that specific garment? He’s 15 and has been neutered forever, he’s never tired of humping my nice things.

I can remember being round my friend’s house when we were teens and seeing her dog frantically shag a soft toy. This soft toy was rancid with ejaculate and the whole family would chat while it humped it across the floor. I was shocked and horrified lol.

My female cat does ‘make a bad smell’ if she is brushed too vigorously around her trousers, but I put it down to anal glands as opposed to sexy time. She licks her backside furiously once the smell occurs.

Neither of my boys do this I'm very happy to report, and both were neutered late (1 at a year old, the other at over 2).

I did once see Boycat trying something similar with his sister, but he was humping her ribs from the side & looked VERY confused (he was a cat with very little brain). She just lay there looking resigned. But it was only the once - I'm guessing it wasn't a particularly satisfying procedure so not worth trying again. Never seen Tobias trying it on, but then again a) he wouldn't dare and b) he clearly thinks Girlcat is far to good for him.

My cat used to do this to his bed. Now he’s a proper old cat he’s stopped so there is hope! It was so embarrassing

Our now departed boy cat used to do it to a hedgehog door stop we keep upstairs. Bloody heavy thing it is too, and he'd often hump it all the way downstairs and then drag it through to the lounge. We always felt sorry for the hedgehog!

I'm so grateful that none of my cats have ever behaved like this. I clearly just have a better class of moggy than @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne 🤣.

This is why I get female cats. Sure, she might be obsessed with me and want to live inside my skin but at least she doesn’t wank all over my stuff. 😂

I had two boy cats, a tiny tabby and a tuxedo. The tux would regularly mount the tabby when he was feeling frisky. Tabby never seemed to mind really and would just sit there and purr until it was over. They were both snipped so nothing ever "happened" so I let them get on with it.

My girl cat would just glare at them every time and I could never tell if she was offended or relieved that they ignored her for each other.

I’ve always had cats and never seen this behaviour before. It’s less now than it was. There was a stage where it happened daily to various parts of my body in bed. Then DCat found the soft toys, and I was safe.

He mostly uses his cat bed now. He is neutered.

I mentioned it to the vet once. A very beautiful Spanish chap, he told me that it was very normal and DCat was just being “a man” all while laughing at me. I must have looked like a very prudish Brit. I asked him to check he really was neutered and hadn’t had anything left behind.

I wouldn’t mind but DCat is tiny and not particularly butch. Yet he clearly has some sort of sexual deviance.

I've had several (including current soppy ginger boy) cats who suckle the blanket when they're kneading it, but that seems kitten like rather than sexual.

My (male, neutered) cat started doing this recently. He's 4 so I have idea why the change in behaviour. He still kneads his blanket daily before sleeping, but now, roughly once a week, will hump a different blanket 😡 I just try to ignore it.

Would be interesting to see which are the main “offenders” for doing this - I have 4 cats - 3 are boys and only 1 - the Tabby is a sexual miscreant 🤣 he gets really cross if I try and stop him (as it’s usually me he wants to hump!) does this awful whine that’s he’s not getting his own way (or end away!) it started when I was pregnant 10 years ago and he’s been at it ever since - you can imagine when I was then pregnant with twins - I couldn’t enter a bloody room without him jumping me (FYI I did take him to the vets about it …..she laughed!)

Yup definitely neutered - I had been struggling to conceive when my cat turned into a horny little bastard and in a flap took him to the vets thinking maybe his neutering hadn’t worked….she laughed and told ME to take a pregnancy test!

apparently it’s common with very territorial cats - tabbies being the more territorial of colours apparently (who knew!)

Luckily my girls dont do that. But one of them has a particular hatred of sofa cushions and sprays them until I throw them out in disgust. There is nothing worse than relaxing on the sofa only for that urine smell to waft up your nose.

The boy cat (neutered) I had as a child decided to make my mum’s expensive angora jumper his girlfriend. Unsurprisingly she didn’t fancy wearing it after that, and the jumper was placed in the spare bedroom so he could get on with his ‘private time’ in peace. Thankfully the girl cat I have now has shown no such inclinations.

This is why I only want female animals!

This thread has made me chuckle 😆. Our boy has fallen in lust with a small fake fur rug from Aldi. He is a very enthusiastic shagger and we are sometimes woken up by his performance in the middle of the night. He has an interesting technique whereby as well as the more traditional humping, he also does a sort of rabbit style leg thumping and holds the rug in his mouth very firmly and turns around with it, sort of tying it in a knot. I’m not sure an actual cat would be too impressed! If we are downstairs and he is upstairs having a session, we can hear him through the ceiling because of his leg action 🤪
